stood around in the living room, staring down at a rather large floor painting he was working on.
politely knocked on the door, hoping that her reclusive broer was home. If not, this basket of goodies she brought with her was going to be left to Romano or Spain~
sighed and ignored it. He assumed it was some promoters for something and he was in the middle of art.
knocked yet again, growing impatient but it was expected from someone like her broer. She decided to go to the window to see what he was up to and it better not be smoking again!
Netherlands
was
just smoking a cigarette. He kept ignoring the other and went back to painting.
scowled at the sight of that and knocked on the window loudly. " Big Broer!" Perhaps it was a better idea to have visited Spain first if the other was going to ignore her like that.
jumped at that, then slowly turned around to look at her.
huffed as she points to his cigarette. " You better put that out!" She wasn't to happy to see him destroying his health again.
just walked over to the window, rolling the cig to the other side of his mouth. "Why are you here out of all places and where have you been?"
pouts as she saw that, knowing he would never listen to her. " Put that cigarette out first and then I'll answer your question." She just wished he would take her advice for once.
sighs. "It's almost done. Now tell me."
shook her head, matching his stubbornness as per usual. " Not until you put it out." She paused and lifted up the basket she had brought with her as well. " Or you won't get any of my sweets."
looked at her and sighed before putting it out. "There."
gave one of her content cat-like smiles before nodding towards the front door, " Good. Now can you please let me in so we can talk properly?"
nodded and walked around his painting before opening the door for her.
stepped into the house, brushing the snow off of her before handing him the basket. " Dank u." She sighed glad to be out of the snowy weather. " So, what do you need me to answer?"
shrugs as he took the basket. "Where have you been this whole time...?"
scratched her cheek as she tried to think of every place she had been in the last few months or year or so. " Hm...let's see. I've been to most of the EU offices and most embassies around the world."
nods a little as he headed to the kitchen. "Watch out for the painting."
followed behind him carefully, eyeing the painting in amusement before entering the kitchen. " I'm not a klutz you know."
nods as he put the basket down. "I know, but I've been dealing with one for a while now so I just need to make sure."
raised a brow as she gave an amused smile at that, " Dealing with one? Does that mean you've finally made up with Spain~?"
huffs and glared at her. "Nee." He went to make some tea for himself after.
frowns and took a seat, knowing he would never getting along with Spain. At least it was worth a try but that didn't rule out who this other person he spoke about was. " So who's this klutz you mentioned then?"
worked on his tea once he poured the water into a cup. "Dorthe."
looked at him blankly. " Who is that?" She had no idea what was going on though she smiled when she saw the wedding ring on his hand. " Finally settled down huh?"
frowned a bit before nodding. "Dorthe's my wife."
stared at him for a rather long time before smiling wider than she possibly had in the past. " You got married?!" And she was bursting with excitement, nevermind the fact she wasn't invited to the wedding.
nods. "It was... a private wedding. We basically just got each other rings."
shook her head, " You should have call or something! I would've brought gifts and food to help out." She wanted to meet his wife now too.
shrugs. "I tried for a while before hand, but gave up..." He didn't think she cared about him for not returning his calls.
blinks as her smile dropped but she didn't frown despite being left out of something so important. " I guess. My phone has been pretty weird these days." A half-lie but she was glad her broer was doing well.
nods and sipped his tea quietly.
shrugs slightly, disappointed but smiles never the less. " You know you can feel free to eat the treats if you're hungry. I'm guessing you were working on that painting most of the day without food."
nods a little, knowing she'd catch on to that. "Dorthe normally brings me treats while I work, but she's out." He looked in the basket and looked through what she brought.
had made the traditional stuff he liked generally. " She does? Maybe it'll be nice to meet her sometime in the future." She wondered if she was going to have to make her own tea.
shrugs. "I could call her if you want." He noticed her eyeing the tea and sighed as he went to make her some.
smiles, glad to know her broer still knew how to be a good host at the very least. " Well, she might be busy and I'm not staying for too long so why don't you just describe her to me instead to make it easier?"
raises his brow. "You're not going to stay for long?"
shrugs innocently, " I'll be an awkward third wheel unless..." She smiles in an amused manner after, " You want me to take her off your hands~" She still thought _
_this Dorthe person was a human which was odd seeing nations generally avoided having human relationships. She was quite worried about her older broer making bad decisions again.
shakes his head. "She doesn't need to be taken off my hands. She's easy enough to deal with." He just called her, seeing if she wanted to meet his sister.
nods as she leaned back and just went to make the tea for herself instead of sitting around and twiddling her thumbs. She knew her way around the kitchen even years ago when she lived here._

didn't like change... he wished she had visited more though. He got off the phone a bit later, sipping his tea once more.
might visit more depending on if he would stop smoking and be a little nicer to her~? She made the tea the way she preferred it and contently sat down, sipping from the mug. " What did she say?"
nods a bit. "She'll be here once she finishes up some work." He doubted he'd stop smoking. It was a part of him.
blinks at how quickly that conversation on the phone transpired. " Oh, that's nice." She was still going to try to convince him to stop either way.
didn't mind. He didn't want Dorthe working anyways. He wanted to spend more time with her...
sipped her tea, thankful for the warmth but also wondered if she was going to out of place here if the other woman was around.
wasn't going to exclude her. She was a guest, and his sister.
Belgium
was
rather curious on who this Dorthe person was seeing her broer would dedicate himself to a human. She had no idea that the world had changed and was frankly clueless for the most part.
figured that much, but instead of explaining it he was going to let Dorthe explain herself. It made things easier then.
would prefer an explanation from him than her sudden sister in law really. He never really told her anything until the last minute and it always strained their relationship whenever he did that.
sighs. "She's unique. I'll say that much."
blinks at that, " Isn't that what you usually say to all the women you've brought home in the past?"
huffs. "She's different."
nods, " You've said that too." She loved to tease her broer.
huffs more and just ignored her as he drank his tea, waiting for Dorthe.
giggled and sipped her tea, patiently waiting for this women he spoke about. She greeted the rabbit who seemed rather pleased to see her again. " She's gotten fat since the last time I saw her."
rolls his eyes. "Blame Dorthe for that. She gives her treats all the time."
raised a brow, " She can see the rabbit?" Humans generally couldn't see the pets of nations since they had a bit of a special status.
nods. "Of course she can."
petted the rabbit after it hopped onto her lap. " I've never heard about another female nation by that name though..." She knew the rest of the female nations pretty well too.
nods a little. "Ja... you wouldn't know of her..."
wrinkled her nose as she had a rather curious expression on her face. " I wouldn't? Are you implying she's some woman from a whole distant planet where you and Spain cross dress and skip in meadows together?"
glares at her.
laughs at his expression, clearly amused by that. " Look your forehead wrinkles are showing up again, big broer!"
huffs and went to the living room to look out the window, waiting for Dorthe.
sighs and shook her head, following after with the tea and rabbit in her hands. She couldn't help but smile at the expression her broer had as it was much different compared to the past.
didn't see how. He didn't remember how he was in the past really, though.
put a plate of sweets in front of him after, " At least eat a little. I'm sure she wouldn't be happy to find you passed out when she comes home, ja?"
shrugs. "I had a few sweets earlier. I'll be fine."
figured it would be best not to push it further and play with the rabbit instead. She wondered when was the other suppose to arrive home.
assumed it'd be soon. It didn't take that long to come from the office.
thought it was taking a rather long time and glanced at the clock every now and then as time flew by. It seemed to be starting to get a bit late.
sighs a bit. "She should be home soon."
glanced over to him and nods, still finding it odd that it was taking longer than he had claimed it to be. She went to refill their tea in the meantime.
wondered what was taking her so long.
would know as she had never met this person before. She perked up when she heard the storm door open and the sounds of the front door being unlocked.
sighed. "Finally." He went to the door to help her.
peeked over from the living room to see who this person was. She raised a brow, mentally wondering if that was Denmark in drag and some crazy ploy by her broer. " Hallo~?"
seemed rather clueless as to there being another visitor. She kissed her husband on the cheek when she saw him before looking at the sound of another female voice. She didn't hear about this in their phonecall.
blushed a bit at the kiss and looked a little away. "Dorthe... Elise. Elise, Dorthe."
laughs at her broer's expressed and waved excitedly to the other as she went over to properly greet the woman. She was still confused as to why the other looked so similar to Denmark. " Nice to meet you~"
nods and grins, glad to see that his family was back around again. " Ja, nice to meet you too." She was rather tired from work but the other seemed to be energetic that she appreciated that a lot.
went to get Dorthe some tea. "I'll make dinner tonight, so just relax."
blinks and looked at the other who shrugs. It was amazing enough to hear her broer offer to cook without being nagged or asked to.
smiled, appreciative of that as she took off her coat and shoes. " Ah tak. I'll help out with dessert later. Make sure to make enough for your soster too." She assumed the other was going to stay for dinner.
had planned for that. He just checked the fridge to make sure they had enough food before bringing the tea over to Dorthe. "I guess we could all sit in the living room?"
thanked him as she sipped the tea and settled down on a couch in the living room. " Ja that'll be nice. You okay with that Elise?"
nodded along, " Yeah I don't mind." She had a lot to ask aboit the woman really.
sat on the couch beside Dorthe, glancing over to Elise every now and then. He was still surprised really that she was there.

seemed rather bubbly and oblivious to everything. She just chatted away with the Dane, thoroughly amused by all these weird things she's heard.
just listened in on them, ready to fill in Elise with anything if she asked or seemed lost.
just tried her best to explain but wasn't very good considering that she left out a lot of info here and there.
sighs. "She's... Denmark, to put it simply."
nods slowly, sort of getting the hang of it. " So in other words you married Denmark." She hadn't heard of any merging countries and figured it was based on a treaty.
shrugs. "Kind of. This Denmark, at least."
nodded in agreement, " A representation of a part of it. The more awesome part obviously." She gloated proudly about that.
tilts her head and smiles at the thought of the entire story, " So in other words you married the female version of your closest friend." She shrugs and remarks after. " Cute."
huffs at her. "It's not like I planned for it to happen. She wouldn't leave me alone."
scratches her head at that cluelessly as she looked at her husband, " Does that mean you had a fling with Soren before?" She saw the other woman stifle her giggles after.
glares at her. "Nee. We were only ever allies. We never got that close."
didn't seem fazed by that glare nowadays as she just shrugged as the look on Elise's face seemed to say otherwise. " Sure, whatever works for_

shook her head as she calmed down from her giggles after. " Well from the looks of it, at least broer has settled down. It's only the problem of smoking we have to fix." She elbowed the Dutchman to remind him.
swatted her elbow away. "That's not going to change. It's become apart of me now."
shook her head at the sight of that, " You smoke even more than I drink sometimes, love." She smirks slyly, slipping that term of endearment at the end.
glares at her. "Don't call me that."
laughs at how he easily reacted to the other woman's teasing. " Why not broer? She has to at least have something to call you other than your name or official name."
shrugs. "I prefer those. Besides, she normally doesn't have a reason to use pet names like that."
pouts, " It's more like you're boring and no fun when it comes to pet names. Would you like me to address you as Niko or Neddy instead? Better yet I can call you Holly #2."
shakes his head. "Nikolaas is fine. I don't need anything else than that."
watched the other shrug in defeat as she shook her head. " I'm guessing hat means from how lame that sounds, you sex life is pretty unfulfilled by him then?" She joked causing the other woman to laugh.
rolls his eyes. "Close to every 3rd day. She's pretty fiery."
smirks back almost as if it was a challenge, " Like I'm the only one who gets horny in this room. You should see him in the odd times when he wants it. Sometimes its early in the morning or even at the office."
blushed and looked away. "Work gets boring sometimes..."
tilted her head, surprised to see her broer blush and act so shyly. " Really? You've been always the type to hole yourself in your office until the shift is over or the workload is done."
nods. "It's been different since Dorthe showed up."
shrugs innocently, content that she could last longer than him at times. " Hey, I get the work done and even yours when you get frisky and too tired for the rest of the day." She _

pats her broer on the back. " She's a keeper alright." She gave a firm nod of approval after.
nods as he looked down. "I know. I wouldn't settle for anyone less."
scratched her cheek as she seemed to take that as a compliment. She got up after, wanted to get out of her office clothes, " I'll be right back and I'll bring a new batch of tea after."
nods as he watched her. "Dank u."
watched the other leave before nudging him, " Your standards are pretty high if you managed find someone like her."
nods. "She's better than what I imagined I'd ever settle for..."
gave him one her usual cat smiles, " Sounds like you really do love her if she isn't out of your house by now." She joked lightly, knowing her broer's old habits.
nods. "She's been here for more than a year. I don't think she's going anywhere."
nods and smiles, " That long? Trying to convince the other Denmark to stay is harder than anything else even with my home having the best beers in the world."
sighed as he leaned into the couch. "She wants to stay here, that's the difference. We're happy here..."
raised a brow as she was standing behind him, listening in on the conversation. She pressed her chest against the back of his head as she lean over and above him. " Are you implying something there, Nikolaas?"
shakes his head as he glanced up at her. "Nee. It's just the truth."
leaned against him and nods, " I could leave if you want." She had just put some water on the kettle.
huffs. "Nee. You're staying here."
smirks and nods as the other female giggled at his reaction.
huffed a little and just looked off to the side.
nods and went back to the kitchen to make tea and food.
just sat there, hands in his lap.
nudged him lightly with a smile. " You really do love her, huh?"
nods. "Of course. I'd not deal with anything involving marriage if I wasn't serious."
smiles more, " Was there any ceremony?"
shakes his head. "It was very quiet... none of our friends or family even knew about it."
blinks at that. " Seems pretty hush if event I didn't know. It seems more like an agreement than a wedding."
shrugs. "We didn't know what the other nations would think, so it wasn't a union. Though, I don't care what anyone thinks... She's my wife, and I love her."
hums, " Why not have a small ceremony then? I'm sure she would look lovely in a wedding dress~"
shrugs. "I don't think there's a point... besides, they're expensive."
pooouts at him, " But that's like crushing every girl's fantasy to be a bride~ Think about it! The white gown and all the celebrations and stuff too!" Maybe she was thinking a little to far ahead of herself.
sighs. He guessed he could ask her...
just happened to return with some tea and sweets she found in the kitchen. " Here you go~" She even brought some apples for the rabbit to eat as well.
nods and took his tea, sipping it a bit. "Dank u."
looked to the other woman who seemed to have something in mind. She didn't really pay much attention to her or her husband as she just relaxed and tired from work.
nudged him again so he would speak up and ask.
sighs. "Dorthe, do you want to have a wedding...?"
accidentally snapped her biscuit in half as she heard that. She stared at him blankly, not catching what he said or making sure she didn't hear what she thought she heard. " Wha?"
sighs. "Do you want to have a wedding?"
fumbled as she caught the cookie piece she nearly dropped. She reddened and tried to figure out her words. " I just figured you would prefer to avoid wasting money so I never brought it up." She rubbed her neck

smiles and nods to that, giving her broer another encouraging nudge. At least her intuition never failed her on that part.

stared at him blankly before looking down to the rabbit and asking if this was some sort of dream. The rabbit shook its head and she smiled. " There's a lot of planning and money needed though."
sighed and nodded. "If it makes you happy, that's all that matters."
pouts as she looks to him, " What about you then? It's not fair if its a one sided thing." The other women just watched and observed in amusement.
shakes his head. "We could get some proper photos. You wanted that too, didn't you? This would give me a reason and not be as awkward."
smiles as she piped in, " I can help out with the planning and stuff too~ I know my broer's tastes pretty well too."
watched the two before coming to a conclusion. " I guess...but you have to invite everyone and when I mean everyone, ask my twin for the guest list."
frowns but nods. "I can get that..."
shrugs, " Whatever works best for the both of you perhaps?"
sighs and nods, " Then seeing that I'm packed with work for now, you can get it all ready including the budget. If there is anything you need my approval then ask me I guess."

shrugs, " Why would you say that? It was delicious." She didn't think there was anything wrong with it.

nods. "Ja, but not when you taint it. I just want dinner, not something that will make me horny or high." He got up soon after and just headed for the office.
watched him and then looked at the other women. "...But we didn't add anything to the stew." She was insulted by that because she was the one who put the ingredients together while Belgium just cooked it.
knew Belgium had tampered with it. That and the stress of planning the wedding now was getting to him.
had been actually teasing him considering that she would never do something mean to her broer unless it was April Fool's day or something. She thought he should have apologized to Dorthe at the very least.

he was going a bit overboard, especially towards his own wife. She shook her head and helped Dorthe with the desserts.

doubted that was going to save his case seeing he pretty much rejected the both of them. She just helped the Dane make sure the dessert wasn't going to come apart now that the other seemed a little sad.

Belgium

he was still taking it too seriously. If he got upset everytime she or Dorthe decided to be playful, then what was the point of being his sibling or in the Dane's case, his wife?
didn't mind playfulness. He just wanted a normal meal without double guessing it.
found that more so his problem when she only joked about it. She served up the dessert, putting a place card indicating that it was not poisoned or had any special ingredients. It was a plain waffle.
felt bad seeing he was the only one getting that and switched it with her own which was decorated and had all sorts of goodies when no one was looking. She ate the plain waffle while cleaning up the kitchen.
didn't think she had to do it. He just wasn't use to having his sister around again, or the two of them together. He didn't hesitate to eat the waffle though.
Dorthe
was
worried he wouldn't eat again. His sister knew she had switched it and Elise figured she would never understand the both of them. The Dane went back to keeping his sister company seeing it_

wasn't going to stop eating. He enjoyed the dessert, and went to find them after to keep them both company.
and Dorthe thought he was going to avoid their cooking. She just asked questions and even talking about her trip. A lot of them were related to EU and peace keeping missions.

tried her best to stay awake but she had to excuse herself not long after once she noticed she wasn't really listening in from how tired she was and went upstairs to rest.
gave her a quick kiss on the forehead as she passed by.
stifled her giggles at how cute that was as the Dane left while rubbing her own forehead. She glanced over to her broer with an amused smile. " You've been a bit mean to your wife today you know."
shrugs. "This is common, really."
shakes her head. " I kind of doubt its fair to her after she seems to have slaved through the entire day. She even looked like she rushed home just for you."
nods. "Ja, I told her you were here and to meet you..." He sighed a bit. "I'll make it up to her tomorrow. I've already got appointments to go to."
shrugs, " Maybe just make it up with her tonight. She seemed rather busy if she was stuck at work for a long time after you call her."
nods a little. "If she's tired though, she should rest. And you're still here."
shrugs, " I can go home now so you can have your time alone with her."
shakes his head a bit. "I don't want to kick you out because of this." He was a bit worried she'd vanish agian.
shakes her head, " This is your home and she's your family after all. Besides are you implying that I can't take care of myself again like before?"
shakes his head. "You are family too, though."
sighs, " If this is an attempt to get me to stay here, it's not going to work broer. We've had this talk before and I don't want you being at my door for another week when you have a wedding to plan."
shakes his head. "It's not like that. It's just been a while."
smiles, " Yeap I know but I'm not going anywhere so you don't have to get all nervous and stuff."
nods a little. "Then I could go back to Dorthe..."
smiles more with an affirmative nod. " Mhmm. She's the one who needs you now."
nods as he headed up stairs. "Dank u, for visiting."
waves before leaving and heading home. She wanted her broer and new sister in law to be happy.
