could someone explain the alpha/beta/gamma phases thing?

Overbringer: No, it started out on an island, which was Alpha phase

Beta phase it was moved to a boat, and Gamma we'll be voting on.

COMPASS (formerly KERNOS) changes locations periodically to gain more varied data.

In RL time it's every year, in game time it's about every 6 months

I miss games like this, that have such a full on metaplot. I just had to say that.

^this. I really like the way it changes so that way it keeps things interesting. It doesn't just feel like a jamjar. There's actually stuff going on.

Yep. It gives them a sense of purpose which is what I like.

I personally think it's a really good idea.

I don't have an issue with it. I would much rather see these changes than putting a limit on the number of apps.

Yeah, I like the idea better than limiting app numbers or shorting the app cycle.
