I thought California was all eco friendly and healthy food eating people, so that is weird about not mandating recycling.

I thought you had to when when I lived in Cali that you had to recycle. Maybe it's just city to city mandate?

Methane gas emissions I thought was a bad thing if it's too much of it in the air, so that woman is odd.

I'm not sure? We lived in an apartment complex and there was no bins to recycle, everything went into dumpsters

just in general, everywhere I went in OC didn't seem to recycle and I was out of sorts for months because of it

I lived in San Jose and you had to have a recycling bin. But I haven't lived out there in like 9 yrs so what do I know.

But yes here in RI you have to have recycling out of some sort or they wont pick up your trash.

Right, in PA you get fined if they find recyclables in with your regular trash and you have to use white bags in my hometown so that

the black bags can't potentially cover up you not recycling. It's pretty strict so I was just shocked

in regards to the methane gas from landfills they collect the gas and use it for energy they did that to the old lanfill in my city

Yeah we can use black bags for garbage and clear/blue bags for recyclables.

I think we should recycle I think she is still kind of uninformed they do this with old landfills that are no longer being used

i dont know how it would work on a currently used landfill

So does anyone know if they go throw any of the garbage thrown out? That could be more jobs in having garbage sorters? Just thinking.
