[Event] sat outside, finishing off another pack of cigarettes.
plopped her cat on his head as she passed by. " Schrödinger has no where to live. Can you keep her in your dorm?" A casual question really.
hissed and pulled the cat off his head, putting it beside him. "Why should I?"
sat down next to the cat as it pawed at him, " Because I trust you enough and I'm not allowed to keep pets in my dorm."
huffs. "I'm not good with animals. Besides, I'm not in my dorm enough to give it attention."
nods, " It's fine, I can visit and you can just leave the window open enough for her to roam and as long as there's accessible food, she can take care of herself."
huffs again. "I don't want you visiting."
blinks at that and nods. " Then I won't. Simple as that."
nods. "So the cat shouldn't be with me."
nods again. " Then she'll live in the office."
nodded, find with that as he tossed his cig away.
wrinkles her nose, " You've been smoking more lately." She pointed out.
nods. "What about it?"
shrugs, " It's taking up too much of the time we could have spent on the project. Day in, day out. All you do is smoke. I'm beginning to lost my respect for you."
shrugs. "Then lose it already."
raised a brow. " Then as of today, all your projects have been hereby suspended until further notice. Your new project is to take care of Schrödinger and have a nice vacation." She pet the cat after.
scrunched his face a bit and looked to her. "You don't have that authority. And I'm not taking care of a cat."
hands him a letter with the dean's stamp on it. " Orders are orders. There's even your supervisor's signature."
ripped it up before heading to his dorm.
seemed quite confused by that reaction but sighed and followed after picking up the scraps of paper.
Netherlands
was
just giving up on everything now. First his family was taken from him, now his work. He didn't know how a student could get that much authority over a TA.
puts the scraps in his hands once she caught up to him. " I was actually kidding earlier but you didn't even give me time to explain."
let them fall again. "What then, you enjoy seeing me break down?"
shook her head, " Nej. I wanted to give you a break but you seem to accuse me as if I intended to do ill. In truth, I'm going to resign from the project we've been working."
sighs. "Why?"
smiles faintly to lighten the situation, " My grandfather passed away."
wondered how that would lighten the situation.
nods, " There's a lot of things to do and I'm sure you'll be able to find someone to replace me, ja?"
shrugged as he got to his dorm. "I doubt it. I'll just do it on my own again."
shakes her head, " You're in charge of hiring another person or your project will really be put on halt."
huffs. "No one else is touching it. I didn't want help in the first place, so I won't go looking for it now."
blinks and nods slowly. " I guess that makes sense. Then again I still have to thank you for helping me out when I needed it."
"When did I help?"
blinks as she thought about it. She couldn't recall actually but it felt like he did. "...You're probably right on that too."
nods. "Exactly."
ran a hand through her hair. " Then I guess, thank you for your mentorship. You probably still hate me or something like that but it was a good learning experience either way._
_ Tell Elise that I'll be out of the country for me since my flight is tonight." She couldn't recall that she spilled the beans to him.
shrugs. "You'll have to tell her yourself."
shook her head, " She's told me that she's busy tonight and you're her brother too." She paused for a minute, handing him a heavy folder filled to the brim. " Right. I almost forgot about this. I did _
_hear you say that you wanted to work alone, so I went and did all the calculations and pre-testing phase stuff. You're free to build accordingly but if you ever get stuck, everything should be here."
"She's not my sister anymore." He took the folder and nodded before going to open his door. "Okay."
blinks at what he said. " What do you mean by that...?"
tossed the folder on a table. "I mean what it sounds like."
furrowed her brows as she followed. " You can't be serious. She's your only sister..."
shrugs as he went to close the door, trying to leave her out.
still managed to get into the place thanks to her cat. " Your sister has always been the most important person to you. You can't just say abruptly that she isn't your sister anymore."
sighs. "How do you know that?"
sighs, " I grew up with you guys when you were younger."
shrugs. "Well, things change. Now you can go."
shook her head, " Things don't just in the blink of an eye. Even after you've lost your memory, you're always worried about her. So quit lying."
hums. "Maybe that's the answer."
growled and out right slapped him in the face as hard as she could muster. " You have no right to say that."
hissed and glared at her. "What was that for?!"
met his glare with her own as she slapped him again with the same amount of strength. " Putting some sense into you."
growled as he rubbed his cheeks. "That won't do anything but annoy me."
paused and kicked him in the groin to prove her point. " Never say something like that ever again. You only have one sister in this_
_ whole world. If you really lose her, you're going to be guilty of it for the rest of your life because of what you've done."
hissed and fell back, hitting his head on the edge of a table, not really hearing what she heard after.
blinked, not expecting for that to happen and rushed over to him. " Hey! You alright?" She sighed, " And did you hear what I said?"
groaned quietly and covered his eyes with his arm, the light seemingly too bright to him. "Don't be so loud..."
frowns, " I'm using my indoor voice you know." She helped him sit up and get some ice for his head after.
winced and held his head, now having a giant headache.
pressed the ice pack she had retrieved and pressed it lightly against where he hit his head. " This might help reduce the swelling."
hissed quietly. "It's cold and it hurts."
sighs, " You kind of deserved that for talking back to me. Now, hold still." She continued to treat it until the swelling went down.
hissed as she worked. "It's my right to talk."
growls, " But it's not if you're saying stupid things that will earn you a kick in the groin."
huffs. "I didn't deserve that."
pressed the ice a bit harder against the bump on his head. " At least don't do something you'll regret for the rest of your life. Like I said before, you only have just one sister."
nods. "So? She'll be fine on her own without me."
scowls, " You can't just say that she isn't your sister anymore. Listen to me, if anything happens to her and you're not there for her when you should have, it's going to guilt you for the rest of your life."
shakes his head. "She won't need me anymore. She's got her own life and she'll do fine."
sighs, " But you seem to be the type to need someone to get you out of this rut at the very least. I'm not voting myself because you hate me and I'm not visually appealing obviously."
thought she was pretty self discriminating. "I'll be fine."
didn't really care seeing that she always wore a bulky coat or sweater and never tried to be more appealing to other males seeing it was the Engineering department. " You're not fine obviously."
nods as he tried to get up, but the moment he moved he got dizzy and fell back down.
huffs as she supported him and just helped him to his bed, " See what I mean? Jeez..."
had to keep his eyes closed so he couldn't be disoriented from his surroundings. "It's only because I hit my head..." He did have a huge headache now though.
rolls her eyes, " Rest up for a bit then. It's still pretty early in the day and you don't have work." She helped him lie down before getting some water for him.
groaned as he lied down, rubbing his head lightly. He hated this.
brought some water back for him as she sighed. " I didn't see you make that big of a fall."
nods. "I know, but it still hurts..."
shrugs, " I don't know, maybe sleep it off or something. You probably smoked too much or something."
sighed and closed his eyes tightly. "I didn't smoke too much."
put a plush on his face. " You smoke enough to reek of it lately. Now shut up and sleep."
made a sound and moved the plush to be beside him. "It's not that bad..."
rolls her eyes again, " It's bad enough for you to start complaining like a child."
huffs. "You can go..."
raises a brow, " And have you accidentally kill yourself and have someone blame it on me, no thanks."
sighs. "I won't kill myself. And I doubt anyone could blame you if I did die."
shrugs, " Just shut up and sleep already."
huffs. "I can't. My head hurts."
sighs as she reached over from her seat, covered his eye with her hand. " Try now."
frowned a bit, finding it helped a little. He did feel more calm, but he didn't know if it was because of this or the fact it reminded him of when others would cover his eyes when he tried to remember things.
Dorthe
was
the only one that had actually did that before. She sighed again and waited for him to fall asleep.
started to relax more, but didn't fully sleep. He did feel better though.
glanced at the time as she waited and then pulled her hand away from his face. She spaced out and just waited.
turned his head to the side, breathing calmly with much less of a headache. "My head still hurts..."
frowns, " I'll get some medication for you then." She got up and went to the medicine cabinet to find it.
sighs. "It's more of a pain than headache though.'
came back with pain killers and some more water. " It'll at least put the pain at bay."
sat up a bit to take the meds and water, sighing after. "It'll be hard to sleep...
handed him the medicine and the glass of water once she sat down. " These should be good enough to get you sleepy/"
frowns. "I hope so. But I can't promise it'll work..."
sighs, " What can you suggest that will work then?"
shrugs. "I don't know... when I have trouble sleeping I normally just work... but I don't think I could with my head like this."
thought for a bit, " What if I told you a story? Would that help?"
shrugs. "You could try..."
thought for a bit before retelling the story of the Ice-Maiden from her favourite author.
listened to her quietly.
took her time explaining everything in detail as she retold the story. She thought the story was an interesting one really.
thought it was too, too interesting to sleep.
ended eventually, finding the ending to be the most intriguing part of the story. She looked over to him after, wondering if he had fallen asleep yet.
hadn't. He was looking at her, expecting another story.
scratched her head, " I expected one would usually suffice but I guess I can tell another. How about the Tinderbox?"
nods. "Ja."
started to retell that after she had gotten a glass of water for herself. She tried to be as detailed as she could from remembering the story from the top of her head.
thought these really too interesting to sleep...
wondered if they at least took his mind away from his head ache.
did. He couldn't think of it since he was entertained by her stories.

was
glad about that and did her best to take his mind off of it as she told the story in as much detail as she could. She finished the story eventually and glanced over to him. " Feeling better now?"
nodded. "Ja... I feel great, actually."
smiles as she got up. " Then I'll be taking my leave."
frowns. "You're not scared of me killing myself anymore?"
laughs at that, " If I was really scared I would have left already in the first place"
nods a bit. "Ah.... well, dank u."
raises a brow. " What are you even thanking me for? I was the one who kicked you in the groin in the first place."
nods. "Ja... that's... true." He didn't know why he thanked her to begin with really.
smirks, " Better yet. You should just hate me instead like the usual."
sighs. "Shut up about that. When did I say I hate you recently?"
shrugs, " You always seem that way. What other conclusion can I come up with? I highly doubt you'll even like someone like me in the first place."
shrugs. "I have no reason to hate you.."
sighs, " You have plenty of reason to and I even have a feeling that I've said something I shouldn't from how Elise acts around me now."
"Why?"
ran a hand through her hair. " Like I said in the past, I'm not someone you should remember."
rolled his eyes a bit. "Whichever..."
sighs, " I'm just saying that you should just hate me cause it makes things easier. Alright?"
"How does it make things easier?"
shrugs as she started to head to the door, " Well I have a feeling I screwed up the relationship between you and your sister. "
shrugs. "I did it myself..."
shook her head, " Either way, just apologize to her for me. She's been having it rough lately and she really needs someone to depend on. Her relationship with her boyfriend is actually quite rocky..."
shrugs. "She'll be fine. Besides, I'm not talking to her. So send her a note or something."
flicks this forehead. " If I see her in any danger and you're not there to help her when she needs it, I'm kicking your ass."
huffs. "You're leaving anyways. And she has the creature to depend on.'
rolls her eyes, " My grandfather remembers you and your sister well and he decided to put you two in his will because of a reckless promise you made."
sighs. "And what is?"
shrugs, " You get his fortune if you solve a problem he made.."
sighs. "Really. How great."
shrugs again, " It's actually the project you've been working on."
frowns. "I see..."
nods, " If you want it. You can claim it. I have no interest in my grandfather's fortune."
shrugs. "what would I do with it? My only plan was to bring my sister and I back home."
smiles, " Whatever you want then. If need be I can even prepare the villa in your home town if you need to live somewhere."
sighs. "There's no point... she's not my sister any more."
shook her head, " You're lying to yourself about that."
shakes his head. "She has someone else now." He couldn't even look at her the same.
sighs, " Maybe I am right about that fact that you might need someone else to."
huffs. "Why would I need someone else?"
shakes her head, " You just seem to be the type." She paused after. " If you're feeling better I can even take you to a good bar and drinks would be on me."
sighs. "You know I don't drink much. And how fun could a bar be?"
nods, " You don't have to drink a lot. You can enjoy the sights there instead."
"What sights are there?"
hums, " Good looking women. Well, most of the time."
sighs. "I don't know if it's smart to go with a head injury.
chuckles, " You'll be fine. If anything happens, I'll be responsible for it."
sighs. "Would it some my head from hurting again?"
nods, " It's also good for helping with sleep and such. Now come on, you seem fine enough if you can listen through two stories."
huffed and got up. "Fine..."
cleaned up to be polite and waited by the door. Her cat seemed to want to stay in his dorm.
guessed it could, for now. He got ready before walking to the door, feeling a little uneasy balance wise still.
reached out and steadied him as she stayed beside him. " If you really don't feel well, lean on me."
huffs. "I'll be fine..." He was pretty okay as they left the room.
shrugs and lead the way to a good bar that wasn't too far away from his dorm.
kept close to her, just to be safe.
opened the door and waved to the barkeep. There was plenty of people, some from the school while others were off from work. She went to talk to the barkeep after.
followed her, not use to these surroundings.
ordered the drinks before heading to a booth. " This way. It'll be better to sit somewhere comfortable."
nodded and just kept following her, not sure of what to do even.
sat him down at the table and sat down next to him. " Still alive there?"
nods as he looked around. "Is this what people do to waste money?"
shakes her head, " It's a not a waste when it brings joy to someone." She pushed a glass of beer to him when it arrived before sipped from her own.
sipped it lightly, not use to this atmosphere at all.
hummed and just enjoyed the surroundings. " It's calm and relaxed here really. If you want to go sight seeing, there are a few girls here."
shrugs as he looked around. "Doesn't seem that good..."
rolls her eyes, " Maybe your expectations are too high."
shakes his head. "I just have nothing in mind."
raised a brow, " Don't tell me you're a virgin or something."
shakes his head. "I'm not."
stared at him. " Wow I didn't expect you to tell me straight up. Well, being fair as it is, I'm still one." She shrugs nonchalantly and continued to drink.
shrugs. "Nothing wrong with that at least."
snorts, " I guess I'm just not really interested in that sort of stuff when I prefer solving equations and building things."
nods. "That's like me... school before anything else."
sipped her beer with a nod. " It sounds odd since Elise told me that you used to be such a player and suddenly changed one day."
"I wasn't that much of a player. Her imagination got the better of her."
raised a brow, " It was still weird whenever she pointed out that you were courting another woman whenever we saw you from far away."
sighs. "They wanted company. And it's a fault of mine to listen to people."
blinks at that before laughing, " How is such a useful trait a fault? One thing that makes women happy is being listened to."
huffs. "It makes me weak."
shakes her head, " Nej. The weak ones are the ones who would never go out of their way to do that."
shrugs. "I don't want to do it anymore."
nods and sipped at her glass of beer. " Why is that if I may so ask?"
shrugs again. "I just don't ike it..."
chuckles, " Good enough explanation for me." She ordered some more beer after seeing that she had finished her own glass.

still on his first, not even half finished.
saw it more as a leisurely activity. " So, see anyone you would like to talk to?"
shakes his head as he kept looking at his glass.
undid the buttons of her thick coat and pulled it off so she she could relax better. " Sounds about right."
sipped a little at his drink.
sighed as things drew quiet. " I'm going to miss this place and the rest of the school."
shrugs. "It happens."
nods, " Ja and the people here. You're included unfortuantely."
"I see." He wasn't much of a social person.
nudged him with her elbow lightly. " Take it as a compliment. You deserve it." She smirks and drank some more after.
huffs and shifted away. "Why?"
shrugs, " You just seem like someone who hasn't earned the right praise they wanted."
shrugs. "I don't deserve it."
looks to him, " Why is that?"
"Why should I?"
blinks, " You really don't like nice compliments do you?"
shakes his head.
raised a brow, " And you don't like criticism, ja?"
nods.
sighs, " Then what do you like?"
"Nothing."
looked at her glass of beer after. " You sound like an empty person. Nothing to seek or want. It's sad in a way."
sighs. "I'm living fine by it."
shrugs, " It doesn't seem like you'll ever go anywhere with that mentality though."
shrugs. "Not like I have anywhere to go."
raised a brow, " What about your home?"
sighs. "I don't care anymore..."
shrugs, " You should though."
"Why?"
frowns, " Because you will always be mediocre if you have nothing to strive for."
shrugs. "Fine by me."
looked at him funny, " Did you hit your head a bit too hard by any chance because you're starting to sound weird."

chuckles, " If you have nothing to strive for, what would be the purpose of living? You're born into this world, given an opportunity. Why let that go to waste with what little time we have here?"
"Everything I worked for now is pointless though."
snorts, " Why is that? If you think that you're the cause of your sister's divergence then you're wrong. She's grown to be a fine woman and you should be proud of that."
sighs. "She just doens't feel like my sister anymore. We were to work together to get a place back at home, so we could be close to family. I would focus on getting a shop to sell things, and she'd be able to
do whatever she wanted. But that's gone now."
ordered another beer to sip on. " Why not continue with that then? You almost seem like you were infatuated with Elise."
shakes his head. "I just wanted her to be happy. But apparently I've ran her life for her. Now that she has a her 'friend', she'll forget about our plans. Not like it mattered, really."
looks to him as she leans slightly closer to examine him. " But isn't she happy now? The fact that you say our plans shows that you did like her more than just a sister."
huffs and glares at her. "We were nothing more then siblings. I never saw her as anything else besides my sister."
raised a brow, " If that is the case, why are you so upset then?"
sighs. "Because the plans are pointless."
leans even closer with a smirk, " They aren't pointless if you can always alter them for yourself."
sighs. "Like how?"
smirks, " You said you wanted to work together to get a place back at your home, ja? I can get that arranged for you, including the shop if you want to manage."
shakes his head. "We were to do it ourselves. Just us. Not have things handed to us on a silver platter. We were to work for it, and struggle with it together."
thought for a bit, " Well then why don't you see a partner to help you with that then?"
shrugs. "I don't have a partner."
hums, " I can be one if you don't mind me."
rolls his eyes. "You're leaving."
shrugs, " What else do you think I'll do once I get back to my home? Drink all day and try to lose my virginity. Obviously not."
shrugs. "I'm not leaving here though. I may as well finish this project, even if it runs me into the ground."
raises a brow, " So you plan on doing something suicidal regardless of what someone wants to offer you without anything in return?"
shrugs as he finally finished a beer.
bursted out on sheer laughter at that response. " Honestly, you're one interesting man to refuse an offer from someone that has a high social status."
huffed and kept quiet, not liking being laughed at.
ordered another beer for him. " Come closer for a sec. I need to confirm something." She made a gesture with her hand and beckoned him closer.
narrowed his eyes at her. "Why?"
smiles knowingly, " Just an experiment on a theory I have."
stayed where he was.
leans over and stared right at his eyes, curious in what she would find. She seemed to be searching for something, looking for his soul perhaps.
made a sound and leaned as far back as he could. She was in his space.
didn't seem to care as she continued to peer straight into his eyes. " There has been one question I've been meaning to ask of you."
huffs. "And that is?"
drew quiet as she watched him. " If I asked you to be my boyfriend, would you do it?" She had an amused look on her face as she already knew the answer.
glares. "Why?"
leaned away after, with a coy smile as she finished her beer. " I was curious."
"If you would listen to me, I would have considered it."
laughs, content she asked that question finally. " I'm sure you're more then aware that I would be the last person to ever listen to you. What's the point in a relationship_

glared before getting up and heading for the door.
sipped her beer and rested her back against the seat. " Farvel Nikolaas. It's been a pleasure meeting you." She decided to not go after him, seeing that there wasn't any point.
didn't think there was a point to stay if he was just being insulted over and over again. And he just didn't like when he kept telling her not to do something but she did it anyways. He was fed up with life.
knew they wouldn't ever get along considering their conflicting views. She found that he took everything too seriously and hoped at the very least he wouldn't do something he shouldn't.
couldn't promise anything. He just went to his dorm and locked himself inside.
paid for her tab and went back to her dorm for the last bits of clean up she had to do. Her cat on the other hand pawed at his leg seeing it stayed in his dorm.
mumbled when he remembered that and just went to lie down on the bed without eating. He couldn't be bothered cooking tonight.
's cat curled up close to him, nudging him lightly to keep him company.

glad for that. He didn't even know what to do with his life anymore.
|Schrödinger observed him for a bit before returning with a small, neatly wrapped box. The cat pushed it to him, pawing at it since she wanted him to open it.
tried to ignore the cat.
|The cat gently pawed at the box again with a soft mew and push it toward him some more.
sighs. "What?"
|The cat meowed again in the same fashion and looking hopeful as she wanted him to open it.
sighed and opened the damn box.
|The cat push the box to him again after. There were pastries and sweets in them and even a sandwich. The contraption of the box held a lot more than it looked.
sighed and ate a bit.
|The cat seemed pleased as it stretched and pushed the letter that the box had with it to him after.
went to read it, not even knowing when all this came in.
|The cat just purred happily as it rested and watched. The letter was from the Dane actually though the signature was stated it was anonymous. It simply told him to find a new path where he would be happier.
doubted he could be happy. He tossed the letter aside and continued eating.
|The cat leaped off the bed and put the letter back in front of him, turning the letter onto its back. The real message was in the form of several theories and equations
just stared at it.
|Schrödinger nudged it to him as if it wanted him to solve it.
just looked it over lightly.
|The cat curled up in a ball, waiting for him to figure out the answer.
figured it out soon enough and tossed it away again.
|The cat went to retrieve it again and came back with it. It just pawed at him to put down the answer to get the right message.
huffs, writing it down.
's cat watched and then ripped it up in a systematic way in to a few pieces where the numbers redirected how the message was really suppose to be.
wondered how many messages were in this letter.
|The cat pawed at him to read it again. It gave him the coordinates to a place stating that his sister might be in trouble but she couldn't confirm it.
didn't see how she could know in advance.
Dorthe
was
often concerned about this friend of Elise's that came out of nowhere. The cat just pawed at him, wanting a snack now.
broke off some pastry bit for it.
|Schrödinger went over and ate it, purring happily and even licking the flakes off his hand. It glanced over at the message, wondering what he would do.
doubted he'd do anything. It was a message from a know it all.
|The cat perked up when it heard the sound of a phone. It seemed to be from Elise.
sighed and picked up his cell, looking.
's cat nudged him to answer it as it seemed to know that something was wrong.
sighed and did answer it.
's voice was the one to be heard as she was panting through the mic. " ...They took her. I don't know why but they have your sister."
raises his brow. "Why and who?"
tried to not sound like she was in pain as she spoke. " Her boyfriend and I don't have time to explain. Go to the address that's in the letter-" She was cut off from the sound of broken glass.
sighed and headed to the address.
just hoped he would get there in time....
made his way there, not sure even what was going on or why.
would explain if she ever could. The place was a small pub but there were sounds of struggle and fighting in the alleyway nearby it. The cat who had followed him just mewed at that direction.
followed the cat, since it was obviously supernatural.
's cat went over and pawed at something that was being covered by the Dane's characteristic thick coat. It seemed to be a person.
went to check it out.
|Schrödinger pawed at the coat to reveal Elise who was a little scratched up and asleep. She seemed to have been drugged but safe at the very least.
thought she was just passed out. He shook his head as he picked her up and started bringing her back to her dorm
|The cat peered down the dark alleyway where the sounds continued. It didn't flinch when there were sounds of gunshots.
flinched when he heard that and put Elise down around the corner before calling the cops.
's cat went over, nudged his sister who seemed to stir slowly.
held her head as she felt something warm. She blinked to see the cat, " Where am I?"
"Passed out in an alley."
jumped a bit but she was a bit relieved to see him. " Did you see Dorthe by any chance?"
shakes his head. "She was leaving to fly back home. She said she'd not see you again."
looks at him weirdly. " But I saw her earlier when she told me to stay here. The weird thing was that her flight was late in the afternoon, closer to the evening."
shrugs. "She said she'd be gone."
nods as she put a hand in her pockets searching for her phone and looks at the coat. " I can't find my phone and why is her coat here..."
shrugs. "I don't know. But you should get up and head back to your room. The cops will be here soon."
frowns, " Do you mind if I just stay at your dorm instead broer? It's closer."
sighed. "Fine."
had a nagging feeling as she picked up Dorthe's coat and starting heading back. All she could remember was getting into a fight with her boyfriend.
handed her the key before she started walking.
blinks at that as she looked at him, " Are you not coming home as well?" She had stopped in her tracks as the cat continued to peer down the alleyway where the sounds came from.
shakes his head. "I heard a shot or something, and the cops will be here soon. I should tell them what I heard. Then I'll be going to the office."
nods, " Okay...but take care. It's still dangerous here." She headed off after, worried about him and the missing Dane. The cat looked to him before heading deeper into the alleyway.
followed the cat idly.
's cat hissed as it came to a stop. Though there was not a lot of lighting, there were a few bodies on the ground and the sound of someone being choked nearby.
went to check it out.
clawed at Elise's so called friend as she was being choked while the male was going to humiliate her in the worst possible way. The male kept hurling insults at her for ruining his plan just like in the past.
got closer before kicking him off of her.
coughed and sputtered when she hit the ground. The other male seemed quite pissed off and went about throwing insults at him and arming himself with his gun again.
just stood between them, not intimidated by the threats or guns.
stared at him, surprised to even seen the Dutchman there. " Why are you still here?!"
huffs. "My sister was here."
huffs back at him, " You should have left with her then!" She tackled him down when the other male started to fire his gun. " Idiot!"
hissed at her before going for the male, taking him down and putting his hands around his neck.
stared before getting the gun and disarming it. " Just don't kill him." She huffs as the culprit kept spewing crap about how they owed him a fortune.
put more pressure on the veins in his neck, knowing that was the quickest way to make someone pass out without killing them. Well, most of the time.
Dorthe
has
to stop him since the guy was foaming in the mouth and screaming in a more livid way. She stopped him right before the guy passed out. " You were going to kill him weren't you..."
shakes his head. "Not with intention."
huffs as she let go of his wrist. " Don't do that ever again. Some people still need you." She got up slowly after, a little cut up as her arm was bleeding. The police had arrived to apprehend the male.
just glared at him. He was just protecting himself, and his sister. And he guessed the Dane. He felt some pain in his shoulder but just assumed it was from her tackling him down.
rubbed her neck as it was still sore from what happened earlier. She just gave her statement and looked over to him after. " I'm just glad you decided to trust my message."
gave his report as well, before shrugging. "Your cat wouldn't give me peace."
looked down at the cat that was rubbing itself against his leg. " She is a peculiar cat that never listens to what I say. Maybe she likes you."
shrugs. "You should go to my dorm. My sister is there, and it's close."
watched as the police made sure they were okay before they left. "...I'll do that since you gave me a suggestion." She was actually listening to him for once.
Netherlands
was
more so doing it so Elise wouldn't be alone. He nodded and headed to the office after, tired and aching.
called after him before he could leave. " Where are you going? Your sister needs you."
held his head a bit. "I'm tired... she's in my room... she should be okay..."
grabbed his wrist lightly as she pulled him back. " She had been practically screaming for you the entire time when she was kidnapped." She winced, trying to not show that the arm she used was injured.
sighs. "Maybe it'll teach her to not be kidnapped again..." He wasn't thinking clearly much now.
huffs, " They were going to kill her if you didn't show up."
frowned and sighed, deciding to give in and head back to his dorm.
shook her head as she was starting to get dizzy from her injured arm. She let go of his hand, leaving a bit of blood on it as she walked ahead.
sighed when he saw that. "You should get your arm checked."
looks at her arm, " I guess but after we make sure your sister is okay." She continued walking after.
nodded as he walked slowly behind her.
seemed wobbly but made it to the door. She had lost a bit of blood by then and could barely stay awake.
helped her to his room before knocking on the door.
opened the door slowly before helping him out. " You're okay!" Elise seemed relieved as she helped the Dane onto the couch.
just went to make some tea and find some medicine.
nods as she went out of her way to make sure his sister was okay.

went to help patch up the Dane's wounds before going to help her broer. She was glad that they seemed safe. " Broer, you're bleeding from your shoulder." She pointed out, shocked to find that now.
sighs. "No I'm not. It's just sore..." He poured himself his tea, mixing in the sugar and milk.
puts a hand on his shoulder to stop the bleeding. " YOu have a bullet wound, idiot."
hissed as he stepped away. "Don't do that, it hurts." He didn't feel as much pain as he probably should of, since of his adrenaline rush.
seemed even more worried from his response, " I think you should go to the hospital. It looks really bad."
shakes his head as he slowly drank his tea. "I don't like hospitals..." Never since he was a kid.
sighs, " So you plan on keeping a bullet in your body and getting infected until they have to amputate your arm?"
shakes his head faintly.
smiles after, " Then go get it treated. Your life is more important."
just went to find a dulled knife. He would do all he could to not go to a hospital.
saw what he was attempting and ushered Elise to go rest in the bedroom. " If anything bad comes out of this, you're going to the hospital." She went to get some proper tools to help him.
huffed. "Then you better hope I'm unconscious." He was not going to go there willingly.
sat him down on a stool as she prepared the tools and put a beer beside him, " I'll make sure of it. Now take off your shirt and stay quiet, you don't want to alert your sister now of all times."
huffed as he took off his shirt and held out his hand. "I could do this myself, you know."
flicked his head lightly, " I'll rather you didn't screw up your arm." Her cat curled up in his lap wanting attention in the meantime.
huffed and glared at her before petting the cat idly. He kept his eyes on the wound though so he could watch her.
cleaned the wound carefully, " Say, want to guess what's my breast size?"
... looked at her. "Why?"
used the tweezers to extract bullet out of the wound the moment he was distracted. " Just wondering." She shrugs, smirking after her task was accomplished.
hissed at that and winched, but didn't make any loud sounds to distract his sister. He looked at the wound after, watching the blood flow out.
cleaned it accordingly and patched it up to ensure there would be no infection. She shook her head after and handed the beer to him after cleaning up, " I'm amazed you didn't need anything for the pain."
just looked at the beer before putting it down. "I have a high pain tolerance."
cleaned up before handing him his shirt once his arm was cleaned and bandaged. " That's a good thing in a way."
put his shirt on slowly, being careful with his arm. "It's helped in the past." He handed her the beer after.
shrugs and took the beer, " I can tell." She opened the beer and took a sip after. " I still don't understand why you didn't just head straight home with Elise after you found her."
sighs as he rubbed his arm. "I had to wait for the police to give my statement."
wrinkles her nose as she was about to give another remark he would find insulting but the cat curled around his shoulders. " If you say so." She went to check on Elise after.
hissed a bit and kept the cat off his injured shoulder before getting up to check on her as well.
sighs as she was glad Elise was asleep. She fixed the blanket for her. She motioned him to stay quiet before leaving the room again after.
watched her from a far, sighing quietly. He was secretly glad she was safe.
sat down on the couch after, feeling the adrenaline die down as she folded her hands together. She was shaking for the entire ordeal really.
just leaned against the wall, running a hand through his hair.
sighed as she glanced over to him. " I still owe you one for saving my life by the way."
shrugs. "A male has no right to take advantage of a woman..."
smiles, " That male in particular without a doubt. If I recall right, he was the same kid from years ago."
huffs, almost hoping he had killed him now.
nods at that response, " He's behind bars for life. It's better to kill someone with a borrowed knife."
sighs. "As long as he never touches me or anyone I know he'll live."
smirks faintly, " What if I say that he's probably on death row for the other crimes he's committed."
nods. "Even better..."
closed her eyes after, " Ja."
started to feel a little tired all of a sudden, making him lean more against the wall.
didn't noticed but her cat nudged him toward the couch, telling him to rest in a way.
made a quiet sound and just stepped a bit closer to the couch so he could lean on it.
heard the sound and reached out pulling him down to the couch. She might have use a bit too much force when she took hold of his uninjured arm.
fell down easily enough, but braced himself with his other arm so he didn't face plant into the cushions or her.
caught him with her arms when she realized her mistake. " You're a little heavier than you look." She teased lightly and adjusted him to rest on her lap. ' Just sleep and consider this payback for saving me.'
mumbled and weakly tried to push himself up. "I'm... I'll be fine..."
reached over and just covered his eyes as her cat sprawled on him. " You've had a rough day. Just listen to me for once."
frowned but once his eyes were covered he relaxed. It was the easiest way to get him to cooperate.
smiles faintly as she hummed a soft lullaby for him as she was starting to grow tired herself.
rested a hand on her leg for comfort as he started to fall asleep.
smiles more as she finished her lullaby eventually. Being fixated on him for a while did tire her out as she fell asleep not long after. She didn't make a single complaint about what he did seeing she owed him.
couldn't help but fall asleep on her. The adrenaline had finally stopped and he just wanted to sleep.
hadn't noticed her exhaustion had led her to fall asleep with her miffy doll or something to cover herself from the claustrophobia she always had.
would probably be in pain tomorrow, but right now he couldn't care less.
just knew her legs were going to be numb the following day. She continued to sleep in the meantime.
didn't mean to be a pain for her, this time.
didn't mind but she woke up early in the morning out of habit. She had the cat get her some pain medication knowing he was going to be in a lot of pain when he woke up.

a little more curled up, nuzzling into her.
blushed but kept as quiet as she could to not wake him up. She tried to get the cat to get water but it decided to ignore her. She looked at the medication and then at him, debating on what to do.
started to wake up, wincing quietly as his hand went to his shoulder.
took no chances as she covered his eyes and just fed him by mouth. She wasn't sure why she did that but didn't want want to see him suffer.
made a sound at that and slowly sat up, keeping his eyes shut.
looked away nervously as she had just realized that he was awake. "...Sorry."
shakes his head a bit. "S'fine..." His head killed.
sighed, " You should rest more until the medication takes effect."
sighs and lean against the couch. "My head and arm hurt..."
nods, " It should be better in a bit."
groaned quietly. "How's my sister...?"
nods over to the room. " Still asleep."
sighs. "You sure?"
nods as the cat open the door somehow and Elise was on the bed in her sleeping form. " Why would I be lying to you?"
shrugs as he hissed and got up to check. He was worried she'd somehow be kidnapped again.
helped stable him as she followed. Elise was still there, sleeping peacefully like nothing happened.
sighs, thankful for that. He felt a tiny bit better.
looks over to him, " That does mean that she'll still your sister after all, ja?" She asked quietly.
sighs. "I guess..."
smiles at that. She pressed a light kiss on his cheek before getting her coat to leave. " That's my cue to leave then."
rubbed his cheek. "Nee."
stopped in her tracks as she stopped just by the door. " Hm? What do you mean?"
sighs. "Elis'll need someone to go to for a while, and I need to finish this project."
frowns, " As much as I want to stay to help, I can't. She needs you more than me, ja?"
shrugs. "You're also hurt and shouldn't be doing much."
smiles faintly, somewhat surprised to hear that he was actually concerned for her. " Ja, I know but I still have a funeral to attend to and a family business to take over."
sighs. "Fine. If you insist."
went up to him as she searched her coat pocket. " There's nothing I can do with predetermined things. My relatives just think I'm fooling around right now." She handed him a small box after.
raises his brow. "What's this?"
shrugs, " Consider it a gift." She smirks and went to the door after. The cat just climbed onto his uninjured shoulder, pawing at the box.
just opened it, knowing the cat wouldn't let him be otherwise.
put her coat on as she watched. The box contained a set of cufflinks with a miffy design on them. Underneath was a phone number and_
_ a set of plane tickets. " I won't ask you in person but the decision is up to you if you still wish to pursue your goal." She winced as she hadn't really treated her arm the entire night.
sighs. "I need to finish the project..."
shrugs, " What if I said I could get that taken care of where you would be in a position where you could finish it and still reach your goal?"
... nods faintly.
smirks, " I'll see you in your hometown tomorrow then."
nodded again. "Think Elise will be able to travel then?"
smiles, " It's a private jet after all and I'll be there as well at the airport."
looked over to her and nodded. "What about her classes and that?"
raised a brow, " It's Spring Break already."
nods. "Ja, but she was telling me she was going to take some extra classes..."
raised a brow, " Spring break is only a week. She mentioned about taking classes in the summer."
nodded at that. "I didn't know..."
leaned against the couch beside her. " I told you that it's your choice. Besides, if you really think that there's no point, you can reject my offer. No questions asked."
sighed as he sat down. "I need time to think..."
nods as she held her arm, not sure why she was feeling so light headed now. She didn't seemed to notice her arm started to bleed again and drip onto the floor.
sighs. "You're bleeding."
blinks as she laughed it off. " Ja?" She paled a bit more when she saw the blood on the ground. " I think I might need to sleep for a bit.." She collapsed into the couch, clearly disorientated by now.
nods and went to fix up her arm.
fell into a light sleep without another word. She had planned on leaving to deal with other things but she wasn't feeling that great now and didn't budge seeing the cat was sitting on her.
figured as much and got her fixed up before making more tea.
continued to rest while the cat went to bother him instead.
just pet it as he waited for the water to boil.
's cat was quite content with the attention before it scampered away to Elise that was waking up.
poured some mugs of tea before bringing one to her.
stretched and yawned before smiling at the cat and petting it. She didn't know how long she had slept but she felt good.

glad she felt good. He put her tea on the nightstand beside her.
smiles when she saw that. " Oh good morning broer. I didn't expect you to be awake so early again." She smiled, glad he didn't leave her again.
nods. "I couldn't sleep anymore..."
nods, " You still have bed hair. Oh, how's your arm doing? Did you get it checked out at the hospital?"
shakes his head. "Dorthe helped me fix it. But it's pretty much numb."
blinks at that, " Are you sure you're going to be okay then?" She sounded worried as she climbed out of the bed to see it better.
kept it away from her. "Ja, I'll be fine."
nods before taking her tea to sip on. " What about Dorthe then? Did she head home?"
shakes his head. "She's sleeping on the couch..."
frowns, " That's good to hear. She was drugged up pretty badly in my place..."
raises his brow. "really?"
nods quietly, " Ja. She tricked the people into thinking that she was me so they would let me go. She might be tolerant but its still dangerous."

nods at that. "I see. Why did they want to drug you?"
thought for a bit. " They said something about signing a contract and such. Apparently there's a fortune under our name my ex-boyfriend wanted."
huffs. "We've worked hard for everything..."
shook her head, " He apparently thought we had more when he overheard Dorthe and I talking about something similar. She has a fortune under her name but her relatives are fighting over it."
nodded at that before having to sit, sipping his tea lightly.
shrugs, " I don't know why Dorthe doesn't want to keep much of it. She even suggested that I take it so I could work on making a bakery like I've always wantd to."
ran a hand through his hair. "I have no idea..."
sipped her tea. " I remember she would often play with us outside after running away from her nurse. It was kind of funny seeing her in a dirty dress covered in dirt from running through the gardens."
nods, not remembering anything.
laughs at the thought. " She was really cute as a kid, just like you were broer. She was really smart too but she never wanted to seem smart and did plenty of stupid things with us."
huffs at the cute statement. "I see."
smiles at how blunt her broer was. " She was the one who brought us the tulip seeds too."
winced as he held his head, nodding faintly.
noticed as she stopped, " Are you feeling okay there?"
shakes his head slowly. "N-nee..."
frowns, " Maybe you should rest. You seemed to get these headaches more frequently. I'll make waffles for you too."
just took deep breaths. "J-ja..." He kept sitting on the bed, not wanting to move.
went to get some water for him before going to cook in the kitchen. She wondered if her brother was really going to be okay.

went to wash up and called to him that the food was ready a while later. " Broer! The waffles are done!"

didn't noticed as she was washing up and fixing herself to look more presentable. The cat on the other hand noticed and pawed at him to rest more.
wanted to eat. He wasn't feeling well and thought food would help.
blinks when she passed by the bedroom. " Would you like breakfast in bed instead? I even made your favourite sweets to go with the waffles and you don't have to move much either."
shakes his head. "I'll be okay in the dining room..."
frowns, " Are you sure though?"

went to see how the Dane was doing while the cat just followed and nudged him.
sat down at the table, taking a long deep breath.
put a blanket on Dorthe as the Dane was still sleeping. She joined him at the table after, pouring the tea for him before eating her own food.
slowly began eating.
pet the cat and fed it some other food since she didn't want it to get sick from something it shouldn't be eating. The cat was watching the Dutchman as it ate.
kept his eyes down as he continued to eat slowly, slumping a bit over the table.
jumped a bit as she shook him lightly. " Broer!" She was really worried about him now.
made a sound and sat up a bit. "Hmm?"
sighs, " You nearly gave me a heart attack there."
frowns. "Why? I was eating..."
pouts, " I don't think normal people slump and look down when they're eating."
frowns. "... Was I doing that?"
nods as the cat pushed him away from the plate he was going to faceplant. " You were going to ruin the waffles I made."
frowns even more as he continued eating. "Sorry..."
blinks and shook her head, " There's no need to apologize. I was just joking."
finished the food a bit after, licking his lips. "Dank u..."
pushed the cup of tea to him as she watched. " I think you should take the day off. You seem really out of it, broer."
sighs. "I need to work more though..."
huffs as she cleaned up, covering Dorthe's portion for the Dane to eat later. " You're the one who taught me that one's own well being comes first. Besides the rest of the university is closed."
nods a little. "I can still get into my office..." He pushed out from the table and slowly headed to the door.
stood in his way as she looked at him. " Broer, please. You're injured. A day off during the break wouldn't hurt."
frowns and just leaned against the wall. He was too tired to fight her.
ushered him back to his bedroom. " I won't be going anywhere either. Dorthe is still out like a light too."
pretty much slumped on her, his arm numb again. "Kay.."
helped him into the bed, tucking him in after. " Just take it easy."
nods as he closed his eyes and sighed.
went to clean up the kitchen and use his computer to do some reading up on recipes and stuff.
quickly fell asleep.
stayed quiet and hoped for the best.
did too... He was hurting and not feeling well.
went to check on him once in a while and brought medication that he could take if it hurt him too much.
did wake up a few times and had to take the medicine.
refilled his glass of water whenever she passed by to check on him.
