AA ships! Let's say top . . . three?

...these are all going to be Edgeworth pairings, because he is my ship bicycle. Just a warning

1) ....Will Powers/Edgeworth. This is my favorite rare pair, but it has the potential to be super goofy and fun

and that is all I can ask for in a ship

2) Gumshoe/Edgeworth. I actually have super mixed feelings about this, since they'd have a lot of issues

the biggest one being Edgeworth's authority over him. So, I yo-yo on whether or not I ship it

But I love "loyal subordinate" pairings so this hits a lot of pings in that regard

3) Maya/Edgeworth. C-C-C-COMBO BREAKER ahem anyway. When I first heard about this ship, I went "wtf"

"There's no way this can work. Now, maybe if Maya was a little older, or if Edgeworth got over some of his issues...."

then I started thinking about how they'd interact a few years down the line, when Maya was more mature and Edgeworth was more stable

and damnit I started to ship it

like they got back in touch, and started talking about Phoenix and the cases they worked on and old times...

and maybe they get a little closer...

now the Kurain thing. That. That would be a problem

but the potential conflict from that actually makes it more interesting to me

(though in my headcanon, regardless of pairings, Maya would only be the head of Kurain until Pearl was ready to take over)

(because I think it would be a nice bit of closure to the feud their mothers had)

(instead of fighting over the position of leader, they're helping and supporting each other)

(which I think is a really lovely thing)

(Plus, Pearl is the more spiritually talented of the two. She's just younger and more inexperienced)
