Came up with idea as I read a menu at the Weathervane Seafood Restaurant. I ordered clams and lobstah'. Waiter asked,"Dressed or undressed?"

Mainers do this on purpose. He smiled and said, "Dressed means batteh'ed." Followed by, "lobstah' comes with drawn butter."

So, I smile and ask if I can have my butter melted and placed in a bowl.

He asked if I wanted that clarified. I thought I understood him, but then he educated me on how they remove the milk solids from the butter.

MelissaeKae: "Animals with Misleading Names" is great. I think Peacock Mantis Shrimp steals the show of course.

I would add, Killer Whale.

at that restaurant last time with my grandmother. They sell lobster single or twin. You get to pick your own.

Grammy asked me,"Jeff, (pronounced with 2 syllables Jeyaf) Howd'ya suppose we tell which are twins."

I responded, "Don't know, I'm still trying to figure out how to tell they're single."

Well silly, the ones w/o wedding bands are the ones that are single.

As for twins, I'm not so sure...

GingerTPLC: You got it right, but you stick your hand in there and pick out the singles. Twins bands match.

I'm not sticking my hand in there at all.

You know what they say: No Pain, No lobster. And darn, forgot to photo hypnotizing the lobsters prior to steaming them.

Referring back to the photo of the tank at the lobster pound: Somedays I feel like I imagine whatever is going through that crabs head.
