& the top alpha's not erasing what it's supposed to & taking away too much in some. Should I nc the owner or is it my fault for not demoing?

I hate to say it, but if there was a demo available then your fault. If not then NC the owner.

i'd notecard the owner anyway, just pointing out the problems, they might not be aware of it

or they might be an ass about it, then it's one more store to strike off the list
