This is $20, so not sure if that's too much, but this is the best one I ever bought. Swiss Army Knife. Everyone got one, and they still use it.

fun gifts from the $ Store: deck of cards, clothespins (great for leftover chips, etc.), scrub brushes, chamois cloths, measuring spoons, thongs, etc.

small packs of legos, sports tshirts, usb cords of some sort, I alwys put some type of toy in. Even for DH's stocking.
