I think it is a good thing for the few groups LL invites. For the rest who will not get the discount it is a bad bad thing. Class LL. They cant even do a good thing well.

AND, it was the huge and massive adoption of homestead sims that caused their knee jerk reaction. I remember several friends who either had just got one of those or were extremely excited to get one.

This was replaced by vehement disgust and alienation of the very same people. Many of whom quit over this.

I remember this was the key moment that Bettina Tizzy, who at the time was the organized force of the virtual art world became alienated and stopped her work. The art world has never recovered from it.
