just because he can null spirit powers doesn't mean that he can't go to hte spirit world! perhaps developing that level of spirituality

also means he can run around the spirit world and talk to them - but he usually keeps it on STUN SPIRITS so the avatars don't spy

it could also mean that he's done some hardcore spirit world fuckery

interacting with the spirit world doesn't have to be positive

he could have run in, kicked koh in the balls, then run out with all of koh's books on chi-blocking
