had always thought he did....
just had to reiterate it since recently he feels he might have given off the impression he didn't. But he does. A lot.
Sadik
thinks 13 years ago
a little to much to be honest....
Sadik just doesn't see them the way he does. He'd be willing to teach Sadik why he loves them so if he wants.
doesn't think he could learn.
everyone can learn to love cats, even Turkey. If he was willing to be playful. challenging stare
didn't say he didn't like cats. He liked them just not to the same extent as the Greek and he could be playful. Bl
cats should be loved. They are lovable creatures. He picks up a particularly cute fluffy kitten and puts it on Sadik's lap. The kitten_
paws around until it looks up at the Turk and mews repeatedly,
only quirks a brow when the cat is placed on his lap. He glances down at it, studying it before petting it gently on the head and scratching
behind its ear hearing it purr....okay...they were a little cute.
smiles, stepping behind Sadik so he could murmur in a reasonable tone. 'Okay, now name it. It's a newborn, so you can call it anything.' He_
to show him how attached he was to all his cats by making him love one.
wasn't really one to name things but pets it a bit longer as he ponders a good name. "Is it a he or a she?"
hums, 'Lift the tail and see.' He tended to give names too quickly to his cats, for example naming them before checking the sex. He had_
many boy cats with girl names and lots of girls with boy names.
decides to pick it up and lift it up. It was a boy. "Suleiman."
rolls his eyes, but doesn't argue. 'Alright, Suleiman it is.' He guides Sadik's hand to hover teasingly above the kitten, and it jumps up_
at it like the hand was his toy. He leaps up and hangs on for several seconds before falling back to Sadik's lap. It twists around and_
eventually climbs up and clings on again, this time licking Sadik's skin affectionately. 'See? How can you not love him when he already_
doesn't think there is anything wrong with the name he has given the cat. It's prestigious! He lets Heracles warm hand guide his over the
cat as it tries to play with him and he'd give the kitten credit, it was cute but the same type of affection the Greek feels for them would
never be something he'd understand. "It doesn't actually love me." He says simply. "It's just interested and then when it gets bored it'll
go find something else to catch its interest."
shakes his head. 'No, no not at all! Cats aren't like us, we need time to bond. They don't. They'll be loving straight away, and they_
remember you.' He rests his head on Sadik's shoulder and smiles gently at Suleiman as he gnaws absent-mindedly on the Turk's fingers.
flicks it on the nose before letting his hand fall on the kittens face and giving it a gentle but affectionate shake. "Is that so...."
makes a 'uh-huh' sound, seeing as he's unable to nod properly as he continues to lean on him. He smiles as the cat attacks Sadik's hand_
in playfulness and mews in delight. 'See, if everyone was like that then everything would be simple. Cats are quick to forget any badness_
that it has with you, and it's favourite place to be will be by your side. Plus, they are unfairly cute.'
glances over his shoulder at the Greek. "If only everyone were cats in that case. Hmmm..."
catches his look and stares back, confused. 'Hmm?' He wonders if he's meaning him. 'I-I am very capable of being like a cat in that way.'
flicks the Turk's nose. 'I am! See, I'm being very nice to you now, despite you being a bastard to me before.' He folds his arms, as if_
that was his point proven.
continues to play with the kitten before giving him a second look. "Because I did all the wrong..." He growls. "Right....it's obvious here
who's the bad guy." It was evident in his voice that he was talking about himself.
goes to say more but he wasn't sure how to respond. Finally he shakes his head and pulls at some curls by his ear. 'I'm not saying you_
were the only one, I...could have been better, I know, but that wasn't what I was getting at! I was just pointing out that with a past like_
ours, I am perfectly capable of moving past it.' He thinks that was his point, anyway, he sort of got sidetracked...
didn't believe that one bit but decided to keep that to himself. He had moved his head away from the teasing fingers before concentrating
his entire attention on that kitten. At least this kitten didn't blame him for anything well not yet anyway.
continues to brood in silence. Stupid Turkey and his stupid comments. He sits across from Sadik and after a while asks 'So are you keeping_
shrugs. "You can have him."
sighs. 'You'll have to visit him, then.'
might come by every so often to make sure Suleiman was going to be treated well. "Keep your door unlocked in that case."
rolls his eyes. 'As if my locked door ever stopped you from finding a way in.' He muses, but nods at the same time.
nods at the truth in those words. "Just returning the favour since you don't seem to know your boundaries either."
dismisses his accusation. 'You're locks are practically useless with me. It's like you want me to just wander in, it's so easy.'
's eye twitches. "That's the last thing I would ever want."
'Then secure better locks and I'll stop wandering in.' He picks up Suleiman and puts him on top of his head so the cat can settle_
comfortably in his hair. He doesn't believe Turkey at all - if he really hated his visiting then he'd have tossed him out many times.
sure he had tried on many occasions. "I'm sure you'd manage to get in but that's not to bad of an idea." He was really just being an
asshole, he probably wasn't going to be changing any locks.
blanks out any times Sadik has tried to remove him - to him that's just the type of welcome he can expect to receive at his house. 'You'll_
have to call me when you have so I can test them for you.' He guesses he should leave the Turk at peace now, but unsure of how they now say_
goodbye, he awkwardly pats his shoulder. Their relationship felt odd right now.
to agree with that....their relationship did feel odd. It might have to do with the past events...or strange dreams he's been having. "I'll
let you know if I do...." He replies falling into another awkward silence. "I guess I should probably get going in that case?" It sounds
more like a question rather than a statement.
remembers the 'good old days' when everything was simple, and it was easy to have a conversation with the Turk (generally it involved just_
insulting one another to the point they would get into a proper fight, then both would storm off and do the whole thing again later) but_
now... 'I guess, I mean, I thought you'd want me to go...do stuff.' He wasn't sure of what he was saying, Sadik seemed unreadable to him.
wasn't sure what the other was saying either. "Doing stuff...could be good?" He had been told on harder emotions it was harder to read him
but superficial emotions were much easier to read. It was a sad truth unfortunately. He gets up dusting his pants of cat fur.
nods, the kitten on his head bobbing slightly, and he rubs the back of his head. 'I'll get Suleiman settled. Maybe when you visit him you_
can call ahead so I can...I don't know, make you dinner or something,' The last part is muffled, as he looks away, embarrassed.
quirks a brow at that, the side of his lip curving up slightly before straightening up his expression. "I'll call." He says simply as he
stops in front of the Greek wanting to touch him but refraining before nodding and walking past him towards the door. "You take care of
Suleiman, I don't want to hear that he's been treated bad."
hears the kitten mew in response, having probably learned his name by now, and he sighs in...relief? Probably relief that he wasn't_
shot down, but he wasn't aware that it was the reason. 'I treat all cats very well, even those with names like Suleiman.' He calls back_
in light humour, lifting his hand in a sort of wave motion as he watches the Turk leave.
shakes his head in mild amusement before closing the door behind him and heading home.
