I usually dismiss Sharpton, but can anyone see anything in this cartoon that would make it not racist?

I guess it could be that "trained monkeys" in congress wrote it, but it's still an uncomfortable thing to read. Am I too sensitive?

I didn't draw the comparison to race AT ALL...Did immediately think of the idiots in Washington though..

Uhh...I can't believe I'm saying this, but gotta go with Shawn on this one. Couldn't they have used a dumb animal like an ox...

...or a donkey -- to symbolize what asses democrats are. Still makes the same point, in a much less questionable way.

if the cartoonist's choice of animal has to do with that chimp attack the other day that was all over the news.

That could be. But if so, it's stupid. Because that chimp attack has nothing to with politics. So why risk the implied racism?

I agree....they should have used something else to prove their point. To me, it's just not in the spirit of a political cartoon.

I need some sensitivity training, I suppose. Honestly don't see the racist under-currents that most do.

Cartoon should have been caught and stopped by an Editor prior to printing

Suppose growing up in California and spending so much time in the military...just see people as people. Racists really piss me off
