I have a kindle( not fire) and I download and then drag and drop PDF into my kindle when it is plugged into my computer

Just asked BF who has a Kindle Fire. You can open the PDFs in the Fire, or the suite of office apps that comes with the Fire.

Yup - but if you want them saved to the fire you have to download them to your pc then email them to your kindles email addy.
