Also just to tag this on here, I'm thinking about adding a new rule to hiatuses so that you have to at least give me some number of weeks you intend to be gone, if that's cool with everyone.

Whenever I'm trying to make this list and you guys have put "Until the end of vacation" or "a few weeks?" or "I don't know" then I don't know what to do with you as far as exemptions are concerned.

If you at least put "two weeks" then you're exempt and you can always shorten/lengthen it later so hey

better plan that

Speaking from personal experience, if I hiatus at all, I'm planning to be gone for AC.

So if I were in your guys' shoes, I'd probably just assume that unless someone said that they've come back from hiatus, that they're still on it when AC rolls around.

Depends on the circumstances.

Missing two weeks in a month means you don't have to do AC, but sometimes people go on extended hiatuses and miss two ACs

Well then unless they've talked to you ahead of time I'd say it's actually not possible to abuse that situation at all, though.

And if they're talking to you about extenuating circumstances anyway, they probably have a more exact time they're coming back, too.

I'm just saying that for me, it's a lot easier if you just say "2 weeks" instead of "I don't know" when you hiatus.

I like the idea of making it so people have to be more exact, don't get me wrong, I'm just pointing out that it's entirely possible that when people hiatus vaguely they mean for at least 2 weeks anyway.
