We would plan to cycle as follows: Day 1. Taipei - Luodong (by Pinglin) Day 2: A bit aup Nr 7 and then back and along the east coast toward Hualin (overall 100km and up to 1000m elevation)
Day 4: Hehuan-san (part 2 - to the top 1300m elevation). If the roads are ok I would love to ride on the other side for approx 70km/max additional 300 - 500m elevation) Day 5: Another 100km with approx 1000 - 1
Day 6: Back to Taipei; ideally max 100km as we would like to be in Taipei around noon so that I can show Nathalie around Taipei for a few hours. Plane leaves at 7pm.
We will arrive at 6am in the morning on Thursday, May 23. Not much sleep sduring the 4hours flight so we will probably fall asleep on the bicycle...hence the short ride on Day 1. Don't worry about us, we will
Don't worry about us, we will find our way also in Taiwan - remember we cycled Korea from North to South....I would find it fantastic if we could ride Hehuan-san together with you and other friends from the UBS
I checked a bit for accomodation and it seem that there are many B&Bs around along the east coast and generally in Taiwan. Some travellers say there is no need to book in advance. What do you think?
