Several of you have asked about it. What the penalty is is largely up to you, but if you need suggestions we can help!
I could use a suggestion? I haven't figured one out yet for Merrill.
What kinds of things are important to her? Her magic, her sight, etc? Would forgetting some elf culture bother her since she's Dalish?
That would bother her a lot, especially if she forgot any Dalish words, I'm just not sure if it's enough since she doesn't use them much. Magic... let me see how the cast would feel about that, thank you.
You're welcome! Let us know what you decide.
How would the cast feel about a blood mage losing her magic? HMMMMM. :|a Let me think about that. /shot
How long do penalties last?
At least a week but after that it's up to you.
characters who die get the death penalty. Why do I find that humorous?
I feel like I'm full of dumb questions today, but I want to make sure I play the game right. Does the penalty begin immediately upon waking for the character? Ie, they die, open their eyes and bam, penalty?
I guess there could be a situation where it wouldn't appear to like acid eating through your body or something but it would start upon waking
Pleasant! Ok, thanks very much. Now I have some thinking to do...
There's no real formal way to do it, just run it by us. You can either think up your own or ask us for suggestions. It needs to last at least a week but it can last longer if you want
Remember that they're supposed to increase in severity so if you have a really big thing in mind you might want to hold off on it
if this is the first death
Peers forgets all bread recipes
See, that's what I get for typing on my phone: typos. But yeah, have him forget how to make bread!
