unfortunately we have bread the sheep to have the tails, & when a station has thousands of head of sheep this is the most economical way to treat them. its sad, i know i wish there was a better way too

In my experience, PETA's goal is to shock rather than to educate. They've spoken against using animals for any purpose, including guiding-eye dogs. Recommend doing further research if you care about the issue.
