cackled maniacally as she was chasing her dragon outside where the latter was rolling a giant snow ball. She loved winter. A lot.
.. just stared at her from the inside. He was cooold.
didn't cold at all and Heimdall had a little earmuffs and a scarf to keep warm. She laughed as they rolled thw snowball into their nicely build fort next to the house.
sighed a little, starting to get his winter clotheso n.
highfives the dragon as she tried to shake out the snow in her hair but it was no use as it was snowing a lot.
stepped out a bit later to join them.
went back to chasing Heimdall and playing with him around the large forge. How they even manage to make one half as high as the house was a mystery~
wouldn't question it. She did things he didn't know was possible.
had help really...from the dragon.
knew that. It wasn't humanly possible for her to do that.
smiles to him as she saw him nearby, " I thought you were going to stay inside all day."
nods a little. "I figured I'd come outside to watch you."
wrinkled her nose as the dragon flew around, " Aren't you going to be cold then?"
sighs, " Just be more careful."
shrugs. "I'll be okay. If I start getting cold I'll just go inside."
nods to that, " Alright, but tell me if you're not feeling well okay?"
nods a little as he watched them.
brushed some snow that was on him before helping the dragon with his snowman or in this case, snow bunny.
kept close to the house , just to be safe.
smiles as she was working hard on making a cute rabbit...but Heimdall disapproved her art skills as it looked more like a fat bird...
just smirked a little as he watched her.
sighed as she tried hard to fix it.
tried to give her some pointers.
still sucked at it no matter what.
thought it was a good try at least.
pouts as Heimdall laughed at her failure.
shakes his head a bit. "Be nice, dragon."
blinks as Heimdall pouts at him that he had a name after all.
knew that, but he figured if he said that he'd listen to him better.
sighed and just reminded him not to call Heimdall that.
shrugged a bit. He just wanted him to listen to him for once.
frowned as Heimdall seemed unhappy and went to cheer the dragon up after who was always more fond of her.
didn't mind as long as he didn't get too close to Dorthe.
always treated it like a child and found it adorable when it gave her kisses. It slipped into her coat playfully as she sighed and went inside.
stayed out a bit longer to look at the snow.
went to make some hot cocoa after warming up with Heimdall.
felt like being out a bit longer, even if he didn't like the snow.
noticed and went outside promptly after slipping on her shoes to hand him his mug. She had forgotten her coat but she thought he looked cold.
sighed. "Get back inside." He started walking back in.
pouts as she still offered the mug to him in a persistent manner. " At least take this first. I'll be fine. It's not that cold, but there's just a lot of snow."
nods and took the mug. "Nee, you always do this. I don't want you getting sick."
shook her head dismissively once he took the mug. " I won't be sick from snow that easily. I was born in the North you know."
nods. "Ja, but you some times have a terrible immune system. Just being out in the rain can get you a cold."
rolled her eyes, " That's just sometimes and I'm seriously fine!" She insisted, " And I'm used to the rain since it rains nearly every month of the year."
shrugged and pushed her back into the house, following shortly after.
reluctantly went back to the house, brushing the snow off of herself. She was genuinely used to the weather though.
didn't want to risk her getting sick. He was a little tired of trying to take care of her.
wasn't getting sick for the last time for Odin's sake!
starting to find that he was doubting her rather than being worried.
just going off passed experiences.
hadn't been sick for a while now...
thought she was due for one soon...
seemed a bit ticked off that he would try to jinx his own wife's health. " For Odin's sake, the more you think about, the more paranoid you'll be."
sighed and sipped his drink. "I just worry..."
glared at him, " Maybe you're just overdoing it this time." She was started to get irritated how much he complained about taking care of her when she was capable herself with nothing wrong going on.
just didn't want her to be so stubborn when she was sick. He went to sit down and try to warm up.
wasn't and will not be sick ever! She groaned aloud for once a little fed up with his persistence that she was definitely going to be sick soon and cause him problems.
went to her room with Heimdall and shut the door behind her. She was maybe a little upset. Maybe.
... just was worried for her...
thought it was fine but once it got a little too much, it was a bit hard for her to handle.
would be silent the rest of the day then...
wasn't really going to leave her room much except for beer and food so he really didn't have to interact with her or be forced to if he didn't want to.
would just stay quiet in the living room for her.
felt bad for what he did now.
woke up once in a while and just gave all her attention to Heimdall even if she was still half awake. She wasn't in any mood to play games like she usually would on colder day.
felt even worse for ruining her day.
listened to Heimdall rant away about things. She eventually left her room and noticed the Dutchman wasn't in the kitchen like he usually was. She frowned promptly and retreated back to her room after.
just idly sketching in the living room, but after a while had decided to just lock himself up in his study.
went to check the kitchen again after the dragon urged her more so to check the bacon. Noticing the lack of food, she prepared to leave the house for a bit to restock the kitchen.
didn't hear her walk around as he got into reading a book.
left a note with Heimdall, reminding the dragon to behave before leaving. She wasn't going to be gone for long...
hoped not. Though he felt he might be worrying too much...
went by foot, deciding that it wasn't too far away. She didn't notice or seem bothered that a snowstorm was brewing up quite a bit. She was used to this weather after all.
had taken notice of it. He didn't like it.
took her time walking and went to the market she liked. There didn't seemed to be a lot of people present and decided to get some ingredients to make something that would at least alleviate his worries of her.
doubted she could make anything like that, but he wished her the best of luck.
had a plan in mind and went to look for her ingredients. Her pace was slow from how cold it was outside and how sleepy she was. She would warm up eventually but by the time she was done, the storm was terrible.
took a break from reading and went to get something to drink, and to watch the snow fall.
frowns as she decided not to take her chances for once and just waited for the storm to clear up but it didn't seem like it would for the rest of the day. Heimdall on the other hand flew around in the kitchen.
just went to make tea, figuring she was still in her room. He was a little empty minded lately.
|Heimdall wriggled but squawked when the note slipped out of his claws and right into the tea. The dragon tried to fish it out after as the writing became illegible.
made a sound at that and took the paper out, but went to make a new tea anyways. "What was that about?"
frowns when she realized she left her phone at home while Heimdall tried to explain that she went out in the bad weather. The dragon had thought the grocery part was a surprise for him and didn't mention it.
frowned a bit and shook his head. "She should know better..." He went to get his keys. "Where is she?"
sneeze quietly as her nose was itching while waiting. Heimdall pointed to outside saying she was shopping but it whimpered when he saw how bad the weather was outside. It was really bad.
didn't want her to risk going in this weather, so he got outside and into the car quickly, going to look for her on his way to the store.
had been staring out the window, waiting for the snow to die down. People were moving in and out of the store quickly, waiting to avoid the weather.
careful on the roads, making sure not to drive too fast.
noticed traffic starting to back up from some accidents that were happening and how slow the cars were driving. She was reluctant to call home and ask for help.
managed to get around them when he noticed in advanced. He got to the store as quickly as he could, and ran inside to avoid the snow. He really didn't like it right wno.
chatting with an elderly lady who seemed to have a question before leaving the grocery store. She sighed quietly watching the lady leave before staring out the window, waiting again.
shivered a bit as he looked around, stopping and looking at her. He was amazed she stayed inside.
hadn't noticed him yet but idly stared out the window, still waiting with a ton of grocery bags with her.
walked over, rubbing his arms a bit. "Hey..."
blinked for a brief moment as she recognized the voice and looked to him. She was rather surprised that he was there, thinking it might have been a coincidence or something.
sighed. "I thought you'd try to walk home in this... So I came to pick you up."
frowned but nodded, knowing she had caused him trouble again even when she was careful and tried to not take a risk for once. " Tak."
didn't find it a trouble, he was just worried. He took some of the bags and headed out to the car.
followed after him once she got the rest of the bags. She still felt like she failed in trying to be more independent. In the very end, he was the one to come and help her out.
didn't mind at all this time. He was happy she took the safe route. He'd not mind ever helping her out in this situation.
would be thoroughly confused if she knew. She stayed quiet for the most part, getting everything into the car and then sitting in the passenger seat.
headed home after, driving slowly because of the weather. "Thank you..."
seemed puzzled by that but nodded instead of questioning about it. She stayed quiet so he could concentrate on driving despite something catching in the corner of her eye.
kept going slow, mentally thanking her for the quiet. He normally didn't have to concentrate this much on the road
tensed as it was impossible to see anything on the road. She made a faint sound as there was a loud crash as cars suddenly started to spin out of control.
cursed and turned to a side road, just in time to miss a car. He stopped and sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I hate snow."
frowned as she nodded slightly and rubbed her neck that was sore from the jerking of the car after a few sharp turns. " Some people are driving too fast in this weather."
nods and looked back. "Do you think you can drive home yourself?"
blinks as she looked at him and nods, " Ja, but why?" She seemed like it was better to wait it out at least until the snow plows came around and sprinkled the roads with salt.
undid his seatbelt. "Even if they are idiots, I should help them."
frowns, " I'll help out too. It'll be easier with more people around to check if they're okay." She unbuckled her seatbelt after rubbing her neck a bit more.
nods and got out of the car, locking it after and headed to the main road.
follows after him. It was a bit of a mess when they got there.
just got to digging snow out of the way and helping people out of their cars and into nearby buildings to keep warm and get over their shock.
went to make a few calls and account for everyone in the meantime. She was glad to see that it wasn't extremely severe.
glad too. He only saw people with bumps and bruises, but nothing too bloody. He went to give a warning up before the crash to worn other drivers.
went around as quickly as she could as the ambulance finally arrived along with the police to help out.
talked to them briefly before that took over, giving him a break. He went to find Dorthe after, figuring it was safe to head home now.
spent most of her time helped out the the triage and entertaining the children. Maybe that medical degree her boss forced her to get a while back was useful.
sighed a bit. "Hey, do you want to go home yet?"
glanced over as she nods. She was cheering up a child that had beencrying.
nods a little. "I'll warm up the car." He headed off and got into the car, turning it on.
gave a hug to the child before leaving her contact information with the police. She rubbed her neck as it was still sore. She didn't notice another car zipping straight at her after it spun out of control.
could hear the sound of it and got out of the car, going to check it out.
heard some frantic shouting before she turning her head as the last moment only to see the car smash her right into the wall and break it down.
just stared in disbelief.
stayed stunned for a bit before slowly starting to pull herself out of the wreck. She blinked and climbed out of the hole in the wall, wondering what had happened.
just ran over to her, going to check up on her.
rather lucky it clipped her in the side as she went over to him. "...My head and my side hurt a bit." She didn't notice she was bleeding.
nods as he brought her quickly to the ambulance to get looked at.
blinks as she was treated quickly. She frowned thinking she caused trouble for him again.
just worried. He'd not leave home for a while after this.
seemed rather upset at herself for that. She was free to go after and looked too him apologetically.
held her hand, shaking slightly as he headed back to the car.
seemed rather drained and wanted to sleep. She noticed how shaky he was and squeezed his hand lightly as they were walking back. She would still try to stay away, wanting to finish her surprise for him.
thought she was mad at him, which was why she went off in the first place. He helped her into the car before getting in, and being extra careful in getting home.
had been upset but she knew he had his reasons and tried to think of a way to help him. She simply closed her eyes the moment she was strapped into the seat and fell asleep.
made sure it was an uneventful ride home, wanting her to rest. He got home and carefully carried her inside.
continued sleeping unaware that they reached home already.
put her on the couch to rest.
shifted weakly as Heimdall went over to see what's wrong and wondering where all the grocery was.
went to go get them once he put a blanket on her.
stirred quietly a bit later as Heimdall shook her to wake up.
started putting all the groceries away after he brought them all in.
sat up quietly, holding her head as it was pounding away. She closed her eyes for a while to get her bearings before looking down at the dragon who was worried.
came to check on her a bit later.
shifted as she saw him enter. " Ah sorry for being careless."
shakes his head. He was just a little tired from his nerves being shot.
went to the kitchen after to get some water and work on something to help him.
sighs. "Do you feel okay?"
smiles and nods in an attempt to lighten the situation, " Ja. I've been resting most of the day."
nods a little. "Okay. If you start to hurt though, please sit."
just gathered her ingredients and kept in mind not to push herself for once. She had Heimdall stay with the Dutchman to comfort him.
just taking deep breaths as he cleaned, and went to start thinking of what to make for dinner.
had already started on that, thinking that he needed some time to breathe. She handed him a cup of camomile tea and some chocolate sweets she made to calm his nerves a bit.
thanked her quietly and leaned against the counter, sighing as he drank a bit.
had finished preparing the ingredients for dinner but was unable to start on making it as her head started to hurt more. She washed her hands before heading to the living room to rest after wincing.
told the dragon to keep an eye on her while he continued with dinner.
fell asleep unintentionally and curled up in the blanket from before. She didn't want to be ill...
hoped she wouldn't be. Some times he didn't like being right.
just tired hopefully. Being smashed into a building wasn't the best thing to happen.
knew that. He'd let her have as much rest as she wanted, and keep a close eye on her.
tried to be more independent at the very least and not require his aid.
thought she was pretty independent as it was. Just some times she did things a little childish.
...was always a child at heart and there was nothing to change that.
didn't want her to change that at all. He was just commenting on it.
sometimes worried herself if he was fed up of her because of that. She woke up pretty late in the middle of the night, closer to the morning and completely unaware of her sleeping so much.
had made dinner and left it on the kitchen table, all wrapped up and everything cleaned after. He had fallen asleep on a side of the table that wasn't covered in food, waiting for her.
carefully pushed the sleeping dragon off of her, making sure not to wake it up. She kept the blanket around herself as she went to the kitchen, taking light steps to not wake up the Dutchman either.
sleeping soundlessly with his head and arms on the table.
, though groggy had frowned and put her blanket around him carefully. She kissed the top of his head, muttering an apology before putting the food away being extra careful and quiet to not wake him up.
mumbled quietly and shifted, stretching out his arms after.
made sure to get a pillow for him before she sat down in the seat beside the wall, leaning against it quietly as she nodded off again.
yawned and looked at her, sighing. "Go to bed..."
had already fallen asleep the moment right before he spoke. She only shifted slightly, more worried for him in truth.
((Oh how applicable this is xD))
shakes his head and leaned a bit to poke her, not wanting to lift himself from the table.
moved slightly from that as she stirred a little.
sighs. "Don't make me carry you up..
looked to him slowly as she was still half asleep. She frowned and eventually got up dragging herself to the bedroom, thinking he didn't want her around.
pulled himself up as well. He just didn't want the both of them to be in pain by morning.
curled up in bed after, feeling like she was annoying to him.
joined her shortly after. Just by falling onto the bed.
shifted to make room for him as she watched tiredly. Her side was starting to hurt again.
yawned a little. "Tell me if you hurt..."
frowns and got up to get the first aid kit.
curled up as she held her side. It was painful...
came back and went to change the bandages.
quietly apologized as she stayed in her spot.
shakes his head as he fixed her up. "Just don't let it get infected..."
nods weakly and stayed in place.. She had a feeling he wasn't happy about taking care of her again...
wasn't really, but he knew if he didn't she wouldn't and he didn't want her running off.
wasn't in any shape or form to go to anywhere. She stayed in place keeping to herself.
finished it up a little after. "Is that better?"
nods as she shifted slightly. " Tak."
nods. "You're welcome..." He cleaned up before heading back to bed again.
looks to him tiredly, " Hej...am I annoying to you?"
shakes his head as he got comfortable.
frowns, " Troublesome then?"
nods and went to try to sleep after.
stroked her hair lightly.
