yes, think of it as a bunch of active forum threads crossed with a chat room... participate where U please...

and mute threads that aren't of interest to cut down on the noise

how do you mute threads?

when you click a plurk and it *drops down* there is a *mute* option... tho it would make more sense to subscribe for updates than mute

also, you can sort friends into *cliques* which allows messaging just to those in the group...and the timeline can be viewed as such as well
