our administrators are doing five minute walkthroughs in every classroom once a week. Is this happening anywhere else.

I actually think it is a pretty good thing.
My principal is in everyone's room almost every day, but she is also required to record data on regular basis. We can tell the difference
because then she's carrying an iPad. We're used to it and it doesn't feel evaluative because she is always in classrooms. She also subs if
there is no substitute available. She is a very hands on principal.
It sounds like the same system we use, but only once a week. Our district is on improvement because of one subgroup in one building.
Yep - had training and little implementation. None too excited about it.
