has found an empty cabin and snuck inside in fox form, knocking things over and searching to see if there was anything good, before curling
up on the pillow of the bed. He assumed from the temperature that the place wasn't being lived in.
quirks a brow at the open door before stepping in, unafraid and noticing the disarray with a frown. His eyes fall on the fox. "Find what
lifts his head when he hears a voice disturb him from slumber, tilting his head at him. "Yes, a new home."
laughs. "And what makes you think I'll be so kind and let you live here?"
smiles as much as a fox can, tilting his head. "What makes you think I will let you live here?" He knew this wasn't a human, but
he couldn't quite sense how powerful he really was.
smirks. "Do you really want to go there?" He sets down the firewood before leaning against the opposite wall. "I'd be more weary if I were
sits up a little, watching him a moment before changing into a human form in a flurry of smoke. "Do I offend you so much?" he smiles, fox
ears and five tails visible. "I found this house, and now it is mine."
notes this but isn't fazed at all. He's seen stranger things in his lifetime. "No, but I also think it's a mistake to try and take my house
from me considering you have no idea who I am, what I am and what I could do to you." He points out nonchalantly.
hums softly. "I am not so weak in magic that I can't defend myself." He fixes his robes though, standing to step over to him. "If
you like though, I am sure we could work out a deal."
isn't one for company but raises a brow curiously. "Is that so? And what kind of deal did you have in mind?"
"I can offer you my body in exchange," he offers rather bluntly. He didn't plan to tell him that he fed off the energy of sex, of course.
eyes him suspiciously. That was rather blunt considering he was used to seduction and persuasion. "Deal."
smiles as he sees the look he gives. He preferred seduction when he was pretending to be someone else. As himself, he was honest. He nods
at that, extending a hand with a sly smile to shake on it.
glances at the hand and shakes it. "I get the outside side."
hums softly. "If you must." He could always just revert back to his fox form and curl up at the foot of the bed too.
nods. "I must." He says before getting back to lighting a fire with the firewood.
smiles, watching him. Being a fox could be difficult when one started to appreciate more human luxuries. He was a little curious to
know what this man was, though. It seemed to be something foreign to him.
can sense his curiosity. "If you have a question just ask." He says simply as he manages to get the fire started.
hums softly, sitting back down on the bed. "I have not encountered an energy like yours before, and am merely curious..."
gets up and dusts his hands. "That's probably because we don't venture to these areas."
flicks his tails back and forth a little, still observing. "What are you, then?"
's ears perk up a little at this, though his expression barely changes. "A jinn?" He had heard a little about them before... and now
he was glad to have reached an agreement between them.
can tell that the other was still confused. "Have you heard of Genies?"
nods. "I admittedly do not know much about them. Will you tell me?" he asks. Being who he was, knowledge is highly sought.
takes a seat on one of the chairs opposite the bed. "God created three beings." He begins. "The humans who were made of clay, the angels who
were made of light and Jinn who were made of fire."
crosses his legs, tails flicking gently as he listened. Other cultures fascinated him so in their descriptions of the beginning. He nods,
though wondering where he fit in that explanation.
wouldn't know where the fox demon fit. "According to the Qur'an when God asked everyone to prostrate before Adam, we jinn (Satan) were the
only ones not to do so and were condemned to hell." He goes on.
(( I'm adjusting it a little bit but this is mostly how it goes. xD ))
nods, tilting his head. "So you are the rebels against order, then."
shrugs, shaking his head from one side to the other. "The lost looking for redemption."
hums softly. "So you are looking for redemption here in this lonely forest?"
doesn't answer immediately. "I only go into populated areas when I really need to." He explains almost pointlessly.
furrows his brow slightly at the lack of answer. "I see..." he wonders what the full truth there was.
probably wouldn't give him a straight answer any time soon. "Can I assume you'd be considered a demon?"
blinks at this, shaking his head. "I am a kitsune."
nods a bit, unfamiliar with that term. "I see."
notices the lack of understanding on his face, taking a moment to think of how to explain such in this language. "I.. suppose the best
way to explain, is that my ancestors were foxes. But they became better."
seems to understand. "Lucky you."
smiles, glad he did. "Yes. That was a very long time ago, however."
knows what a very long time ago is. "How old are you exactly?"
hums, having to consider the question a moment to figure out his exact age. "457 years and one month, I believe."
"Still young if you can remember your age." He says with a hint of amusement.
smiles. "Perhaps in comparison to others. It is not hard to remember your birth year when you look forward to every hundred year, however."
shrugs. "I'm sure I've passed the thousand year mark a few times."
nods. "That is interesting then. You have seen a lot of the world then?"
nods. "Too much of it to be honest."
smiles. He wondered if he could get this man to share stories. Being a creature of knowledge, he never passed up and opportunity to learn.
was not that secretive, all the other had to do was ask.
decides to try. "Would you tell me of the things you've seen?" he asks, tilting his head to the side.
taps his cheek pensively. "I"ve seen a lot...countless wars, betrayal, love, pain, destruction, construction..."
smiles. "I wouldn't mind hearing as many tales as you would like to tell."
nods as he takes a few minutes to think of one. "Hundreds and hundreds a year ago there was this sultan who, during his childhood, gave off
the impression that he was not going to amount to anything. He was viewed as a disgrace by many of the workers in the palace." He starts.
smiles, shifting to settle onto the bed comfortably, leaving enough room for Sadik to sit down. He was listening intently already.
takes a seat. "Many years later, his eldest brother died, the one who was destined to take the throne and although the Sultan was still
alive his days were limited."
nods. "He was and very old too." He answers before going on. "So, when the Sultan eventually died it was the unwanted son that took over
becoming the next Sultan. According to many of the former viziers, he had this unrealistic goal of conquering the fortified city that
belonged to another empire, a dying empire. However, they had tried on many occasions to take it for themselves without success and so they
didn't believe that their new Sultan would be able to manage this impossible feat."
listens, flicking his tails lazily back and forth. "If it was a dying empire, shouldn't it be easier to overcome?"
smiles lightly. "Usually, but this place was heavily fortified and the emperor of this city had hired quite a few mercenaries to keep it
hums softly. "So what was hiding inside of it, then?"
"Glory, riches and the bridge between two continents. "
nods. "Ah, I see. Sorry, please continue."
"Anyway, this did not stop this newly appointed Sultan. It was his dream and regardless of his viziers protestation he went forth, putting
together an army, accumulating weaponry and planning out battle strategies."
nods, trying to be quiet now.
