I really love FFVII's soundtrack, and Okami's, but I think what Yasunori Mitsuda did with the Xenogears soundtrack has yet to be matched.

I legitimately adore Uematsu, but I am so incredibly weak to all the celtic elements involved with the Xeno osts. I wasn't happy about the

series going to Namco, but I was so glad he kept composing for it.
