... oops. i have people who "fanned" me i'd like to friend. but then i friended them and they still show up as unconfirmed. that bugs me.

Alright, friends are basically granted more access to your plurks. You can plurk to your friends only, and your fans wouldn't be able to -

yes, i agree with this approach - probably offending some people by not friending them - preferring to friend people i 'know' at least a bit
