A question for those of you who still remember their critical thinking classes from college:

Does the argument that human vitamins / supplements tested on animals before they're deemed safe for humans--
Lyn says

--also make the final product safe for consumption for the animals they were tested on?

Because my dad is being a massive idiot. He keeps mocking me for spending 450 pesos for vitamins for my rabbits. : |

I think he wants me to feed them cheaper human vitamins instead.
『 』
It depends on whether or not they just grafted a human ear on a rat or not
『 』
The simpler route is this: the vitamin requirements of rabbits is not the same as the vitamin requirements of humans.
Lyn says
: | I told him that, too, but he kept going back to his initial statement.
Lyn says

My dad has an aggravating mindset when it comes to these things.
Lyn says

Debate is hard in Fookien. >:
『 』

He is working on the wrong assumption that rabbit requirements = human requirements. Also the wrong assumption that animal testing = rabbit testing.
『 』
Also an incomplete assumption of what happens during animal testing.
Lyn says
I will repeat that the next time he picks on me again.
『 』

If this was canto, I'd know the perfect rebuttal.
Lyn says
What is the rebuttal?
『 』
But it essentially translates to "stop talking rubbish and shut up"
Lyn says
Haha maybe Fookien has an equivalent...
『 』
Which, to be fair, is what every other phrase in canto translates into
Lyn says

I very rarely get the chance to win against him in arguments because his logic is flawed everywhere.
Lyn says

The one time was when he said that he didn't want to replace our 15-year-old cars because they're still working. He'll wait until they've completely broken down.
『 』
My sister and I learned how to deal with that.
Lyn says
And then he started talking about wanting to build a new building on our property in Davao to replace the one already on it--it's starting to rot, he said.
Lyn says
I was in a nasty mood then so I told him to wait until the building's collapsed, just like how he wants to wait for our cars to break down first.
Lyn says
I must have struck him dumb because he stopped arguing with me and retreated right after.
『 』
We have a car in Canada that is 30 years old now lol
Lyn says
: | I can only do that when I turn his own flawed logic against him.
『 』
But yes, nastiness is how Stacey deals with it. My solution was to move out.

Next dinner, serve your dad rabbit food. It's the same.
Lyn says

:'D Well, either works.

Do you know that I still get horrified whenever I see Yukeh killing rabbits in GW2.
Lyn says
--Oh wait, I read that as "serve your dad rabbit for dinner".
『 』
Yukeh is a berserker
Lyn says
Actually my father will never enjoy fine dining, even the amazing dishes that are worth their price.
Lyn says
Because for him, all food will become poop in the end.
Lyn says
So serving him rabbit food... lmao.
Lyn says
=w= Maybe when I get annoyed enough haha.
Yukeh says
Hahahahaahahahaha.
Yukeh says
"Would you take rabbit vitamins?"
『 』
You can't ask that because he'd say no based on cost immediately.

I spend about 45$ on six heartguard pills per dog (i just have the two) I have to buy different pills for both because their weight is different, one is about 50lbs and the other is about 60lbs.
Naveed
So there's a huge dosage difference between humans and animals, that alone should be enough.
Naveed
especially humans vs bunny rabbits
Naveed
too high a dosage could make your rabbit sick or even kill it (don't quote me on this I'm soooo not a vet)
Naveed
but it could happen?
Naveed
also, rabbits probably need different vitamins than humans
Lyn says
Haha they weigh about a kilo each.
Lyn says
And their dosage is 0.25 ml each.
Lyn says
I have to feed them through a syringe.
Lyn says
Luckily, they like the taste of the syrup so I don't have to force them to lick at it.
Naveed
Ah, I didn't even think about syringes because I like my animals med-large =D
Lyn says
XD I could feed them via spoon, but I need the syringe for exact measurements.
