If you guys (for whatever reason) end up living in Austin or some place with a similar latitude/climate, you should grow some tomatoes.
They grow really well, and taste so much better fresh. The cherry ones are especially fantastic.

I've actually never had tomatoes with sugar... but I do know I hate ketchup... and that is like tomatoes with sugar...
