ANYWAYS to make up for being cute and pink and tiny. as a person, she probably didn't make it over five feet tall until she was a clefairy. she reaches 5'3" as a clefable and it's the best thing ever.
she also may have tried to pick up smoking because she thought it would make her look tougher but it lasted maybe a day because wow gross and also probably hardcore scolding. worst badass in the world.
☼: what childhood... until au week, nyx had no actual childhood memories due to dying as an adult and being "born" already with that mind. she spent the first couple years mostly just being confused and unhappy
and sort of having to learn how to exist. until she grew up and started playing pranks and fighting back, nyx didn't get along with other ghost, excepting her 'mom' and sort of latched on to her and the cubones
while she figured out what the hell her personality was. granted once she actually had one again she started getting kind of annoyed by the cubones so whoops no more of that.
(even though i keep drawing cute pictures of her with little cubones hahahaaaa)
i sort of lost track of where i was going with that. 'childhood' was scary and then mostly kind of lonely and nyx didn't get along with anyone the end.
☼ for carter is not much better honestly. better than it could have been because she wasn't a bee yet but she was still all weird confusing psychic shit and moving too much to really have friends her own age.
she was and is very close to her parents, though! the rest of her family got freaked out and sort of stopped associating with them, but they have never been anything but supportive.
she mentions them growing sunflowers once and i just have the most adorable mental image of little baby carter trying to help mom and dad in the garden.

also them having to try like five times to actually get a garden existing long enough to have blooming sunflowers.
♤ carter: i don't think carter has really tried to do much cooking. she would do well with a good, precise recipe, but having to use her own judgement would fluster the hell out of her. she's too used to things
having to be really precise and careful because there are horror stories about what happens when you fuck up with the textbooks she's used to. so. she wouldn't be a GREAT cook, but she wouldn't be a bad one?
oh my god i talk too much ☮ for nyx: she is surprisingly really neat! this is more out of a lack of possessions than it is out of any kind of actual want to be neat, though. her room is probably a little
disconcerting for people who are used to a living space looking, y'know. lived in. but the options are either barebones and creepy, or if she is feeling bird-y then her bed might be turned into a nest.
she's kind of embarrassed by this and will do anything she can not to let people see it.
☮ for carter: also not very messy! she's very used to living with other people, and has basically perfected the art of being the least obtrusive roommate ever.
she feels like she's probably one of the worst people to live with anyways, and the least she can do is keep her shit clean and together and out of the other person's way.

so i guess she stays on the thinner and shorter side, though less of both of these than as a girl, her hair is probably not much shorter in the back, but without the long bangs?
i just realized nyx and bulba have approximately the same haircut, if you rearrange where they part it.

really the only visible difference for dude!carter is flat chest, replace raccoon eyes from too much eyeliner with raccoon eyes from too little sleep, and actually put pants on.
maybe he'd wear a hoodie that actually fits, too, but who knows.
(i'm honestly not sure if carter is legitimately bad at clothes or if she just wound up with really bad luck with the zombies happening during prom)
(like i have no idea if she actually thinks hoodie+leggings is excellent outfit choice, or if it's just what she was able to put on instead of a dress...)
