had debated visiting Norway, but hearing the music nearly a block away made him have second thoughts.
would be amused to know he was scared away by simply music.
wasn't scared, he'd simply forgotten to bring earplugs and had no interest in losing his hearing from listening to music too loudly.
obviously wasn't losing his own hearing, so he saw no danger. He taps his foot lighty on the opposite armrest to the rapid beat.
knocked on the door politely, poorly concealing his distaste for the loud music. He didn't mind the genre, but the volume seemed_
thought black metal should always be played loud. He couldn't hear the others knocks at all through the music.
assumed as much and let himself in. He slipped off his shoes and hung his jacket and scarf up, but kept on his earmuffs.
kept tapping his foot on the couch, eyes closed still.
folded his arms over his chest like a disproving parent, watching from the doorway.
stretched a bit, sighing comfortably, and turned to lie on his side.
went to turn the music down.
frowns... He huffed and sat up, opening his eyes. "Dan, when did y'get so qui-" He blinked when he saw who it was. "Ah.."
felt his lips press firmly in to a scowl as he stepped away from the stereo, his arms returning to their position over his chest.
".. Hei, Island." He sat and just looked at him for a few moments. "Ah, just sit, I'll get coke." He got up and went to the kitchen.
blinked. He hadn't expected that warm of a welcome. He sat down cautiously, mentally preparing himself for bad news of some kind. If he_
returned with a tasty food of some kind in addition to the coke, he'd know something was wrong.
came back soon after, handing him the bottle. He glanced back at the stereo, itching to turn the volume up again.
took the bottle with quiet thanks and opened it to take a sip.
hesitated just for a moment before he went over and skipped to the next song, rolling the volume up high.
stared at him incredulously. That couldn't possibly be necessary.
stands in front of the stereo, seemingly satisfied as he lightly drums the beat on a speaker.
decided that now would be a good time to leave. He stood up and made his way back towards the door. If Nore wanted to lose his hearing,_
that was his own problem.
watched him go before realising that he was leaving. He sighed quietly, listening for a moment longer before he switched the stereo off_
interely. He followed him silently, crossing his arms and meant in the wall. "Why the sour face?"
scowled as he fixed his scarf around his neck. "I don't have a sour face."

that's a matter of opinion, but keeps silent. "'n still y'leave so soon?"
shrugged. He didn't want to stay if Nor was going to insult his expressions.

he's being childish. He looks at him with a slight frown. "I'm guessin' there was a reason for y'to come in the first place."
not being childish! No one liked being insulted! He shrugged. "I didn't realize I needed a reason to visit."
had not meant it as an insult. It was simply a figure of speech. "Nei.." He taps his fingers on his arm, thinking. "Do y'want to stay for_
had a hard time saying no to food. "... What are you making?" Not that it mattered; he'd already made his mind up that he'd stay.
shrugs, pushing himself off of the wall. "Lapskaus, maybe. I've got ingredients for other things too."
started loosening his scarf again. "I haven't had that in a while..."
nods a little. "Lapskaus it is." He makes his way into kitchen after.
slid his shoes back off and followed after him.
crouched down and pulled out a pot from one of his cupboards, one that would fit a meal for two.
sat down at the table and watched him. He debated offering to help, but figured the other would be fine without him.
didn't expect him to help, anyway. He started taking out the ingredients, not bothered by being watched.
helped himself to something to drink.
goes to wash his hands before starting to cut the vegetables. He let his brother do what he wished for now, occupying himself with the meal.
tapped the rim of his glass with boredom as he looked around the kitchen.

he would find it easier to entertain himself outside the kitchen for the time it takes to make the dinner.
wouldn't be able to bother Norway if he weren't in the kitchen...
hums softly as he continued on with his cooking.
couldn't think of anything to bother the Norwegian with and pulled out his phone to play a game as he waited.
glanced over his shoulder at the other while he stirred the pot. He turns back to his cooking after a moment, uninterested.
frowned as he focused intently on the game.
turned off the stove after a while and took off the lid to cool. He chuckled quietly when he looked over at the Icelander.
losing horribly. He hated Angry Birds.
barely knew of the game at all. He was amused though by just watching him play it.
surprisingly horrible at it for how often he played...
just shakes his head and turns back to the pot, taking out two plates from the cupboard above. "Help me set the table, will you."
scoffed, tossing his phone on to the table before standing up to help. "Whatever. Where's your silverware?"
"In the top drawers." He ladled portions of the lapskaus onto each plate before going to place them on the table.
grumbled under his breath but got the silverware obediently, placing them neatly on the table besides their dishes.
nods approvingly, finding glasses. "Takk.. Coke or water?" He was aware of the yet-to-be-emptied bottle of soda left in the living-room.
shrugged. "Do you have any milk?"
frowns. Weird choice to lapskaus. He shrugs, "Ja, in the fridge." He fills his own glass with water from the tap and goes to sit at the_
got a glass of milk, grumbling to himself over how poor of a host Norway was for not getting the milk himself.
doesn't think he needs to be much of a host around family, and he'd already made the dinner by himself. He did wait for the other to start_
sat down and took a sip of his milk before sniffing the food. "Thanks."
nods faintly, hands folded in his lap. "You're welcome."
ate quietly, appreciating the dish, though it was a bit more flavorful than he as accustomed to. Though that may be because he'd been_
eating little more than potatoes, fish, and frozen pizzas at home.
doesn't see much wrong with that habit. He picks up his fork and starts eating too.
usually too lazy to make his own food, so he appreciated it when other people cooked for him. He glanced at Norway as he took a drink.
didn't mind making food for other people occasionally. He kept his eyes on his plate as he ate, absently tapping his foot on the floor.
diverted his gaze to his food again. It was nice to have Lukas around again, even if he'd not admit it.
always enjoyed his brothers company, though he didn't think he needed to say it. He drinks of his water after having finished his meal.
might have missed his brother... Though he was happy that they could still spend time together like this. He finished eating and looked back
hums as he leans slightly back in his chair, tapping the edge of the table. "Like it?"
shrugged. "It's not horrible."
smiles faintly, knowing that was as much of a compliment as you could get from Iceland.
had liked it. "... Thanks."
smiles more, though of course not something the next person would call a smile. "Vær så god." He gets up again and starts carrying things_
almost smiled when he saw the 'smile' on Norway's face. He finished his glass of milk and carried his dishes to the sink.
simply glad to see him more often, so his blank expression was easier to falter than normally. He took the others dishes and began_
would let him do the dishes and went to make himself comfortable in the living room.
wipes his hands on a towel once he was done cleaning the dishes. He put the left-overs in the fridge before joining the other.
playing with his stereo, flipping through the local radio stations.
's radio hosts normally had long breaks where they joked around, or played old American, British or Swedish classics. He went to sit on the_
couch as he waited for Iceland to choose one.
got tired of searching and stopped on a random channel before flopping on the couch.
hums, idly listening to the hosts talk about some celebrity 'scandal'.
paid the show little attention, and looked around the room.
's living-room consisted of a fireplace, a bookshelf with various objects, a couch, TV and a stereo. Other than that were some_
illustrations of folklore and known places in his country.
found everything to be comfortingly familiar.
rarely changed much in his house unless it was technology-related. He still has the stories he'd read for the other such a long time ago_
somewhere around here. He sighs absently and rests his chin in his palm, leaning on the armrest.
glances at him, watching silently.
looks over to him, partly listening to Man Must Dance coming from his speakers. "Hm?"
shook his head and went back to looking around the room.
taps his fingers on the couch to the beat, lost in thoughts.
unconsciously began tapping his foot in time with the music as he looked at pictures on the walls.
didn't have any personal photos for all to see on display. There were mostly paintings of fjords and Norse myths.
preferred the paintings to embarrassing displays of sentimental emotion.
thought the same about the subjects. He stares absently at nothing in particular.
sighed quietly and took his phone back out to check his email.
looks over at him after a little while. "Want to do somethin'?"
glanced up with a shrug. "Sure."
didn't even try to think about it. "No. You?"
shakes his head and leans back on the couch. "Hm, let's make it easier. Inside or outside?"
glanced out the window. "Either."
sighs. "You're a great help."
shakes his head lightly and gets up. "A real effort too. What about a walk?"
shrugged and stood up. "Alright."
nods and went over to turn off the radio before heading to the entrance of his house.
went to go slip in to his shoes and put his jacket back on.
got dressed appropriately and lead the way out into the early darkness.
found the chilly air refreshing. He pulled his scarf tightly around his neck as he walked out.
put his hands in his pockets as he started walking.
followed besides him, looking around idly as they walked.
didn't have a particular place in mind, so he lead them randomly around the neighbourhood for now, content with enjoying the fresh air.
