it just came kind of out of nowhere. last weekend she was fine and then all of a sudden she couldn't walk and they put her down. like overnight she went from okay to gone

but she was 14 and lived a long happy life

I had a dog who was incredibly healthy into his old age and one day fell on the steps and wasn't able to walk again. That was a tough couple of days. We scheduled him to be put down but he went a couple hours

before the time we had set.

Which was a blessing to us in a way.

He was a really good boy. And I can't imagine losing your dog that suddenly. We've all had warnings of at least a couple days with our dogs.

Kodiak was a great dane/shepherd mix. We expected him to pass years before he did. Big dog health issues, I know them well <3

and my folks chose to put her to sleep so she wouldn't suffer till she passed naturally but still can't help being angry they went and put her down that quickly, y'know?

I know. I'd be beyond upset if that happened to me.

They don't realize how big they are either. He'd sit on the couch like a person haha

cocoa was like this little pony and never quite grew into her long legs but would try and curl up on the couch or bed with you, esp. in storms

I'm very sorry for your loss. the one comfort is that she didn't suffer long.

I just lost my 17-year-old cat recently, I know these feelings extremely well
