Why would you have to pay them? Is it like an agent fee?

they hang teh photos and potentially make you money, I guess. Might be better to give them commission

thanks wirehead for the link… I have no real idea of what the "reality" of such a model is, but IMHO, it's… not cool, on several levels.

it feels nice to be approached, though... and hopes there's a way you can keep that piece.

I had a sense that was how it shook out with this gallery.

It seems like a model where they just shift the financial risks to the artist. No risk to them for showing an non-selling artist.

icidentally they do take commission too (their profits)... otherwise operating costs are covered by fees.

70/30 was the case with Agora.

if 3000 was an easy expense I would consider giving it a try... but it is not a financial risk I can afford.
