thought maybe it was a sign of the changing times?
didn't know... he just kept to himself though. But not overly. He didn't avoid anyone.
poked his forehead as she was crouched in front of him with a curious expression. " Something's bothering you isn't it?" She did call him earlier to tell him she was coming over to visit again.
blinks and rubbed his forehead. "Nee. Not me, personally."
rested her head on her knees as she examined him. " It still affects you as a whole doesn't it, broer?"
nods a little. "I guess... but it's not huge."
hums, " It's still something important that you can't ignore though."
sighs. "I'm finally getting a king again... I don't see how it's a big deal..."
plays with the ends of her hair as she continued to hum. " It's still a change seeing that you had a female monarch for a century."
nods a little and sighed again. "I guess. I don't see anything important about it though."
blinks at that, " Have you been too caught up with the wedding lately?"
nods at that. "Everything is set and planned, we just need the day to come up."
furrows her brows, " When is a good day? And how were you even able to book anything without a date?" She was quite curious of her broer's ability to schedule a wedding with a date.
sighs. "We have a date. We're just waiting for it."
wrinkles her nose, " Annnd when is that?"
sighs. "A few weeks from now."
perks up, " Did you send out the invitations already?"
nods. "Ja. They're done and away with."
smiles at that, " So who's going to be the maid of honor, the best man and the one passing her off to you?"
blinks at him, " Hm? What is it?"
"I was going to let her chose her maid of honor..."
smiles, " I'm sure she has someone good in mind."
sighs. "I hope so... I should probably ask her."
blinks, " Wouldn't her Norway be the one she'll want as her maid of honor?"
shrugs. "I'm not sure. I can't really think of anyone else... so I guess so."
tilts her head, " What about the rest of her family and even the female version of you?"
shrugs. "Her Iceland hasn't been around lately, or Sweden. Norway is all she has. And I don't know about the Netherlands... I don't... talk to her."
perks up a bit at that, " Really? Aren't you and Soren close though?'
smiles, " Doesn't that mean Dorthe would share a similar bond with her Netherlands, broer?"
nods at that. "I guess? I can't tell who she'll choose though to be her maid of honor."
a good pat to her broer, " When do you see her today then?"
shrugs. "Whenever I want."
raises a brow at that, " Hm? How so?"
sighs. "I can just go find her. She's always around."
smiles, " That sounds good that you have someone you love always nearby you."
nods. "It's nice having someone I can always count on..."
smiles more as she stood up to look around, " It's more like you've found the person you can count on for the rest of your life now."
nodded. "She's the only one I can trust."
pouts as she sat next to him, " I would be insulted if I wanted to be but you have your reasons so I understand."
rolls his eyes. "I trust you too, but her I can trust with anything."
nudged him lightly, with a curious expression " Like what?"
shrugs. "I can trust you won't kill me."
rolls her eyes, " Like I have any reason to."
shrugs again. "You never know..."
stares at him before shaking her head, " You're my broer after all and too important to me to harm you in any way."
sighed as he leaned back. "That's good then."
smiles innocently, " Why would you ask that any way?" She still could pack a punch.
messed up his hair just like she would in the past and went to find the rabbit.
huffs and glares at her as he fixed it. He hoped none of this king stuff got too out of hand
found it rather interesting news seeing the monarchies of countries were now considered a novelty or something. She sat back down after with the rabbit in her lap.
sighed quietly. "It'll be nice when this is all over..."
glanced over, " What do you mean by that?"
shrugs. "The peoples chaos and the wedding... I just want to be able to work on my art again."
raises a brow, " So you're not happy about the wedding?"
shakes his head. "Nee, I am... but I miss my art."
played with the rabbit and nods, " You make it sound like that's more important than anything else though."
sighs. "I just miss it... it's the one thing I've always had."
looks to him in a bemused fashion, " But no one is stopping you from working on it right now."
nods. "My mind. It won't rest until everything is over."
pokes at his head, " I doubt I can easily gess what's going on in there anymore. Just no more smoking and no more pot, please."
glares at her. "You know full well I won't stop that."
huffs and matches his glare with her stare. " Starting now would be nice, broer."
pulled out a cigarette from his back pocket.
narrowed her eyes at him, " You wouldn't dare..."
let the cig rest on his lower lip.
went to remove it, clearly unhappy about what he was doing.
tilted his head back so she couldn't take it. "Why are you so against this?"
scowls as she still tried to reach over to take it. " Because it's bad for your health, that's why."
rolls his eyes and kept her away. "I've done much worse than smoke, you know."
huffs, " Well at least you're not doing those right now."
nods as he lit the cig. "This and weed is about the worst I do."
snatched away the lighter before he could light it. " Broer!" She wasn't happy at all to see him ignore her.
huffs. "Would you rather I smoke or snort some other more toxic drug?"
huffs and tucked the lighter away safely. " How about niether?"
huffs and went to go get another lighter.
frowned at that and went to stop him. " Broer!" She really didn't like what he was doing. " I'm not going to come back ever if you smoke and I mean it!"
sighs as he looked to her. "Why is it such a big deal? My health is fine. And it's a good way to relax. Even Dorthe does it with me at times."
scowls, " Its because I care about you and don't pull her into this. Knowing Søren, she drinks more than she smokes doesn't she?"
shrugs. "Not as of late. But she has over drank before."
frowns, " That's still not good either way..."
sighs. "Smoking isn't that bad."
shook her head, " It's not bad until it kills you eventually." She was getting upset again that he never seemed to listen to her.
groaned. "I'm not going to die from smoking."
made a sound at that. " But still..." She was tempted to leave because she was getting tired of him ignoring her pleas like in the past.
just wanted a smoke... he thought she was over reacting.
wasn't overacting. She was seriously getting fed up as she just only concerned with his health. She sighed and gave up, sitting back down and playing with the rabbit.
rolled his eyes and put the cig away. "Happy?"
nods but kept quiet, still not happy that she had to push him that much just to get him to stop.
thought she was just childish when it came to that.
just a bit stubborn like he was. It ran in the family.
Could tell. He needed to be around less stubborn people...
wasn't at fault when he was the one who got her to be so stubborn. It rubbed off on her.
wouldn't say anything for the rest of the day then.
didn't think he really ever talked much in the first place.
guessed so... He wasn't much of a social person.
didn't like it when it got so quiet...
just sat down. He had nothing to talk about..
knew he didn't. He was always quiet and observing of others. She was usually the one to talk and seeing how sour the mood was, she went to the kitchen to make some sweets.
thought that was a good way to improve things.
thought he might be hungry or something.
a little. He hadn't thought about food lately.
started to make something with whatever she could find.
hoped she didn't trick him or put weed in it...
wouldn't do that for the last time already.
had a bit of trouble trusting her.
...hadn't done anything or had any reason to.
would trust her this round then.
seemed a little put off especially since she didn't want him to intake anything bad...so why would she go out of her way to mess up his food? It made no sense especially that he was suspicious of his sister.
looking forward to it now.
made the food like she usually did along with some treats as dessert after. She took her time, hoping he would stop treating her almost like some annoying stanger.
liked the smell that filled the house. He'd get use to her over time.
went to sit down in the kitchen as he watched her.
took her time, making a good meal for him. She just thought that he would at least enjoy her cooking even if he was suspicious of her for no apparent reason.
probably would, he enjoyed food.
served up sone appetizers first so he didn't have to sit so long.
idly nibbled at them, thinking they were good.
glad to see that while she worked on the main dish.
thought she still cooked wlel.
made moules-frites for him seeing that he had odd ingredients here and there. She serve it up after before tending to the rabbit.
ate that once he finished the appetiser. "This is good."
nods and worked on dessert in the meantime. " That's good to hear that you still like it."
continued to eat happily.
really glad to see that as she put her best effort to make his favourite desserts.
thought he would have forgotten about it completely.
so. She hd a feeling that was the result of him doing too many bad substances.
just didn't remember much of his childhood at all.
...wondered why? They had spent their time growing up with practically each other and the rest of the family including Spain and Romano.
didn't know why. He just didn't remember much besides working in tulip fields, then the Dutch revolt..
would be rather sad to hear that...
didn't like talking about it much.
remebered all they memories they shared together. From the good to the bad, to the most special and even the silly ones.
really couldn't remember anything...
wondered how was that even possible. She wondered if there was anything she could do to help his amnesia.
figured if he didn't remember, it should stay like that.
guessed that was another way to deal with it.
finisihed eating a bit later, licking his lips happily.
served up dessert for him before sitting down herself and eating. She figured he was a hungry person after all, that fact she knew hadn't changed all these years.
just liked to eat once in a while.
had made the meal as close as she could to the past when they lived together in peace...
thought it was a nice reminder...
finished her food quietly and glanced at the clock. " I think I'll be heading home soon."
smiles in response, " It's getting late. Besides, I thought you would be spending the night with your wife." She packed up the leftovers for Dorthe.
nods a little. "Ja, that's true..."
glances over to him, " What's wrong? You're usually the one to quickly usher me out whenever I mention that it's late."
shrugs. "It's just been a while since we've had some time together."
pats his shoulder after she was done cleaning up. " It's not like I'm going to dissappear or anything."
still wasn't too sure of that.
thought for a bit before taking off the ribbon in her hair and handing it to him. " Here. If this doesn't dissappear, it means that I'm okay, alright broer?" She smiled reassuringly after/
... nods and held it close.
smiles and petted the rabbit before going to get her jacket. She thought he should be more concerned about Dorthe. Elise could take care of herself after all.
concerned for the both of them.
didn't want to live with him again as she was now an independent woman but she also didn't want to be an awkward third wheel either~
didn't think she was a third wheel.
still wanted him to have his time with his wife at the very least.
wouldn't be a good sister if she was taking up all of her broer's attention.
guessed so. He held the door open for her once he cleaned up a bit.
thanks him with her typical smile, " Oh thanks. I'll come by again later in the week to see how you're doing."
nods. "I'll look forward to it. Take care."
waves before heading home. She was glad to see the her broer was doing fine at the very least.
waved back to her and headed on to find Dorhte after.
