It was randomly hanging out in the parking lot I usually hang out in the other day.

The news reminded me, in the cafe today. I was originally going D: at "it's the second death this week from someone being pushed onto the subway tracks" but then they mentioned the bear and I was like oh yeah

Sadly it was dark out so my pics suck, but I feel a little better that the news couldn't get a decent shot either. Heh. Bears, man. Hilarious. I'll never get used to life here.

oh shit 8| was it a large bear or a tiny bear...

I have no real basis for this since bear are not indigenous to my home but it was like. Bigger than my brother. Big enough to eat a dog in one bite.

And yet it climbed a rather tiny tree and chilled there for a while

I'd say that was a pretty big bear then!

I hope they managed to track it down and take it back out into the wild (or some place safer for both it and everyone else)

I have never seen a bear out and about, but I thought I did once, and my reaction was, "Oh, to hell with this. If there's really a bear at my fucking bus stop I refuse to go to school today. "

Fortunately it was just a really big bush that made a really big shadow. I spent half the school year trudging to the bus stop in the dark, so it was hard to see things sometimes.

Hahaha nah it just sat around in the tree scratching it's balls a while til the cops showed up and blared cricket sirens at it til it lumbered off to the burger place across the street

It didn't seem particularly interested in eating faces though. Just picked through a few dumpsters and smacked some pigeons around. /thumbs up

I am fascinated tbh. Like I'm legit still impressed that squirrels exist so you can imagine how the bear made me giddy

I suppose I would still object to one at the bus stop but who knows

We only had time eating polar bears at home.
