peered over him as she was surprised to find him. She blinks as she wondered where he went for the past week and left her daily gift beside him. She wasn't really the type to give up that easily...
mumbled quietly when he noticed someone around and brought a hand up to rub his eyes.
smiles and got up after to leave him be. She started to head towards the city after, feeling hungry since she had an early breakfast.
mumbled quietly before noticing the gift. He looked around for her, huffing quietly when he noticed her in the distance.
stretched as she went to her bike, not even aware he was awake. She wondered what kind of lunch she should have today.
sighed and took the gift inside before heading to the city. He could tell she was headed there, and more so wanted to watch her. Not for security really, just out of curiosity.
quite content with the weather as she could do the things she liked. She stopped at a cafe that didn't have a lot of people but it had good food.
still curious as to why she was still trying stuff with him. Or at least that's how he saw it.
kept her bike nearby and bought something inexpensive to go. She decided the weather was too nice to be eating inside and took her food with her as she biked to a spot she liked at the park.
followed her as best he could by walking, wanting to see if she was a klutz normally or just around him.
rested her bike against a nice tall willow tree as she got to the spot she wanted to eat her food at. She squawked a little awkwardly as she nearly tripped but laughed it off as she settled down and ate.
shook his head, figuring she was a natural klutz. He just wanted to watch out for the tree.
ate her meal quietly as she relaxed. She cleaned up after she was done, pulling out a book along with her granny reading glasses. She liked to finish work in the morning so she had free time in the afternoon.
shook his head a bit as he went to do some work in the surronding area, not wanting to write off another day following her.
quietly spent her time reading and enjoying the good weather. She shifted her glasses a bit as she hear a small rustle and looked over to his direction.
doing some checking up work at some markets, seeing how their stock was and waht not.
peeks over his shoulder, " You've seem busy lately."
tensed a bit as he tried to keep focused on counting some statistics.
smiles more, noticing that he was busy. " I'll be on my way no, then." She figured he seemed busy and didn't want to distract him. She went to put her things away and head to another part of town.
sighed. "Why are you here?"
shrugs cluelessly, not entirely sure how to answer that. " Because I like this place?"
nods a little at that. "You're here a lot more often than other countries that like it here, though."
tilts her head at that, " If you don't want me to return here, you can say so. I wouldn't mind."
shakes his head. "It's still good business for you and your kind here."
blinks at that response, " Then what's bothering you about the fact that I like visiting?"
shrugged his shoulders. "I normally stay around other countries that visit, unless I'm busy."
looked at him oddly before smiling, " In other words, you want to hang out with me?"
huffs and shakes his head. "I just watch from a distance." He didn't want to give the wrong impression.
laughs and nods, " That sounds pretty creepy." She stated in an oblivious manner.
huffs. "I don't stalk them. I just make sure they're not doing anything in my country."
raised a brow, " Why would anyone do anything to a place they like? You're essentially stalking."
sighs. "I don't trust anyone. And if they don't like something, I can learn from it and teach the people."
shrugs, " Have I stated that there wasn't anything I didn't like here?"
chuckles, " Then there's no reason to follow me around for the entire afternoon." She pointed out, hinting that she kew she was being followed.
huffed and started walking away. "Just don't touch the tree."
shrugs and went back to her spot to read again, sitting at the base of the tree. She found that statement quite silly in itself.
went to a cafe and got some tea, then sat by the window. He'd watch until she left then leave her be.
continued to just read quietly, shifting her glasses every now and then. She seemed more absorbed in her book than anything else.
glad for that. He took his time sipping his tea and idly sketching on a napkin.
took a pause as she pulled out her notebook and jotted down a few quotes and things that came to her mind as she looked around.
lost track of her as he was no making a bit of a masterpiece with his napkin, getting a little out of hand.
had left her spot by that time and went to wander off to the city seeing that it was getting close to the evening.
suddenly looked back to the tree and saw she was gone, smirking faintly. Now he was free to do what he wanted.
tapped on his shoulder curious as to why he was smirking. " So you've been spying on me this whole entire time?"
flinched and quickly hit her hand away from touching him. He huffed and crumpled up the napkin after. "I've been trying to enjoy my tea."
reach over and undid the napkin, curious as to why he did that. " I don't think you're enjoying your tea when its gone cold and still full to the brim."
took the napkin back from her and put it in his pocket. "I don't like it too warm." He picked it up after and sipped it, making a bit of a face at how cold it was.
wondered what was on the napkin since he was so secretive about it. " It's cold isn't it?"
just didn't want her to see the mess he made on it. He didn't reply, as it seemed quite obvious it was cold.
laughs and nods, " You're a really weird person after all."
mumbled quietly. "Don't you want to go explore the city?"
smiles more after, " I was wondering if you wanted to come along with me. You seemed like you have plenty of free time, ja?"
sighs as he put the tea down after. "Why do you think I'd want to spend time with you?"
shrugs, " It's better than stalking me for the rest of the day."
sighs again and leaned back. "Like I said, I wasn't stalking you. And I wasn't planning to follow you around all day."
nods, " You know it's easier to say no if you don't want to come along instead of questioning everything I do." She pointed. " The offer is still up if you want to come along." She left for the city soon after.
shook his head and waited for her to leave before finding another napkin to draw on.
sighed softly and went off to explore the places she hadn't visited yet. She wasn't bothered why his attitude at all but figured her persistence was ignored like in the past and decided to move on.
still thought of when she knocked herself out at his place and didn't find that to be a positive start to a relationship. He wasn't going to spend his life being someones caretaker. He had his own passions.
didn't think she needed to prove herself on who she truly was around someone like him seeing how terrible he was. To her, he was a selfish person and she didn't need people like him in her life.
selfish since he was never around anyone else. He had worked alone all his life, and was bound to believe he'd be alone forever.
figured that there was no hope in a person like him. She had grown tired of always chasing for other people and thought for once, she would think for her own happiness rather than for someone else's.
glad she was pleased with her decision then. He finished up in the cafe and headed out for a walk in the city to check up on things.
sat just quietly in a bar, enjoying her beer while reading her book again. She scribbled a few notes in her notebook once in a while but kept to herself for the most part.
wondered even why she had a notebook around. He didn't think the Danes were that observant.
wasn't the fool everyone expects her to be just because her counterpart was one. She would jot down notes that she felt were important.
wouldn't question it anymore then. He just checked out a few markets to make sure there wasn't anything too illegal going on.
blinks as a few random people came up to her asking if she was selling or buying their wares but she obliviously rejected them everytime. Her opinion of this place didn't seem to be as positive anymore.
knew a lot of people didn't like the main city because of how it was organised and ran. But then again others seemed to love it.
seemed more and more disappointed as the behaviour and treatment towards her was quite frequent in people trying to sell their goods. She frowned after deciding to take her leave for good, frankly disgusted.
guessed she'd not be coming back to the country again, which he didn't mind. At least she'd not accidentally destroy something now.
didn't ever harm the place once after her first visit. Rather her opinion of the place had changed. Sure it was a beautiful place out the outside, but it hid the corruptness and_
_ how grotesque it was on the inside. It was a pity really since he was the exact reflection of it.
didn't care what other nations thought really. He wasn't around to make friends anyways. He just wanted his people to be happy and successful.
doubted his people looked happy or successful if they were in such a state. She had much more respect for Holly compared to him because the former wouldn't allow such sights to be visible.
more so concerned about facts and statistics, and wasn't the best with being able to tell physical emotion.
thought it was going to cost him a lot considering she brought a lot of business to other countries by visiting them and spread about how nice they were by the word of mouth.
didn't mind since Danes would still visit, as well as tourists from all over the world.
didn't think it was going to cover much of what he had lost and will lose either way. She was a smart woman and knew how to work businesses easily in her favour.
still didn't really care. He was his own great business man. That's why he had the best trade system in the world. Money over friends, after all.
...would laugh at the fact that he was a has been and how ignorant he was. He was no longer rich and was nothing compared to the super powers. it was pitiful...
Still had the best trading company in the world. And most known. He found that successful.
found the key words to be had. It wasn't worth as much as other trading companies and was still incomparable with other nations. Added the fact that there was debt and problems with EU, _
_there was no recognized success for him anymore. Nobody frankly cared with all the problems present now.
didn't care what she thought, regardless. He didn't have any self esteem problems for her to work with either.
had no problems with her self esteem but the fact he tried to make himself feel better with such statements were rather silly.
didn't care still. He was himself and wasn't changing for anyone.
found that he sounded more foolish and a bad liar. He was even more mature as a child than how he was now.
going to ignore her and just kept drawing on his napkin.
