yes she is blind but that was when she was 18 months old but the vet said - she can see a bit and that given that they are pigs

In Ecuador, they keep them in the kitchen, in a little stone cage. There's a reason for that....

It's cuy, or a cavy . . . or a guinea pig . . . or, as a friend of mine who couldn't say "guinea pig" called it, an iguana pork.

Bevan, I've never been on a guinea pig forum. Daisy is cuuuuuuute! What a long-lived piggie! Mine's a year-and-a-half old male.

well even when I go home for 3 months in the summer, I have a pig sitter

lovely story - I had NO idea I couldn't take Daisy home (this was years ago) because the airlines thing that piggies are rodents

oh and a pig could escape from a cage and eat the wire of a plane

so I just went crazy looking for a pig sitter

oh cute the US Ambassador to France's wife is a huge pig lover but she goes home the same time as me LOL

so posted my "need pig sitter" everywhere and this lovely French woman emailed me back and now we are best friends in RL
