Today, one of my very best friends gave birth to beautiful 5lb baby boy Isaac. He lived 8 min before peacefully passing in his mothers arms.
I have found myself weeping most of the morning, trying to gain perspective on such a senseless tragedy.
My friend found out 5 months ago, that due to a genetic complication, her baby boy would be born without many of his major organs.
Being the strong (stronger than me) person that she is, she choose to carry him as long as his little heartbeat would hold out.

He made it 36 weeks.
I hope baby Isaac knew how incredibly and beautifully loved he was in his 8 minutes here with us.
For me, this is the all to harsh reality check that I sometimes need. Life is so incredibly precious.
And no matter how terrible I think my day is going, or how much drama is going on in -any- of my "lives"…
At least I didn't have my son die in my arms this morning.

I'm so sorry, you have such a good heart and you're so right about life being precious. It takes so much more strength than a lot of
