totoo naman kasi. Sobrang hassle pa ng papel! Tangina lahat ng lugar na pinaggagalawan ko (LP, Munti, Pasig) banned ang plastic nakakainis!

I dont agree with the guy from the plastic industry. Hassle nga siguro ang papel, pero in a larger perspective, mas hassle ang plastic.

not if we reduce, reuse and recycle properly.

The problem is our disposal industry. The way we clean up our waterways. Our trash segregation.
ExChump'YunOya

The plastic industry doesnt want the "reduce" part, since that would mean a decrease in the demand.

Thats the point, nobody live in that perspective because a few only understands that perspective. The stress it brings to our planet,

We could all use the recycle part, especially the plastic industry since recycling plastic is easier than making it from scratch.
Bots says

The reduce part is preferred to the total Ban. However since illegal logging is already rampant. Bans like this can make it worse.

Agree with Bots.

Also: Mere possession of plastic bags (even reused ones) in LP public markets would result to fines. What the fucking hell is that!?
Aja says

I'm fucking reusing this fucking plastic so you don't have to fucking think about the fucking problem of fucking disposing it.
Aja says

These laws and bans aren't really thought out well through.
Aja says

Also: what you buy in groceries are ALL covered in plastic anyway. You just carry them in an almost non-reusable paper bag.
Aja says

also: fast food cardboard food containers are laminated with plastic anyway. I doubt those are any easier to degrade than regular plastics.

Well, we've got to start somewhere. Its a big problem and it cant be solved all at once.
ExChump'YunOya

That law is indeed stupid. (LOL) Reusing part of the recycling process. (doh)
Bots says

And those total bans are not the 'somewhere' to start. It's the result of people who are too damned lazy to look at the bigger pic.

With todays society, its to dependent on platics. I hope people in the industry would invest organic replacements.

may biodegradable plastic naman, banned pa rin. Hindi talaga pinag-isipan 'tong mga batas na 'to.

The OXO Biodegrable Plastic (once being used by SM) doesnt degrade well according to studies.
ExChump'YunOya

It doesnt degrade in the manner that it was stated. May certain conditions parin and the promised 18monthe decomposition wasnt met.

we should just send everything to the Sun, just like what they would've done with the Gundams.
