fff the sandwich press is still packed up in a box somewhere and i can't find it!! ...i wonder if i can toast a sandwich with a waffle iron.

alternately if you have a heavy pan you can just place it on top of a sandich in a different pan

the problem with the waffle iron, other than teh waffle shape, is that it is on a hinge
so the pressure isn't as equal as on a sandwich press so things get messed up and squashed around
but if it's a small enough sandwich or a large enough iron, it could totally work
...speaking from experience, I've waffled biscuits before though
'man this biscuit is cold, into the waffle iron it goes
i decided it was less effort to tear all the unpacked boxes apart looking for the sandwich press
i did eventually find it
it was in the same place
as the rice cooker
which we have also been looking for
for a month now
