I'm with @a on this one. Chuck E. Cheese's has been around since the 70s. Their site says that they are in 48 states and six countries.

I've thought of them as being ubiquitous for years and years now.

The pizza arcade in "Toy Story" is based on Chuck E. Cheese's.

Funny story -- they tried in the 80s to become a teen hangout as well as a kid's place. They would have night time events for teens --

including dance contests. My friend Mark and I won a dance contest their by having a two-man slam dance.
