had his phone off. He hadn't expected anyone to call him or anything. He was currently standing in the middle of a square in Stockholm, eyes slightly faded and downcast.
sighed a little, she continued to walk through the square, freezing when she spied him, she gasped a little before running over and hugging him from behind.
made a quiet sound as he was snapped out of his trance. He slowly turned his head and smiled faintly.
didn't say anything , she just buried her face into his neck, she was normally alone on this day, so she was glad to be with someone now.
lightly put his arms around her and rubbed her back a bit. He figured she'd be in some pain
breathed out heavily, tightening her grip on him. She would keep her emotions in check just like normal, ignore the pain and act like nothing is wrong.
knew she must be suffering. He just held her tight, showing he was there for her. Always.
didn't like showing that she was suffering. But she felt like she could more so show how she felt. "Why are y' here?" She wouldn't complain though.
stroked her hair lightly as he held her head against himself. "I just... found myself here. I don't even remember crossin' the boarder. Or the Bridge."
nods a little. "Ah.." She shifted. "'M glad y'er here.." She bit her lip, she felt better right now.
kissed the side of her head. "Ye wanna go to a bar?"
thought that over and nodded. "Ja.. Let's go."
headed off to find one, hoping there would be one open this early.
pulled away from him slightly and started t lead the way, she knew where one was.
held her hand lightly as they walked, not wanting her to feel alone.
squeezed his hand as she led him, she got to the bar and went in, not letting him go.
told the waitress to bring a beer and vodka, and brought her over to a booth near the corner. He wanted to be in a quiet area with her, and in a comfortable area.
sat down as soon as they got to the table, she looked tired and worn out. She looked at Soren quietly, not sure what to say.
just smiled faintly and held her hand again.
squeezed his hand sighing quietly. "After this can we go home? 'M so tired.."
nods. "Ja. Just drink away first. I want ye to relax."
nodded a little, she took a drink as soon as the cup got there, downing the rest moments after.
chuckles. "Careful. It'd be a shame for ye to out drink me."
flushed a little in embarrassment. "Sorry." She didn't mean to. "I just.. I don' like thinkin 'bout this stuff."
nods and sipped his beer. "It's fine. I... understand quite well, really."
nods quietly. "Cause 'f Berwald?"
nodded and kept quiet, sipping more of his beer.
squeezed his hand slightly. "'M guessin' y' feel badly?"
nods. "Ja, of course. If he was around I'd probably have run into him in the square too. I use to find him there at this time of year."
nodded a little frowning. "I don' think Dorthe regrets what she did.. 'M glad y'er bein the bigger person.." She meant about coming all the way up here.
shrugs and drank more. "I just think it's the connection I have with this place... I can't not be here at this time."
nods again, playing with some of her hair. "Ja.. I know what y' mean.."
finished his beer and sighed. "M'just glad m'here with ye."
"'M glad y'er here.. 'nd 'm not alone." This time at least.
ordered another beer and sighed. "Let's just chil, ja? Then we'll go home."
nods quietly, ordering two glasses of vodka.
just ordered a bunch of drinks, saying they'd have friends here soon. He figured it'd save the waitress from constant back and forth.
liked that idea, drinking her drinks more slowly this time.
hummed and drank more. He thought they should try and have a good day today, to make up for the past.
never thought of it that way. She was always a little depressed and felt slightly empty from this day.
wanted to help her... He felt weird since with her, he didn't feel as bad..
felt better with him, she just over thought this every year. "Tack.. Again. For stayin.."
smiles. "Of course I would..."
nods, she drank her vodka quietly again.
sipped his drinks, feeling better for some reason.
felt a little better, but not completely better, she just liked him being around.
wouldn't leave her, especially here. He just drank, keeping an eye on her.
finished her drinks and ordered two more, biting her lip as she waited, not knowing he was watching her.
chuckled a little and rubbed her hand. "Ye'll be okay.."
jumpped a little and looked at him, she nodded a little. "A-ah.. Ja.." She hadn't been expecting the touch.
kissed her hand lightly before drinking more.
flushed a little, she smiled at him slightly.
knew how simple things made her happy. He just didn't want her to sulk today.
couldn't help it, she made him happy, so little things he did made her smile.
glad to make her smile, especially on this day of all days.
would agree that this is the first time she's smiled on this day in a very long time.
hoped he'd make at least today a good day.
today got better as soon as he came around. She was so glad she wasn't alone.
drank a little more and stroked her hair. "We can either go home or head out to eat... dependin' how drunk ye get."
looked at him. "'M not drunk." She mumbled. "It takes a lot more t' get me drunk."
smirks. "I know. But if we stay here, ye will get drunk."
frowned a little. "Nej...." She shook her head, she knew she was lying.
