Oh dear, for about 10 seconds I was thinking "wow, what a cool build! where in SL is that?"

I've seen some pretty incredible ruins when in the Motor City, yep. Both beautiful and very sad!

I was thinking: "Is that the house from that Poe story"?

You can still see the awesomeness...

Someone once loved that house.

it once had.

But so sad... You can see it was a wonderful house, and now, it is probably already beyond repair...

FAR beyond repair. I have seen beautiful buildings with mighty trees growing right out of their bellies. Astounding.

It's pretty amazing how much it takes to make a building fall down.

It is beautiful architecture and terribly sad. But houses have lifetimes, and that house is very, very old and shows the marks of time.

But LOOK how well the roof shingles hold up. THATS craftsmanship.

That should be in the dictionary next to "urban decay"
