[Event 2] had fallen asleep with his head in a book. He was spending a lot of time doing research.
put a blanket on him to keep him warm as she cleaned up the desk a bit for him before going back to making stew with Skadi and Snorta.
mumbled quietly and flipped his head to the other side. He was exhausted, oddly enough.
figured he had been studying and researching for many days now and he really should rest.
wanted to find a way to make them all stronger...
knew the spells...all he had to do was ask.
wanted to know himself though. That was his purpose in life.
would just focus on making food and leave him be then...
kept sleeping until Snotra went to clean the table, moving the books away. He groaned quietly and sat up, rubbing his eyes and back.
started to serve the food, placing the bowls of stew on the table after. Skadi dug in almost immediately as she helped Snorta clean up and then ate.
licked his lips as he started eating. "This is good..."
nods as she ate quietly. "...Snorta made it." She figured he would forget her cooking anyway so she told him a half lie.
shook his head. "I can always tell when you make it."
shifted as she finished her food rather quickly. " She did make most of it though." Which was mostly true as Skadi nodded.
shrugged. "I can still tell you cooked."
nodded and cleaned up after. She helped Skadi with seconds before letting the summon prepare the dessert which she did some of the dishes from earlier.
took his time, feeling colder than normal for some reason.
put a sweater on him and went to check the fireplace to make sure it was keeping the house warm.
curled up once it was on, rubbing his arms a little. He didn't like feeling cold... It wasn't normal.
frowns in concern as she noticed, " Are you feeling sick?" Skadi claimed it wasn't her fault since she wasn't using any ice related powers.
shrugs. "I don't see how... unless Hel's ice attacks affected me."
seemed worried at that as she looked to Skadi who gave a nod of approval before heading with her to the door with her coat. " I'll be back in a bit then."
frowns and got up, walking over with her. "Where are you going...?"
put her coat on as she looks to him. " Something I should have done ages ago."
frowned and got his coat on. "I'm coming with you..."
nods though she fixed his scarf to keep him warm before heading out with Skadi.
kept close to her, Snotra watching over him as he walked.
went to where the park where a large fountain was. It was practically covered in ice and it wasn't even the season yet.
thought that was a bit odd. "So why are we out here?"
points to the symbol nearby prior to reciting a quiet spell. The ice stayed but the entire area was Hel's domain as the deity who was much larger and stronger now sat on a throne where the fountain used to be.
frowned a bit. "Dorthe..." He didn't want her being near Hel.
knew it but she couldn't keep running away constantly. She already had Skadi limit the area to the park as she was prepared to get rid of Hel once and for all. " She still has control over you, you know."
frowned at that as he put his hand over the wound she caused before hand. "How?"
smiles and approached Hel who seemed amused at her appearance finally. Though Skadi took no time in attacking the diety.
made Snotra help out, not wanting to just stand by and watch.
had Skadi coordinate attacks with Snorta as she worked on dispelling some runes nearby and weakening the deity. There was an amulet that Hel had that controlled him.
had no idea about that... He didn't even feel different. He just went to help Dorthe with what he could.
tried to be careful despite her health as Hel noticed and tried to trap her in ice. She knew he would start to feel the side effects are the battle dragged on.
got rid of all ice around her, wanting to be there for her.
panted as she was starting to get worn down. She kept dispelling the glyphs and symbols until the barrier around Hel was down. Skadi immediately took aim with her bow.
Snotra mumbled spells as she attacked her with magic, keeping her in place so Skadi couldn't miss.
smiled as it seemed to work as Skadi's arrow broke Hel's mask. However, Hel attacked back in retaliation despite being constrained causing massive spikes of ice to come up from the ground.
instantly pulled Dorthe back from the spikes that came their way, not caring if he was hit. It was time he protected her.
hissed as she hit the ground hard. Skadi immediately came to their side, setting up a barrier to protect them from further danger.
wanted this all to end... Snotra kept on her feet, keeping Hel as weak as she could.
saw something dark catch the corner of her eye while Skadi aimed to take or break the amulet controlling him. The Dane immediately put another barrier around him for protection just as she was caught by Hel_
_who broke through the initial barrier and snatched her away as fast as she came through.
saw her vanish and instantly ran after her. He wasn't going to let her disappear again.
frantically tried to break the sphere of ice she was trapped in but it was too thick. Hel smirked and looked even more gruesome with half her face being a skeleton before knocking down Skadi and Snorta.
took a knife from his belt and just jumped at Hel, stabbing her as much as he could. Even if he knew it was pointless, he had to do someting.
shouted for him to stop as she clutched her chest, gasping for air as her prison was filled with water. Skadi could barely save him in time when Hel made a fissure in the ground down to the Niflheim.
panted as he just went to stabbing at Dorthe's prison, trying to get the water out, and give her air.
tried to stay conscious as she was starting to suffocate and begin to drown as the sphere of ice easily repaired itself. Skadi tried to focus and cause Hel to lose concentration to give him more time.
got Snotra to help Skadi, and just kept stabbing at it, being careful of her. He wasn't going to lose her again...
did her best to claw at the ice to help him as she was slowly starting to grow tired and lose conciousness from the water filling her lungs.
stabbed it a few more times, yelling out as he said spells as well to help them.
mouthed his name as she sunk to the bottom of the sphere. Skadi managed to damage Hel enough thanks to him that the sphere was starting to crack.
yelled out and punched at it, finally breaking it and pulled her out instantly.
Dorthe
was
limp and freezing cold by the time she was freed. Skadi practically was sent into overdrive mode and severely damaged Hel to cause her to go back into the world of summons along with breaking the amulet.
cut his finger a bit as he wrote some symbols on Dorthe, muttering spells to help warm her up and bring back her life. Snotra didn't hesitate to help.
still didn't move as Skadi crouched down to examine her after returning. She told him that the revival spell only works once and it had been already used.
frowned and kept trying to use spells on her.
|Skadi huffed as she looked at him. " What was your wish originally?" She wanted to know because the spells weren't going to work.
put his hand on her cheek. "To be with her until the end of time...."
Dorthe
was
still cold to the touch as Skadi made way for Snorta. All the summon did was used his ring as a catalyst to bring her back in accordance to his wish.
just watched her, thanking her quietly as he held Dorthe against his chest.
twitched and coughed violently, trying to expel the water trapped in her lungs. She wasn't all in the green light yet.
turned her on her side and rubbed her back, helping her as much as he could.
Dorthe
was
still gasping and choking, essentially needing assisted breathing as she was still on the border between life and death.
paid no time in waiting and did CPR, being as gentle as he could without hurting her.
sputtered as she coughed and expelled what was left stuck in her lungs before looking at him in a disorientated fashion. She was just glad that he was safe.
had a few injuries, but he didn't notice them as she was his only concern.
held onto him tightly with whatever strength she had left. She wanted to make sure she wasn't dreaming...
held her tightly. "We'll go home soon, and get you warmed up..."
nodded weakly but she felt like the pain in her chest was gone. Skadi had to revert back to its sprite form from using up so much energy and magic earlier fighting Hel.
got up, picking her up with him and headed home. He was glad they could relax now... Snotra just helped keeping things as smooth as possible for them.
shivered quietly as she was soaked to the bone and the cold weather wasn't helping either.
put as much of his coat around her as possible. He got home soon enough and got her into a warm bath, taking off her wet clothes and carefully putting her in.
hissed faintly as she felt some of her wounds start to sting as she curled up rather quickly. It was warm but also unfamiliar since she was alone in the tub.
sat by the edge and cleaned her up, and helped her get warmer. "Guess I can't get sick, can I?"
shook her head or well she hoped he didn't. It felt very awkward for her even if he was nearby.
stroked her hair lightly. "Just rest, and don't move much. Okay?"
nods as she felt like she could fall asleep at any moment.
drained the tub a bit later and got a towel, helping her out of the tub and drying her off.
held onto him without another word. Skadi as a sprite wedged herself inbetween her breasts for the hell of it.
huffed and moved her out of there. "Get out and stay out. She's sick." He helped clothe her and put her on the bed.
seemed out of it as Skadi huffed and hid herself in Snorta's chest instead. The Dane was starting to have a fever without even realizing however.
got a cold cloth and put it on her forehead. "You're always a handful." Snotra hugged and swatted her out.
didn't say anything as she just nodded. All she was glad about was that he was alive and moving about. It was what really mattered to her.
didn't feel too good himself, but forced himself to stay functioning for her sake.
reached out and held onto his hand weakly. She was still cold.
tried to warm her up by putting more blankets on her, and muttering a warm spell
didn't think it was helping much but instead had more trouble breathing because of how many blankets were on her.

blinked when Skadi pushed him into the bed after a while telling him he should quit being awkward.
made a sound and blushed as he glared at Skadi, while not trying to squish Dorthe.
held onto him quietly in her daze, enjoying the extra warmth as Skadi chuckled working as intended.
just shifted so he was by her side and rubbed her arms, trying to warm her up more.
curled up close to him as she clutched onto his shirt and stayed there. She was less restless and more able to sleep as her fever didn't persist for too long thanks to him.
kissed her forehead after putting the cloth to the side. "Goednacht, Dorthe..."
mumbled back quietly as she slept, " Godnat Nikolaas." Skadi did managed to stay on Snorta's chest after.
stroked her hair until she fell asleep. Snotra swatted her out again and covered her chest.
continued to sleep and try to recover in the meantime as Skadi went to do other silly things, trying to recuperate in her own way in he meantime.

kissed him though she kind of missed and pecked his nose instead as she nodded back. " God morgen..." She mumbled, still half awake.
didn't mind as he rubbed his nose. "You're not much of a morning person..."

fumbled a bit as she winced and cut herself with the knife she had been washed. She was a little surprised by his sudden outburst.
sighed and walked back over, taking her out of the kitchen. "See?" He knew he couldn't trust her.

frowned, feeling a bit demotivated by that. She wanted to finish washing the dishes first.

sniffled quietly as she rubbed her eyes and tried to shake off her unhappy feelings. She didn't want to seem weak and as if she had cried, even if it was a little.
frowned when he saw that. "Dorthe..."
squeaked when she realized he was there and quickly apologized as she rubbed her eyes again, making them more red. " S-sorry. I-I was...just overthinking things again." She tried to come up with an excuse.
shook his head and walked in, hugging her lightly. "What's wrong?"
shifted as she bit her lip. " I-I'm just being m-moody...ja that's it." Though it was really hard not to bawl like a child like she typically did. She was really scared of being alone.

held onto his shirt quietly. Skadi took her notebook and hid it away for her after.
frowned a but, wondering why she did that.
Dorthe
was
a little nervous about people looking at it since they would probably declare her insane or demented in the head. Most of it was when she was being controlled by Hel.

prayed that he wouldn't. She curled up quietly as she started to space out a bit.
picked her up and brought her to the bed, laying her down. He wanted her to stop spacing out..
seemed to snap out of it while being carried and just clung onto him instead. She couldn't rest in her current state.

just had a bit of a panic attack as she couldn't function properly from being left alone for too long even if Skadi was trying to reassure her.
frowned and just had her rest against him.
chewed on her lip apologizing again after. " Sorry."

took deep breathes after as she tried to keep calm. She hadn't realized all these sicknesses had built up over the years from so much stress.

felt more secure in his arms for sure. She ended up falling into a light sleep again, as if needing a nap to regain some energy again even in the middle of the day.
didn't move, not wanting to wake her up.
held onto his shirt tightly even in her sleep until her knuckles were white and shifted. She thought she was hearing voices as Skadi narrowed her eyes from watching.
frowned and put his hand over hers, trying to make her loose her grip.
seemed to be unable to let go as she shifted more. Skadi went over and pushed the Dane's hair away from her neck to reveal a vivid rune of Hel's there and immediately cursed, calling Snorta over for help.
felt his heart drop instantly when he saw that. Snotra came to her call quickly, keeping her face straight at seeing that.
breathed heavily as she was feeling weaker and drained from it. Skadi seemed quite annoyed that they had missed such a thing and she was in no power to get rid of it.
would help if he could... Snotra just tried to think of spells she could use.
shifted more after as blood started trickled down the corner of lip as her grip did loosen eventually but it wasn't a good sign at all. Skadi tried to touch the mark but it burned her hand instead.

starting to panic, leaning over her more and shaking her a bit. "Dorthe..."

still caught in her nightmare as she whimpered and coughed out more blood. Skadi immediately tried her best to sever the connection between Hel and the Dane which seemed to be helping a bit.
put his hand over the mark on her neck, not wanting to see it. He hated how cursed she was...
hadn't realized or notice it at all but it was starting to burn his hand. Hel always did sneaky things just to screw with them. The Dane did call out his name in her struggles_
_despite her pain and the tears forming at the corner of her eyes.
hisssed but kept his hand on the mark. He kissed her forehead lightly, wanting her to snap out of it.

close to practically begging for him to help her from how much pain she was in. She could only gasp, getting a bit of air as Skadi weakened the connection more.
frowned. "I don't know what to do..."
pleaded for anyone one to save her inbetween her childlike sobbing. Skadi huffed as things were going downhill, " Go into her dream then. We'll work on the outside, you'll help her from the inside."
looked to her. "How is that even possible?"
shifted as Skadi nodded to Snorta. " We have a spell for that so just sleep and get her out of Hel's grasp."
frowned but nodded and closed his eyes. He didn't know if he could sleep though..
continued to struggle as Skadi nodded to Snorta to start the spell as quickly and as safely as possible.
felt himself get tired but then wake up, inside the dream. He was so confused.
Dorthe
was
curled up in a corner sobbing as Hel hovered her telling her lies and all sorts of terrible things.
growled and told Hel to leave her alone while going over to comfort Dorthe
sniffled as she shook, begging for all of it to stop. She was a complete mess as Hel blocked his way and locked the Dane up in a cage without her knowing.
just went on attacking Hel again. He was getting use to this.
curled up more as Hel laughed and fought him without care. It was his wife he was hurting ultimately in the end.
had no idea, he just wanted Hel gone out of their lives.
winced just as Hel was hit who simply laughed in return. He was running out of time at this rate.
didn't know what to do... He never knew about things like this.

gasped as the pain started to subside a bit as she looked at him blankly. Skadi seemed relieved the mark was slowly fading away and searched for any other curse marks to get rid of. There was a lot of them...
wondered how no one saw them before hand...
wouldn't know as Skadi set up a barrier to keep them safe as they removed them. Hel was crafty and more so wanting to inflict pain on them.

figured it was revenge for ruining Hel's plans of coming to Earth and destroying it or something like that.
just didn't understand how she could still be doing all this damage to Dorthe..

curled up more as she eventually awoke but she was quite disorientated and weak again. Skadi sighed as she gave her master one more look over before heaving another sigh of relief that it was over.

idly wrapped his arms around her. He wanted to know how to help now...
...just needed to rest but it would take a lot of time to mend, especially mentally. She simply stared at him blankly in her state.
kissed her cheek and stroked her head. "Sleep..."
shook her head barely as she tilted her head tiredly to the side. She was scared of having the nightmares again.
held her tighter. "I won't let anything happen to you..."
frowned as she watched him. She was too drained to do anything but she was still out of it.
kept stroking her hair. "I promise..."
shook her head again as she was struggling hard to stay awake. She didn't feel well at all.
really wanted her to rest..
frowned at that. "...I don't want to be alone." She choked out quietly.
nods. "You won't be, I'm right here..."
bit her lip harshly as she was reminded of some terrible lies that Hel forced onto her. "...P-promise?"
nods. "Cross my heart and hope to die..."
smiled weakly as she eventually closed her eyes slowly, barely even breathing after that.

did stop breathing from time to time but Skadi kept an eye too. They knew what to do to avoid Snorta using too much energy to revive her again.

tired himself, but kept trying to keep her breathing as best he could. He was terrified.
's breathing did steady eventually despite still not breathing much. Snorta and Skadi were trying to create a medicine to help them both too.
just stayed awake, only ever closing his eyes for a few moments at a time.
stayed mostly still, not moving or budging for even an inch. She was not as cold as before thankfully.

glad for that. He still kept a blanket around her to keep her as warm as possible.
held onto him lightly, muttering his name again quietly. It was an odd habit of hers.
had noticed that quickly. He tried to keep from sleeping, not wanting to risk her slipping away again.
didn't shift but she was glad to be warm. Skadi handed him some medication that would help him and the Dane though he'll have to figure out how to give it to her since she wasn't waking up for a while.
took the medicine and sighed before kissing her lightly, trying to feed her the medicine that way.
struggled a bit at first but eventually took it. She was a little more obedient in her sleep.

relaxed a little and had a bit of colour return to her cheeks. She was still in a fragile state but recovering slowly.

shifted eventually. She was healing up very quickly...which was odd. That medicine was weird just like everything else that has been happening.

nodded, noticing his focus blur before passing out on the pillow. He was exhausted.

made a weak sound as she turned her head away slightly. "...S-sorry I woke you up." She was feeling light headed again but still forced herself to focus for him.
shook his head and stroked her hair. "It's okay..." He went to get up to get her some water.
gasped faintly as she stayed in her spot. She really did need a lot of time to recover and she hated how weak she was.
came back a bit later, holding the glass near her lips. "Drink..."
looked at it before managing to take a tiny sip. Anymore and she probably would have choked.
kept wanting her to drink. He was worried she was dehydrated.
had to push it away after as she struggled much to even her own dismay as it wasn't making her feel any better.
sighed and put it on the table. "I don't know what to do...
chewed on her lip habitually as she made a faint sound. She couldn't do anything to help him.
sighs. "Just try to get better... then I'll sleep..."
looks to the side, sniffling quietly. She was trying but then...she didn't want it to be at his expense.
knew it'd have to be at this rate. He couldn't even let her be awake on her own.

figured he was a small sacrifice for her sake. He just kept stroking her hair.

winced as she gasped for air, realizing she was pushing herself a bit too much again and curled up as she shook. Her body really hated her.
shakes his head. "Dorthe, rest and relax... that's the only way ye'll get better."

nods. "If you die, all I've done will be for nothing."
