There's no actual answer to this. Some people prefer just pictures and credits, some people like to read what you thought as well.

The only personal advice/opinion I have is that if you are writing, put as much effort and energy into that as you do to your pictures.

It's blog content just as much as the pictures. Use spellcheck, proofread your text, figure out what you want to say and how.

My personal preference is blogs with writing, but if the said writing is just 'omg I luff dis ding muah muah lol' I would rather just...
