snoring in the couch, a half-smoked cigarette in the tip of his fingers and some old rock playing on the radio.
lets herself in, 'tsk'ing at the cigarette and plucking it from his fingers to put it out.
immediately grabs her wrist, groaning under his breath as he opens one eye, keeping her wrist in a tight grip. "Who...?"
doesn't understand why he loves the cigarettes so much. She leans down to kiss his cheek in greeting. "Your favourite niece."
just does, they're a charming company no lover can replace. "Trini..." smiles, letting go of her and sitting up straight. "When did my_
brother teach you to sneak into my house?" groans, raising one eyebrow at her and the opened window.
grins. "When he forced my hand." She sits down beside him, feeling a bit bad that she woke him. "How are you?"
chuckles: as expected from Antonio... "Ah, fine, just enjoying an afternoon nap." smiles, fixing his ponytail. "So, what brought you here?"
shrugs. "Missed you. I tried to visit last week or so and took a wrong flight. I ended up in Turkey." Which turned out to be amazing. _
"I wanted to tell you I made up with Papa."
frowns. "That's... great news, but haven't I told you to stay away from the Turk? He's not to be trusted." hisses, his lips drawing into_
he's ridiculous. "I didn't do it on purpose. But I met him and he's really cool. We're friends."
shakes his head. "Don't say I didn't warn you when he starts treating you as his next pet. The man's cruel, you should know." sighs. "But.._
So, how did things go with my brother?"
take his warning into account, but she doesn't think it'll be a problem. "Uhm...okay. I mean, I could have made it harder for him. I could_
_have yelled at him for everything and gotten it out of my system...but in the end I guess I just asked if he regretted what he did, and he_
_said yes. So I forgave him...and then he hugged me forever" She rolled her eyes a little at that.
laughs. "Typical Toninho... I told him about me and England too -- Well, more like Arthur told him." shrugs, fetching himself another_
cigarette. "Things went fine... No bloodshed."
actually surprised at that "Really?"
nods. "Sim, pois... Antonio just asked me why I hadn't told him sooner, then we shopped. Sounded like he didn't care much, which is_
quite great." smiles, pocketing the cigarette back.
that sounds like a girls day out. "...Do you know if he hit his head or suffered some traumatic shock or something?"
needed to buy food. It isn't girly when it's about food. "Yes, yes yes, many of the hits to the head being my own fault. He asked me for a_
cigarette tho', which was strange... Last time I saw him smoking was..." narrows his eyes and stops himself. "Nevermind."
frowns a little at that. "When?" She knows he changed drastically after his armada went down...
mutters 'Franco' and leaves the subject at that, standing up to turn off the radio. "So... There's cake, do you want?"
frowns even more "Si..." Huh..maybe she'd have to pay more family members a visit.
grins, as if nothing had happened and happily goes to cut her some cake. "So, no more fights between you two?"
glances up at him. "Nothing serious. I can still see a little Conquistador in him when he yells at me for rolling my eyes at him. _
_Father-Daughter things I guess."
grins. "Happens to all of us..." he hands her a slice of cake with a fork, grabbing one for himself next. "Trinidad... when a person asks_
you why two are dating, should thart be... taken as anything considerable?" looks away, shrugging.
...pauses. "Well...I mean. If Ma doesn't know why he's going out with you. Then doesn't that mean his interest is..lacking?" Is that what he
just stares at her and shrugs. "Thought so, then he got angry... Then I kindly asked him to come back, which he did, and said he was..._
doubting himself." licks his lips, minding his words and speaking carefully, nomming on the cake.
pauses in thought. "Maybe...he's going through something. I mean, you guys were together before, right? You get along well enough too, don't
_you? So maybe he's taking out his stress over something else on you, because...you won't just leave him."
nods. "Makes sense. I think it's about Ireland... He doesn't say much, but the Irish is, say, jealous." shrugs, sitting back on the couch.
that's it. "Probably. Don't let him chase you off then, he probably doesn't mean it. I don't know what Uncle Ireland's deal is."
shrugs. "Do I look like a fortune-teller? Mind reader? Exactly." smiles, shrugging as he keeps eating.
noms at her cake a little, nudging him lightly. "I'm sure it'll be fine. Don't worry so much, okay?"
smiles. "Sim, sim, pá." chuckles, rolling his eyes.
worries about her family's worries. "Eat more cake, it'll make you feel better." She takes a bite herself.
perfectly fine! He just keeps eating the cake, laughing a bit. "So, besides that, are you fine?"
laughs a little tiredly. "Yea. Work and stuff, not to mention Carnival is coming up, which happens to be draining me. But I'm going on_
_a roadtrip with Alfred, Matt, and Turkey. So that'll be a nice break."
raises one eyebrow. "That so?" smiles and pats her head. "Careful on your trip, don't take from strangers, no without condoms, no sharing_
sleeping tents, and sleep early." hisses, oh, so motherly.
laughs a little at that. "You'd think I was still a colony. I don't think I'll need condoms, Uncle. I'm going for the fun of it and to_
_explore." She couldn't promise the other things though. What if it got cold? She hardly saw the harm in cuddling with siblings at night.
narrows his eyes. "But you are a kid, look at you!" will never see her as maybe more than that, in a good way. "Okay, I know you can_
handle yourself but... be safe." smiles, leaning over to kiss her forehead.
grins, kissing his cheek. "I will be. It can't be worse than my own home, you know." She wasn't a kid. She was over 7000 years old v.v She_
_was just colonized much much later than everyone else was.
she's acute innocent kid and period. Oh, blind uncles... "True. How're things there, anyway?" hums.
smiles a little "Well...better I guess. At this time of year, everybody's too excited for Carnival coming up to do much nonsense."
nods. "I guess...Brazil's also too hyped up about it to think about anything else." smiles.
laughs softly "Well it's a big event. Lots of planning.."
shrugs. "I guess... Carnaval was never my strong point anyway." hums, going to the kitchen to grab more cake.
...is in shock. "Really?" She munches on her cake, figuring it was everyone's thing.
laughs. "Trini, please... I can't dance and well, yes, I celebrate, but it's never nothing.. much." can get drunk, tho', but you don't need_
a special holiday for that.
never knew that. "Well dancing isn't so much of an issue. Most of it without getting fancy is just grinding on people. What do you even do?"
gulps awkwardly at the 'grinding' part. "None of that, not even if I lost a bet." groans, glad his curls can hide his red cheeks.
laughs, never having seen him embarrassed like this. "It's all in fun. Come on, a nation like you has done more than that, so why be _
pauses. "True, I have done a lot more than simple grinding but... Ah, fine, what do you want?" pouts, eating his cake with a pout.
it's times like these when she can see the clear family resemblance between him and her Papa. All that pouting... "Nothing~ Just wondering_
_why you get so flustered about it."
shrugs. "Well... Just haven't done that in a while." looks up, still eating his cake. "Not used to talking about that to you, either."_
frowns. God, the girl sounds exactly like India.
shrugs a little. "Oh well. No offense but I can't see you get much practise with any kind of dancing now. Ma does what, the waltz? That _
_jump all over the place, back during his punk phase with his rock and stuff."
laughs. "Arthur still stirrs up a bit at the minimal contacts, we haven't danced yet but... yes, he's good at waltzing." nods again.
can imagine. "I should go harass him again. Did I tell you I went to go see him? I think he was drunk though. He seemed...off."
raises one eyebrow. "No, you didn't. Him? Drunk?" laughs, so there was more to England that he didn't know... Charming.
nods. "Yup. This was before you told Papa about you two, cause he was mentioning it to me. But I'm pretty sure he was drunk."
laughd a bit more, going back to eating his cake. "I see... Well, it has been awhile, then!" shakes his head, humming a bit._
"Oh, Inglaterra, you stupid fool..."
so. "Can I have more cake too?"
still laughing loudly, bending slightly and covering his mouth. He barely nods, handing her the knife.
takes the knife with a 'Gracias~' and cutting herself another piece, happy that she could apparently make him so happy with that news.
pauses, shaking his head as he cuts himself more cake. "Ah, sorry..." chuckles, shaking his head.
takes a bite. Mmm, it was so good. "Don't be. Ma's....self-explanatory. He's an interesting drunk though. Half-decent at hiding it."
nods. "Ah, great. I'm a shameful drunk..." shakes his head, nibbling a bit on the cake. "Do you like the cake, by the way? Carrot, with_
chocolate topping." smiles;
stores away that little piece of information. "Of course, it's delicious~!"
nods. "The recipee is easy to do, really easy, unless you're England..." teases, smiling a bit. "Not even I can stand his food, poor man..."
laughs at that, covering her mouth. "It's really horrible, isn't it? Thankfully I didn't get a whole lot of my cooking from him."
nods. "I tried once or twice, his eggs and bacon aren't bad, but... Oh, god, don't tell him I said so, I do enjoy dating him!"
still trying to hold back her laughter. "Oh, I won't. I used try and feed his food to the dogs, but even they wouldn't eat it."
laughs a bit more, but feels bad for the Brit and stops.
doesn't. She was allowed to laugh at her..parents.
the world and their families were one confusing big mess. "At least he wasn't like Antonio, who shoved tomatoes on his nose." snorts.
pauses. "Wait...he shoved tomatoes on his nose?"
nods, laughing after. "It was a paint to wash it..."
laughs at that. "You probably have all the best stories about them."
shrugs. "I have great blackmail material to sell..." grins.
grins at that. "Mind giving your niece a discount?"
shakes his head. "Not selling to you and period."
that's just unfair. "Why not?"
shrugs. "You'd bring too much trouble, and I was joking... Sapin also has a list of shady facts about me to blackmail back."
if she should be offended that she clearly wasn't trusted with blackmail. "Fair enough, I guess."
laughs. "Also, I'll end up saying them bit by bit for free..." shrugs, setting the empty plate aside.
look forward to that then "Oh, good." She munches on the last piece of cake.
moves to wash the dishes, shrugging. "Yeah..." hums, covering the cake with a faint tissue so flies and ants won't come.
places her plate in the sink as well "You know...I was more curious about stories from when you guys were kids and stuff, rather than
shrugs. "I can't remember many... I need to sit down with Toninho one of these days, then we should talk and remember..." smiles.
would like to be there just to listen "You should."
nods, leaning against the counter and crossing his arms. "Aye, it'd be an amusing day."
so. "When was the last time you talked to him?"
shrugs. "I told you already, when we went buying food." blinks, raising one eyebrow at her.
-"I know that, but how long ago was that?"
clicks his tongue. "A while, and I haven't seen him since then..."
hums. "I think you guys should catch up again soon. It's even better that he's not back about you and Ma."
grins, nodding repeatedly. "We will, we will!"
nods simply, looking down at his feet for lack of anything better to do.
blinks, raising one eyebrow and looking down at her.
tilts her head "Are you okay?"
nods. "Yes, why? Just.. quiet."
shrugs. "Just making sure. What were you doing before I came to visit?"
scratches his neck, looking up to the ceiling. "Snoring on the couch and listening to.. what was it? Chili Peppers or something..."
meant before that. He was so silly. "Ah, hadn't figured when I found you sleeping" She teases lightly.
shrugs. "I know. Before that.. paying bills, writting paperwork for my stupid ministers... same old stuff." frowns. Boring.
work is laaaaame. "When was the last time you took a vacation?"
pauses, thinking. "Ahm... two years ago?"
...wonders how he's still alive? "You need another one."
pouts. He was short on money... "Where to?"
shrugs. "I can hook you up at one of my resorts if you want."
blinks. "Trini, I'm short on money... and I can't leave for too long."
..."Why would I make you pay? You're family, of course everything will be free." Ridiculous. That's what he was.
blushes. "I'll... pack my stuff then. But you'll have to guide me around the island, I can't remember much from the last time I was there."
excited~ "Okay, not a problem. We can even go see my sister." Well, they probably won't see her.. "Well, her beaches. "
smiles. "Ah, great, I can't wait!" beams. "Just tell me when I can go..."
shrugs. "Right now if you want. Or later so you can fix what you need to with your boss."
shrugs. "They won't miss me for a week or so. Hold on, I'll pack my things." taps her shoulder, walking off to his bedroom.
pulls out her cellphone, making a few calls and arranging a few things for him.
packing his stuff, just some beachwear and loose clothes, nothing fancy. He comes back to the hall a while later, ready to depart, with_
hangs up the phone when she spots him. "Great. So we'll get the first flight ever." Yes, normally in her home family stayed with each other_
_but he needed a good relaxing vacation, so she had set him up in one of the hotels.
wouldn't mind staying with her either, but a resort is perfect. "Off we go?" hums.
nods, leading him out of his house, and wondering how long it would take to flag a taxi,
walks with her, locking up his house and flagging a cab quite quickly, amking it drive them both to the airport.
[[so... new plurk, trini?]]
[[aaah, why meee! okay...]]
