The stupid robot brick keeps hanging.

It runs endlessly and won't even respond to me pressing the power button.

I have to take out the batteries.

Then I have to redownload the firmware - and that takes a while (several minutes).

OK I'm switching bricks. I doubt that's the problem but I'm sick of this redownloading the firmware nonsense.
