the young woman drowning in his river.
hums as he heads towards the river again, carrying a heavy bag with him. He was looking for the water-spirit-violin-guy~
sat on a rock out in the rather wide river, smirking as the womans terrified expression finally loosened, along with the rest of her_
previously struggling muscles.
blinks and looked into the water, noticing what was going on... He just quietly made his way to the rivers edge, watching more.
doesn't notice him as he's focused on his victim soon starting to drift with the current far down on the bottom, tail swaying behind him.
smirks a bit. "What did she do to ye?"
looks up, frowning slightly when he sees him. This wasn't really something others were supposed to see. He shrugs, "Nothin'."
nods a bit as he watched her fade away with the stream. "So why'd ye do it?"
taps his fingers on his violin. "Who said I did anythin,."
chuckles and shrugs as he sat by the river. "Normally if someone saw a chick drownin' they'd save her... Ye just watched with amusement."
hums as he thought about that. "Well, y'weren't much better, so I don't know where y'get that standard from."
shrugs. "It was too late. But the time I got over here she was long gone. Besides, I have a bag with me."
had seen people jump after the victims many times to try and save them. All in vain, of course. He coughed lightly into his hand_
before sliding off the rock and into the water, seemingly not disturbed by the strong current as he made his way over. He crossed his arms_
on the riverbank and looked up at him from where he stood in the above waist-deep water. "'n what's so special 'bout this bag?"
tilts his head and smiles. "Food." He sat down beside the river and put it in his lap.
rested his chin on his arms as he watched him.
smiles. "Want some food, kitty boy?"
narrows his eyes slightly. "What happen'd to mister ?"
shrugs a bit. "I thought kitty boy was cuter... since ye're a cute kitty."
"'m not a cat now." He pointed out.
nods. "True. So what should I call ye?"
... "Someone called me Lukas once, so y'can use that."
smiles. "Lukas." He nods. "Sounds good, Lukas~"
just shrugs and taps arms with his fingers.
hums and puts his hand in the bag. "Want food thn, Lukas~?"
looks dully at him. "What is it?"
pulled out some raw meat. "Food~"
raised his head from his arms at that.
smiles and held it out. "Want me to throw it to ye?"
raises an eyebrow faintly and just held his hand out. "If you keep treatin' me like a pet you'll go the same way as that woman."
shakes his head. "This is more so of... a thanks. In a way." He pulled some meat for himself after.
nibbled on the piece he'd gotten. "For what?"
shrugs a little. "... For followin' me..." He knew it sounded silly. But no one ever had before.
moves his gaze to just look straight ahead. "That reason seems weird to me."
shrugs again as he ate. "S'the most someone's done for me."
... just fell silent as he ate, thinking it would be best to not mention he had mostly followed him out of own curiosity and boredom.
figured that was the case, but he was in denial.
hums faintly, enjoying the raw meat. It had been long since a human had given him food now.
thought he deserved it. He finished his meat after, happily licking his lips.
absently picked on the last bit of torn meat while he pondered.
wondered what he was pondering about.
hums idly. ".. What d'you want from me?"
flicks his tail in the water as he finished eating. "Weird."
raised his brow. "Why is that weird?"
rested his head on his arms again. "'Cause humans normally just offer me things when they want to learn from me." He coughed slightly.
blinks a little. "What can th-... we, learn from ye?"
hums. "Musicians.." He nodded towards the violin left on the rock in the river - it was tall enough so that the water didn't hit the_
smiles and nods. "Ah. That's awesome. But ye don't teach just anyone, ja?"
tapped the ground once with his finger. "Musicians, if I care to. 'n if they bring me what I want in return first." He paused._
"That's the reason humans've given me things in the past.. Unlike you."
chuckles. "While, like I said, this was a thanks."
nods lightly and shifts his gaze. Still weird to him.
didn't think there was anything weird about it
guesses not, among humans. He picks idly at some straws of grass.
hummed more. "Ye still hungry?"
just laid his hand out towards him with an open palm as an answer.
smiles and pulled out another chunk of meat for him.
took it and tore off a strip of it to eat on.
watched him a bit before watching the river flow.
wasn't even fazed by the rapid current that had taken the woman's life not long before. He ate quietly, enjoying it in silence.
thought it was pretty interesting that the other could act so calmly in that river. It looked like it was pretty rough.
wasn't affected by water like normal beings. A perk of being a spirit.
kept watching him. He was fascinated by him.
ate the last of the meat, absently weaving his tail through the water.
thought he was quite attractive... He was interested in him.
looks up at him with his usual empty expression. "..Thank you for the food, human."
smiles and nods. "Velkommen, Lukas~"
nods faintly and splays his fingers out on the grass.
watched him before leaning closer, more so until he was laying on his stomach. Just a few inches away from the other.
blinks over at him, raising an eyebrow faintly.
smiles and tilts his head at the other.
stares at him for a little while before returning his focus to the grass, attempting to ignore the proximity to the man.
leaned forward and poked the others curl. "This is cute~"
's eye twitched and he took a step back in the water, keeping his expression unreadable despite the faint blush crossing his_
cheeks. "...'s your opinion."
blinks and looks at him. He shifted forward more and pulled on it.
frowns and slaps his hand away as the blush increases. "W-Why're y'doin' that?"
smiles. "Because it's fun~!" He pulled on it some more, leaning closer.
grumbles angrily and grips his offending hand, keeping it firmly at arms reach. "Stop it."
"'cause I say so. 's all the reason y'should need." He glares and keeps the hand away.
reached over with his other hand.
pushes it away, wondering what he did not understand by 'stop'.
chuckles and stops for a moment. "Why're ye blushin'?"
watches him carefully, keeping the hands off of his hair. "... 's what happens when you anger people."
rolls his eyes. "I've angered lots of people, but none ever blushed like that."
lets go of his hand, keeping a wary eye on him. "Everyone's not alike."
nods and rolled onto his back to watch the other upside down.
looked at him still, crossing his arms over his chest as he continued standing a short distance from the riverbank.
smiles. "So. How was the meat?"
waits a bit before he answers. "..Good. 's better salted."
smiles more. "I know that for next time then~"
frowns slightly. "Y'plan on comin' here more?" That was unusual to say the least, not that it happened before.
smiles and nods. "Ja, why not? Ye're always here."
idly tucks a lock of hair behind his ear as he just shrugs.
smiles and lightly put his hands in the water.
watches him with dull eyes, lowering himself slightly more down in the water.
put his hands in deeper. He liked how cool the water was.
thought the temperature was fine.
thought it was cool and nice... He hadn't known why but he had been more warm than normal lately. He rolled up his sleeves and put more of
took a few, small steps backwards until he found a rock on the bottom with his feet. He crouched down on it, keeping his head and_
shoulders over the surface as he watched him.
kept leaning more and more into the water, then splashed his face with the coolness of it.
observed him curiously. "You're goin' to fall if y'lean much further, y'know." He muttered.
shrugs. "That's okay..." He wasn't starting to think straight anyways.
didn't think the other had a normal line of thought ever since he tried to play with the monster. "What if y'drown."
smiled faintly as he leaned more in. "I won't... only stupid people drown..."
Håkon
thinks 13 years ago
that if the man's so smart he's probably found out that rivers have several other ways of harming than merely drowning. "If y'say so."
nodded some more... before slipping into the water.
stumbled backwards off of his rock at the splash the other made and stared.
came up to the surface soon after and clung onto the shore, coughing a bit.
kept his distance, looking at him warily. He might have been a bit impressed he even managed to beat the strong current most humans went _
cursed quietly as he dragged himself onto shore. He flopped down afterwards, spreading his arms out and keeping his legs in the water.
hums as he moved a bit closer. "Y'brought that on yourself."
smiles a bit as he closed his eyes. "S'okay. I felt good..." He at least wasn't as warm anymore.
shakes his head, a little amused. "Silly human."
hums and nods a bit as he almost started falling asleep.
tilts his head as he watches him, fascinated like he always was by human behaviour, unaware of the others fading consciousness.
just started to sleep quietly. He didn't know why he felt so exhausted lately. But the water had helped bring it on quicker.
blinks when he realises the man was sleeping... This one was a strange one.
couldn't help it. He just slept peacefully, though he was starting to heat up again.
moved silently around in the strong stream after having watched him for a little while. He reached up and retrieved his violin from the_
rock before wandering back to the riverbank, making sure to keep the instrument above the surface.
kept asleep, his breathing light and shallow. He was starting to get pale though.
glanced over at him once, laying his violin on land before hoisting himself up. He idly brushed his knees off_
and went to put on his clothes hidden in a tree trunk, stashing the violin away after.
started to twitch a bit in his fingers, before turning his head from side to side.
snuck his tail out from his pants as he walked over to the oddly moving man. He tilted his head lightly to the side as he_
looked down at him expressionlessly.
twitched more and continued to move his head from side to side. He was starting to sweat a bit, and mumble quietly.
frowned slightly and eventually knelt down beside him, looking him over. He wondered if it was his feet in the water troubling him.
suddenly shot up, hitting his head against the others and hissing before putting his hand over the area he hit.
flinches visibly and falls back on his hands, grumbling as he rubs his forehead.
frowns. "Ah.. ow... Why were ye so close?"
scowls faintly at him between his fingers. "Y'were bein' weird."
frowns more as he rubbed his forehead and shifted to crawl to the water to wash his face. "Weird how...?"
sits down and watches him idly. "..Distressed, I guess.. 'n you're still pale."
looked at his hands and cursed quietly before holding some water to his forehead. "Damn it..."
"Humans don't do that, normally." He informed in monotone.
froze a bit at that before shaking his head. "I've not felt completely normal since that... thing touched me."
picks absently at the grass. "Hmm... Someone told me the monster is an illness.. So that makes sense.."
frowns at that as he wet his hair again. "Do ye know how to get rid of it?"
shakes his head, ignoring the constant burning in his throat. "Y'can't, it seems.."
seemed to male more at hearing that before feeling the similar burn in his throat. "Damn it..."
shrugs and looks down at the straws of grass in his hands. "I figure keepin' away from it 's a start, if anythin'."
nods at that and bit the inside of his cheek to keep from coughing. He didn't plan on seeing the creature again.
doesn't think that's something he can decide for himself, as the thing had seemed to be following him, uninvited, but he says nothing.
closes his eyes a bit again as he started feeling tired again. He just watched the water flow in front of him.
shifts after a little while as he kept an eye on him.
's eyes started to flutter shut as he grew more pale. His head kept bobbing as he tried to fight the sleep.
makes a quiet, disapproving, sound and crept over to him. He sat down beside him and poked his shoulder lightly in a poor attempt at_
made a small sound and glanced over to him. "Hmm...?"
stared back at him. ".. Y'can't sleep out here."
frowns and rubbed his eyes. "Why not...? I's quiet."
"There's animals 'round, 'n that monster might show up, too." He explained, though he'd thought as much was obvious.
groaned quietly and slowly got up on shaky legs. "No where is safe..."
looks blankly up at him. "I've never seen him inside, so your ho
_home* should be safe enough.."
(( Darn touch keyboard. Also I might've fallen asleep, sorry))
chuckles before smiling faintly. "What home?" He said quietly as he started to walk towards the city, using trees to help him keep stable.
blinks slowly as he watches him leave, pondering his words in silence.
figured being in the city was his best bet anyways. He didn't want to run into that creature again.
