it's not that someone is even hating on the military, it's that they're joining it.

hard to explain, but a friend was gong to join the Marine Corps

the recruiters were lazy and didn't want to deal with some paperwork, so she decided to 'settle' with the Army.

She was so passionate about the Marine Corps and in my eyes she quit on her chances with it to settle for some friendlier people.

It's more complicated than that too, but I'm tired and don't have time to spare to think about this anymore. I'm done trying to reason.
