if she dares to say she's not next time I wake her up at 5am I'm going to throw a bucket of freezing cold water over her.

I admit that her voice had sounded relatively low pitched (alto not soprano) on the podcast. Now, my hubby works from home and his phone voice can wake me up (I often sleep during the day) through my earplugs!

But that is because it is LOUD rather than any pitch-related concerns…
