Just did a modem firmware upgrade!!! now i gotta throw away my modem

Reason : Always Ip conflict , so i went online and search. one of the solution is to update firmware

so i did!! Finish upgrade. leave them on for 5 minutes or so.....still blinking so i switch it off.

switch it back on, green red flashing. called netgear support. first call = "cos ur modem is outta warranty we gonna charge u" (FU)

second call about to f them up, lucky the guy happy to help. he told me i had fried my modem

lucky i got backup modem... :-( sigh... it was working perfectly fine before i update.... sigh!!

are you using a netgear / netcomm modem? and if so are you using WEP encryption for your wifi network?

can be manually fixed by configuring manual ip not relying on DHCP...

funny thing, i called net gear and the guy said no other way but to throw modem away. but i found solution online..i tried it ysterday
