Just read that Charter is going to start capping internet usage at 100GB. Check out other options in my area (DSL, Wireless, etc.)
latest #20
going forward, this is baaaaaaaaad.
We have a microwave wireless service that covers the area. They offer 5Mb/512kb. I might give them a call
I used they at my former employer. Pretty good latency too
AT&T has fiber to the curb here, I'm looking their way. If I switch it's a pretty sure thing they'll cap at 50...
Fios is still a couple of miles away...
I was told by a local AT&T tech that U-verse should be here by the summer. But don't they also cap?
probably, I'm trying to find out... They **start** their internet at 1.5MB so I'm not to excited so far.
Yeah, I see I can get 3mb/512kb here.
I've got 6mb/512kb right now, was going to move up...
I'm at 10mb/512kb with Charter right now. I've been happy with them for years. This is a real bummer
expect to see more caps.. Comcast is 250gb..
btw.. the caps are up/down combined!!
thats not going to seem like much once everyone is watching more IPTV!!
wow, up/down combined! Cripes...
ok forgive me for sounding like a total idiot here..but what are you all talking about? Charter capping internet use?
DarkandCloundy it means they put a limit on the amount of data you are allowed to go through per month.
a friend of mine is trying to help me make sense of this and honestly, I just dont understand why they are doing this
