seemed rather curious about him as did she seem with every other thing that had two legs and walked. So she sat down next to him _
_inconspicuously as a large annoying bird minding her own business.
glared down at it and huffed, ignoring it for now.
kept silent amused at that treatment. Guess he wasn't an animal lover then.
wasn't, especially of swans. He shifted to the other side of the tree.
shifted along to get a better look at him. Being an annoying bird was a rather fun hobby when she was bored.
nudged it, hoping it'd go away.
nudged back in a semi-playful but also defensive manner.
huffs and pushed her away with his foot.
stumbled slightly but pushed him back with just as much force like a human would. Don't mess with the bird.
stumbled and huffed before kicking the bird and walking off.
shook herself to unruffled her feathers. She got up and trailed after him just to annoy him.
wondered what a bird was even doing at night.
didn't know really. She did what birds usually did and that was being annoying.
got out of the park and headed down the street, looking for food.
thought it was pretty funny with the looks he got with a swan following him.
walked into a cafe not long after. He hated birds.
followed him in nonchalantly. It seemed like the people didn't mind thinking she was a pet bird or something.
got himself a coffee and sat down, looking out the window for passerbys.
climbed up on the seat across from him and finding him interesting. Drinking coffee at night and watching people like a creeper.Fascinating!
glares and threw the coffee at the swan before getting up and leaving. He was going home.
barely shielded herself in time and shook off the coffee that stained her feathers, prior to following him again. What a grouchy man he was.
too annoyed to even eat now. And the stupid bird made him waste his coffee.
seemed pleased at what she had done. Nobody kicks her and gets away with it.
got off the main road and walked down a quiet dirt path.
blinks finding it odd that she knew the way as well. But she kept following along not noticing it was the house she took shelter in before.
((... That works well I didn't even notice. ))
got to the house and walked in, slamming the door so the bird couldn't get in.
shrugs and hopped over to the open window, slipping into the house. Right home.
went to the fridge, looking for any blood supplies... but raised his brow when he noticed food.
threw the blood away since she found it a bad omen to keep in a house. She went to see where this odd man had trailed off too.
huffs and kept looking for it.
found him eventually and just watched him and his antics.
yelled out after. He was hungry, and very irritated.
settled down contently while watching him, " You certainly have quite the temper, young man."
startled at that and looked around. He did not want company right now.
raised a brow and chuckled, " Ja, I don't suppose it'll be everyday you'll run into a talking bird."
shakes his head as he walked towards her. "Whatever. You're on my last nerve."
tilts her head cluelessly, " Judging from that tone, I don't suppose asking to be friends is an option." She shrugged.
shakes his head as he grabbed her by the neck. "I don't believe in friends."
didn't feel threatened one bit...maybe just a little " Uh friendship is magic?" She sighed. " And I don't think you should do that..."
huffs as he brought her to his room. "I don't care." She was going to be his meal.
flapped her wings awkwardly noticing where they were going, " Is this going to be some sort_
_ of hate sex or do you have an animal fetish? I really don't suggest that like really."
growls and grabs her beak to shut her up. "I hate food that talks."
flails about as she flap her wings around some more while still attempting to talk. " Still not a good idea!"
held his grip tighter as he entered his room and licked his lips.
thought he probably didn't get a lot of action but seriously with a bird out of all things?! There aren't any holes he'll fit in at all!
held her neck with both hands and pushed some feathers out of the way. He sighed and went to bite her neck, eager for good.
immediately turned back into her human form, having him bite on her sword instead. " I did say that it wasn't a good choice, did I not?"
hissed as he stepped back, glaring at her. "What are you?"
sat up as she brushed some feathers off herself after her sword turned back into a feather. " Something you shouldn't be eating?"
glares. "why are you trying so hard to annoy me?
blinks innocently, " You're the one who started the violence."
growls before jumping at her. He was getting hungrier.
yelps as she raises her sword up in defence. " Can we please play nicely?"
growled more as he took a step back. "There is no playing with food. At least not tonight."
looks at him blankly, " Surely I don't suppose you can cross off cannibalism from your list of eats right?"
"I'd have nothing else to eat. Now be still." He approached her again, licking his lips as he aimed for her neck.
raised her sword, " Do I really have to? I mean like there could be other healthier choices."
shoved her sword out of the way and held her neck, biting into her neck and extending his fangs as deeply as he could.
gasped as she fought back, trying to shove him off. " S-stop!" She didn't want to hurt anyone innocent.
far from innocent. He just began drinking her blood, thankful for food.
cursed as she drove her sword into him without another word. She did try to be nice.
winced and hissed, biting harder and taking a bit more before pulling away, putting his hand over the wound.
whimpered faintly as she tried to stop the bleeding with her sword out. " You could've at least gave a warning first."
licked his lips and retracted his fangs stealthfully. "Why would I?"
pouts as she had trouble stopping the bleeding. " It would've been nice."
licked his lips a few more times and narrowed his eyes at her. "... What are you?" Her blood had tasted different.
huffs, " A valkyrie. And you've spilt the blood of one. My far isn't going to be too pleased."
coughed a bit as he wiped his mouth and held his side still. "Get out..."
rolls her eyes as she went to get bandages, " Like I have any place to go. Besides you're going to die a slow painful death since that_
_ blood you just drank is poisonous to your kind." It wasn't her fault he didn't listen to her.
knew it tasted different. He covered his mouth and coughed some more, cursing after. He needed proper blood to get this out of his system.
didn't think it'll be that easy after how much blood he took carelessly. She finished bandaging her neck and went to check up on_
_ him. " Valkyries don't give up their blood freely you know and it's not easy to rid of it once it's in your system."
hissed and stepped back from her before heading for the door to leave the house. He needed air...
shakes her head and follows after him, " You're going to be dead within a day you know."
shakes his head. "I-I'll figure out a way." He coughed some more, feeling a little woozy.
shrugs, " Your choices seem quite limited right now. Going to the city, passing out and exposing yourself doesn't seem like a good idea."
frowned at that, not liking the idea of possibly passing out and being killed by the sun. He looked around once outside, looking for any
tilts her head,"If you're trying to find something else to feed on it's not going to do you any good. It's not going to replace holy blood."
hissed more at just the mention of it and started scratching at his throat. It was starting to burn.
sighs and just went inside after. She knew the only option she could suggest would just aggravate him more.
wanted to know. He was starving, and starting to have issues breathing.
could give him some of her life force to keep him from dying. The catch is, he wouldn't be able to drink other types of blood without_
_ getting extremely sick since it would screw up his system.
doesn't see how he could live in that case. He needed blood to live, and there's no point in eating if he got sick...
could give him her blood if he played nice. It wouldn't harm him after the ritual but he would have to play nice or be smited down by a god.
didn't know how to 'play nice'. He had been nothing but a vampire his whole life. He needed to take life to live.
didn't feel dead at all but rather was walking around fine. Frankly all he needed to do was not try and be aggressive if she_
_ offered him blood. It was a simple trade off if he still wanted to live.
started to shiver and cursed, walking back into the house. "Where the hell are you?"
pokes her head out from the study. " We're in Midgard not Hel. Get your geography straight."
just glared at her as he walked over and wrapped his hand around her neck. "Make me better."
raised a brow, " You could've said please at the very least but anyways, you're willing to pay the price ja?"
nods. He didn't want to think he was dying.
sighs, " You're not going to have any regrets about this either right?"
starting to now, but it was getting harder and harder for him to breath. "I-I need blood..."
noticed his grip weaken and took on of her plumes out as she started to recite words to a ritual in old Norse. " Consider this in exchange_
_ for letting me live here." She pressed the glowing feather against his chest and let some of her own power flow into him. " You might_
_ feel a bit warm and fuzzy from this."
scrunched up his face at the feeling, he didn't like how she put it, but it was true. He was just glad he could breath...
giving him a part of her soul after all. once the feather was gone, she pointed to her neck. " It's not going to harm you anymore but_
_don't let it get to your head. If you take too much, your body won't be able to handle it."
nods and almost instantly latched onto her neck, needing food desperately.
flinched but didn't move much as she tried to relax. She wondered how did she end up in this mess. Then again it was his fault.
extended his fangs as much as he could and closed his eyes as he drank her blood. It was so much sweeter now.
just waited patiently for him to finish. She did felt a bit weakened by the loss of power though. At least she stopped glowing.
drank a bit more before pulling away, panting lightly against her neck as he licked the blood from the wound. He was feeling great now.
shivered a bit, not used to having someone this close to her as she stumbled back slightly while feeling slightly light_
_ headed from her weakened state. " ...Just don't go hurting other people or animals now."
nods a bit as he licked his lips, making his way to his room to rest. "Ja... not tonight... maybe tomorrow..."
growls as she caused the pain to return to him again. " Good luck trying to play with someone who has control over your life."
hissed and put a hand around his throat, coughing before he turned to glare at her.
had gone off to the study again, shutting the door behind her. It was bad enough he was trying to induce her wrath.
yelled out as he punched the wall, leaving a nice hole. "You didn't say you'd control my life!"
ignored him as she sat down and started reading. She wasn't the one that forced him into making a_
_ choice and she wasn't going to let him drain her out dry.
growled and huffed before heading to the door. He didn't even care if he burnt up in the sun right now.
thins that was impossible but he could feel free to give himself sunburn. She figured she should've let him die earlier if he was like this.
didn't want to be controlled. He felt like he wasn't in charge of his life. He just walked outside, slammed the door, and left.
wouldn't be doing anything unless he was threatening the life of someone or something else. That's what he gets for being foolish.
hadn't even heard of a Valkyrie before. He wasn't expecting them around.
posed no threat to him in the first place until he attacked her. Seeing he wasn't someone strong in the magical arts, he wouldn't be able to
_ control her back in the same fashion even though it would be possible.
just stayed out, and got comfortable under a tree. He couldn't even go home now.
didn't see why he would be so upset over such silly things. She simply went to patch up the hole he made.
hadn't lived with anyone for decades. And especially not with someone who had control over his life. He hated life back then...
still hadn't done anything terrible but just have him a warning. She wasn't cruel nor had any cruel intentions either.
still thought she was. He continued to stay outside and started falling asleep when morning came along.
had clean up the rest of the house and made breakfast. She set up a table outside and nudged him lightly after to wake him up.
hissed a bit and kept his eyes closed. It was too bright... He was just lucky to be covered by shae.
held an umbrella over his head, " God Morgen."
glares up at her. "What do you want?"
shrugs, " You can sit out here all day and get sun burns but you won't die. Trust me on that one."
furrowed his brows at that. "Ja, I will. I've known that my whole life. It almost happened to me."
smiles as she offer a hand to him, " Then you might want to try it out. Valkyries aren't the type to lie or be manipulating."
glared at her hand and got up on his own. He still stayed under the umbrella though.
shrugs, leaving the umbrella there. " As you wish."
made a sound and grabbed it. He covered himself as he made his way back to the house.
simply went to enjoy herself outside. Eating, reading and napping. She found that he was quite amusing after all.
didn't see how. He got inside and sighed, tossing the umbrella to the side as he went to get water.
he's pretty much overreacting. She wasn't doing anything to him for the last time. She wanted to live as much as he did.
still didn't want to share a house with her. He just went to his room, making sure all the windows were sealed before getting into bed. He
went to clean up the house again after she was done. He did agreed on letting her stay however.
might just move then. He could easily find a new house.
isn't liable if he starves to death then.
would probably still try to feed on other people.
finds that he'll end up dying then. It was poisonous to him now.
just thought he'd get sick... he could handle that.
did tell him that there were consequences. She figured like all the other humans he'll be his own downfall.
wasn't a human and looked down on them. He'd figure something out.
figures he'll have a tough time trying to fix something that is niether magic or the occult. She'll give it a day or two that'll he'll die.
would live, he always survived. Later that day he woke up, groggy and feeling just... different.
had let some light into his room seeing it was too dark. She had gone off to get some herbs and spices she found in area.
hissed at the light and jumped out of bed, pressing himself against the wall in a slight panic. He swore she was trying to kill him.
didn't get why he was so nervous about light. It was harmless especially with some of her power protecting him.
didn't trust anyone but himself. He'd have to be shown to believe it, and he was too stubborn to test it.
he's just being naiive. She had opened the windows earlier and nothing happened to him. How would anything bad occur now?
paranoid. He carefully went around, covering the windows again.
smiles happily to herself when she returned to the house with a basket full of goodies. She was sure this would be good for stew later.
had just finally got the house pitch black again. He sighed and went to relax on the couch.
noticed and went back to opening the curtains and windows, letting the fresh air come it. She thought the stale air was bad.
hissed at that and in an instant closed the curtains again and grabbed her wrist. "What are you doing?"
him an odd look, " This place is going grow mould and stink with stale air if you don't open the windows."
shrugs. "I don't care. The sun is evil."
raises a brow, " There was not one single time when you were outside or exposed to light that you'll die." She pulled open the_
_ curtain immediately to prove her point.
hissed and covered his face, but was quickly surprised when he didn't feel himself burn.
sighs and pulls her wrist back, " I'm going back to reading." And off to the study she went after opening the window again.
slowly put his arms down, clenching his hands a few times in the sunlight. He actually looked out and into the sun, the light reflecting
against his sharp green eyes. He couldn't remember the last time he looked into the sunlight...
hums to herself as she read up more about recipes. Valkyries were benevolent creatures after all, and she was no exception to that.
continued to stare out for a while, almost in a trance. Then he licked his lips, starting to get hungry.
scratched her nose, feeling a bit of an itch before sneezing. She would have to dust the study later...
finally tore himself from the light to go find her.
yawns but continued to read and organize the books in a better order.
quietly walked into the room and up behind her. "Food."
didn't turn her head much, " There some leftovers in the kitchen."
tilted her head to the side and extended his fangs. He had no intention of eating human food.
made a displeased sound as she loosed the bandages on her neck. He was such a needy person.
licked his lips before biting into her, sinking his fangs in deep again.
twitched but didn't move as she reminded herself to relax. As much as she disliked the fact she was food it was better_
_ than some other poor fellow dying from it.
put his hand on the other side of her neck to keep her stable. He couldn't help but close his eyes as he drank, it was so sweet...
figured he's rather lucky running into her. Blood from a virgin and a holy being? He really hit the jackpot.
only knew of the holy part, but didn't much care right now. He just knew she was a good snack.
obviously wouldn't be telling him lest he wanted to die for trying to violate her.
wouldn't try. He had his fill in the past, and it brought him nothing now.
figured he was smart of enough. She pushed him away lightly after, " Enough."
huffed as his fangs were forced out of her. He glared at her as he licked his lips. "You better get use to this."
growls but said nothing in response as she went to fix the bandages to stop the bleeding. She would put up with him for now.
headed to the kitchen for water again. He found her blood rather filling.
stayed in the study to rest for a while before doing anything else. She gave up trying to fix the bandages after being drained like that.
would probably just do the same things later.
he's a rather dull person that sleeps and eats all day.
use to go out patrolling for prey, but there was no point now.
went to clean herself up after and cook the stew she was planning to make to go with the leftovers.
wondered why she would waste so much time on so much food.
liked to cook and she had to eat somehow even though it wasn't a must for her. She wanted to learn more about humans after all.
thought if she wanted to learn about them she should go live with one then.
couldn't risk that. She didn't want to expose herself or have them be kill accidentally with the trouble that followed her.
didn't see what trouble came with a Valkyrie.
just a special exception when an angry deity wanted to kill her.
... didn't want her in his house if she could potentially kill him
wasn't interested in killing anyone. She had no reason to and all she wanted to was a place to stay so she could study humans some more.
guessed if she laid low he'd ignore her then. He just didn't like people.
figures the only time he would actually pay attention to her was when he was hungry which was fine by all means except if he's going to wake
_ up in the middle of the night for a snack then no, she'll cut his hand off. Although it would return back to normal in the _
_morning, she liked her beauty sleep.
couldn't promise anything. He normally fed at night, and even what he had now wasn't good for a full day. He just sipped his water and
stared outside some more.
noticed it wasn't too dark yet so she went to water the small garden she had been working on for the past few days.
wondered why she bothered with such things, really.
found it better than whatever he was doing with his miserable life as it would seem.
didn't have a miserable life. It was a little dull at times, but not miserable anymore.
didn't get what he meant by that but she kept to what she was doing.
sighed and hesitantly went outside a bit later to be right under the rays of the sun.
continued to tend to the small garden despite being tired. She wanted the flowers to grow up nicely.
didn't know if they would, since he hadn't grown anything for years.
he hasn't seen the power of a Valkyrie then. It wasn't that hard to grow plants even in a desert with her around.
had never really heard of them before, so no. He didn't know.
figures he should brush up on his reading. She smiles a bit after rubbing her cheek and leaving a bit of dirt there as she went back inside.
stopped her before she did and wiped off her cheek.
seemed taken by surprised why he would do that but muttered a small thanks before going to wash her hands.
just didn't like dirt in his house... that's all.
started to cook after. She wondered if that Dane was going to visit again but thought he might have been busy lately.
had no idea about that even.
never brought it up so of course he wouldn't know. She was a little iffy about this weird stove but she managed to get it to work _
_after vigorously reading the manual.
wasn't going to show her even if she asked. Maybe her starving would get her to leave.
already cooking away if he didn't realize it. She loved the aroma the stew gave off. She was more of a vegetarian person oddly enuff.
enough* ((Oh gawd my english and laziness.))
laid down under a tree and quickly found himself asleep. The sunlight really took a lot out of him.
((Haaa I'm so tired. XD ))
smiles as she finished cooking and taste testing. She was glad it turned out to be good.
surprised he could sleep so easily outside in the sun like this, and so peacefully.
liked how warm the sun was really. She went to eat and read some more in the meantime.
didn't want to leave now. He didn't understand why he was so attracted to it...
figured it was a change for someone who hasn't been in the sun for a while.
... thought 'a while' was much of an understatement. He almost didn't want to leave it now.
he'll be getting a nasty sunburn easily ,especially since he was so pale.
would gladly deal with a sunburn than death now. He woke up once he felt a few butterflies on his face and huffed to turn onto his side.
had finished cleaning up and eating and was taking a nap in the study. She didn't like being so easily tired now.
would be up all day at this rate. He got up soon after and went back inside He needed to shower and change before he went out for the night.
would probably stay at home, sleep and read. She didn't like being out at night constantly because of Hel.
just hoped she lived so he could feed off her. He went into the bathroom and got into the shower after getting out of his clothes.
didn't tell him one important thing for his own good. If she died, so would he. He was living off her existence after all.
had no idea about that... and would probably freak out and rage at her if he did.
didn't think that would help him either way. She just did what she needed to do and that was learn more about humans.
sighed as he stood under the warm water and ran a hand through his hair. He wanted to go to a bar tonight.
quite curious with humans and their bars. It sounded odd just to visit some venue only to get wasted and terribly drunk.
thought it was a great place to pick up women.
wouldn't advise that really especially if that young lady was going to be food later.
would probably forget and try anyways. In the mean time he just cleaned himself off.
figures gathering herbs earlier was a good idea. She went to make a cure for him once she had woken up from her nap.
made his way to his room, keeping a towel around his waist as he got in. He searched around for something nice to wear.
turned her head away when she saw a glimpse of that and went to the kitchen to get her ingredients.
put on a slightly nice shirt and pants. He had at least learned about fashion, he needed to to know of the times.
...still is clueless despite reading the magazines she's found here and there. She preferred her own traditional clothing really.
could tell her everything she needed to know, really. He had lived with them long enough to hate them.
didn't want to get too much help from other people and there was no reason why he would be kind to her.
guessed that was true. He headed for the door after, wondering what bar to go to tonight.
set to work seeing he'll end up in some sort of trouble sooner or later.
didn't think so. But he just went on his way, hunting out women.
took her time making the cure. She wasn't entirely good at magic but she was amazing at brewing things and alchemy.
didn't even want to know what she was making a cure for, really.
he'll find out later when he's rolling around in bed, sick and ill from drinking blood that he wasn't suppose to.
still going to test her theory on that... He got to a bar and sat at the counter, humming a bit as he looked for a victim.
wouldn't stop him seeing she had no reason to. He just would have to deal with the consequences after.
spent time charming the woman before convincing her to go to his place. He quietly made his way back home with her.
baking on the other hand when she finally figured out how the oven worked. She wanted to make all sorts of pastries she had read about.
brought the woman close to his house before going down a small path. He wouldn't dare bring her in side.
caught a glimpse of that but didn't say anything. Baking was more important of course~
put on his charm a bit more before biting the unsuspecting victim. He needed his night snack after all.
jumped when the timer for the oven went off. Splurging a little on baked goods once in a while was fun.
drained his victim of blood, but hadn't noticed until after that he started feeling weird...
smiles proudly to herself as she let the pastries cool on the counter. She glanced at the clock before sighing and retrieving the antidote.
cursed as he put a hand over his stomach and clenched his eyes shut. He had a killing headache as well as stomach pains.
hums as she went back to the kitchen after to nibble on her cooled down pastries. She did keep an eye on the clock however.
cursed more as he got into his house, coughing up some of the blood. He had no idea what was going on.
nibbled on the pastries happily and raised a brow as she heard the sounds. She pouts and went to check up on him after with another sigh.
kept his eyes clenched as he continued to cough up blood. "W-what's happening?"
shook her head as she took out a vial from her apron, "You didn't listen to me did you? If you take the blood of other things your body will
_ reject that in a violent manner." She pricked her finger with her dagger and added a few drops of her blood to the vial causing it to_
_ change into a silvery colour. " Drink this before it gets worse."
opened his eyes long enough to snatch it from her and down it in one go. He hated pain like this.
sighs, " The vomiting won't stop until all of that blood is out of your system but it'll ease the pain. Now, I've got a mess to clean up."
cursed more as he just stood over the sink, coughing up more and more of the blood. He was slightly scared of how his body was reacting.
started to clean while on a cookie. Blood stains were always a pain to get rid of and she had to find that poor soul he drained earlier.
shuddered as he kept his head in the sink for a while. He let out shaky breaths as he tried to recover after, taking some water to spit out
what blood was still in his mouth.
((My english continues to fail me OTL))
sighs after sending the victim back home, making sure the woman healed up and back to normal after erasing her memories.
((I found that rather amusin'. 8D ))
ran a shaky hand through his hair as he still held his stomach. He still felt terrible.
returned after a while to check on him, " You should just go rest. There's nothing else I can do to help you out."
fully planning on that. He pulled himself from the sink and used the wall to help him get to his room. Once there he fell onto the bed and
went back to eating her pastries and reading some more after the house was all cleaned up. She found him quite silly really.
wasn't silly, it was his way of life. For it to suddenly change was a huge thing.
he should learn to trust in the words of others eventually or it can cost him.
didn't trust anyone, and had no reason to listen to anyone until now.
probably right that he'll die sooner or later. Give or take a few days.
yawns and went to the study where she liked to sleep in. It was much better here since it reminded her of home more so than a bed.
just slept, even if his stomach was still unsettled.
had made some extras of the antidote and left it by his bedside earlier. It wasn't sweetened since she didn't add any of her blood to it.
woke up and stared at them, glaring that she entered his room. He hated this.
thought nothing of it and just didn't want that power she gave to him to go to waste. She went back to sleep in the study after.
