Sally Her first appearance. "Hello, Freak." That whole sequence.

She's just being so snarky and jerky and pushing back at Sherlock, which not a lot of people do over the course of the show

And calling someone a freak is unprofessional and mean, yeah. I mean, she's basically a bad guy

But I kind of liked that when I first watched the show? I mean, they're on the same side, and she's just a normal person

As opposed to the real death-and-destruction sort of villains. She's a cop and she uses her normal-person faculties to do her job

But she has to deal with some asshole who's a million times smarter than her (or anyone) and she just decided to not put up with his shit

So he's mean to her and she is mean right back and is twelve years old about it just like he is, which is hilarious.

Anyway that made me like her - I mean, I thought she was a jerk, but a potentially interesting jerk. SO YEAH.

Let me lay some backstory on you. Cissie, that's the lovely blonde lady there, used to be on the Young Justice team. Then she quit.

Her reasons were very good, and she doesn't regret leaving. But. When Anita just unceremoniously signed on without a word to Cissie

She was a little upset. She'd hoped her friends would mourn the loss of a her a little more, and hold off on accepting a new member.

So she's been acting pretty catty to Anita for awhile, for reasons that Anita knows little about and didn't really do anything to deserve

But. Cissie was her inspiration (Anita watched her stop a robbery in pretty epic fashion and decided to be a superhero because of it)

And she isn't disillusioned and disappointed about meeting her hero. No, she just puts herself in Cissie's shoes

And thinks, we need to win this, and my idol is a human being like anyone else, so she needs support

And then she goes and gives her that support

And then she says if that doesn't work, she's going to kick Cissie's ass. Because she will motivate you one way or the other, damn it.

That's my girl. EMPATHY AND ASSKICKING.
